Nice place from the outside, and the décor was inviting as well. Staff was nice and for the most part, the restaurant was clean. Now onto the BBQ… not BBQ in my opinion… the brisket was cut super thick, but it tasted just like pot roast in a bag, had no smoke ring at all and was on the dry side as well. The ribs were okay, but again had no smoke ring, and were still kinda bland. The turkey again had no smoke ring what so ever and was dry as all hell. Now for the sides… beans were some of the worst ever… really who puts in cinnamon… not cool, potato salad tasted like it was straight outta the deli section at reasors perhaps worse… All in all for being rated in the top 3BBQ places in tulsa, i am scared to try anymore BBQ here…

I’ve had Albert G’s BBQ many times at parties and family gatherings but haven’t been in to this location for a while. It’s in an old gas station which is neat(except I wasn’t a fan of the bathrooms being accessible from the outside only but hey, it was a gas station.) The atmosphere is very, very casual but I thought it was pretty clean and comfortable. You order at the counter then they bring your food to your table. I ordered the two meat dinner with chopped brisket and bologna. For the two sides I chose baked beans and potato salad. I did not like the baked beans at all — they had a strange citrusy taste that no one in our group cared for. I really enjoyed the potato salad though — it was creamy with a very pleasant flavor. My husband ordered the two meat dinner with pork and ribs, chips and tabouli. I ended up eating most of his tabouli because he didn’t care for it. I’ve never found a tabouli I didn’t like but this was certainly not the best in town. I much prefer Freddie’s or the homemade variety. Albert G’s meats are good — pretty typical BBQ. But nothing ‘above and beyond’ like the meats from Burnco. Overall, I would recommend Albert G’s as it is pretty on par with other basic BBQ in town. I appreciate that they have good hours(instead of being open only during lunch) and do catering as well. When we experienced a death in the family, we had a few people bring over Albert G’s and it was great for all of the people who were in and out during the week.

All the meat is smoked perfectly and the sides freshly made everyday. Employees do their best for customer satisfaction and work hard to keep everything running smoothly. As a current employee, I couldn’t praise this place anymore. It’s a great place to eat and work!

The décor and atmosphere here is really fun! I was surprised at how much character there is inside since the outside is so plain. I’ve been to the downtown location a few times and will say that I think the food was better there, but overall it is great BBQ. I had ribs, coleslaw, and tabouli. Their tabouli is great and fresh. You must try that! Their mustard sauce is great and you can have all the pickles that you want. The coleslaw is a bit sweet for my taste but not bad. I prefer Billy’s Sims ribs and the pulled pork here but all BBQ is pretty good!

I regularly get one of their«hotlinks» and tabouli to-go. However, I have to say it’s the tabouli that keeps me coming back. The barbecue is good. The tabouli is GREAT! It’s not necessarily the most«authentic»(whatever that is), but the unique mixture of green onions and tomatoes really works. Service has always been fast and the restaurant looks clean. If you’re a tabouli connoisseur, you owe it to yourself to try their«non-traditional» version. Awesome!

This is good old fashioned barbecue, seasoned well, smoked for days and served hot. The sauce is home made and the meat is smoked daily. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the old gas station barbecue joints. This is a Tulsa classic.

Chopped brisket was great as well as the BBQ sauce! Also nice employees and pretty fast service. not too pricy about $ 8 a sandwich and you get one side. Only issue I had was there are only like 4 items to chose from for the sides and they are horrible ! Fix the sides guys!

Over priced for such small portions. Sorry, but your food isn’t that good. The teenagers working seemed to be inconvenienced by me wanting to place my order. I have heard such good things about this place but it was a huge disappointment. I will never go back. Elmer’s is better.

Excellent bbq; it had been years since we ate here because we moved from the area, so when we came to town for a visit we stopped in. Good chopped beef; good turkey; we love the sweet sauce.

The very best BBQ in Tulsa. The owner that took it over for Elmer is so nice. You need to try this place. The ribs literally fall off the bone!

Not a bad BBQ and a step up from crib BBQ. Served fast and hot by a friendly staff, Albert G’s does it right! The sauce is fantastic!

The meat was ok and the BBQ sauce was good. I was looking for some good BBQ and I left unfulfilled. I got the pulled pork and chopped brisket. The meat was ok and I got baked beans. I have never tried bled beans that tasted like that. The beans tasted like there was cinnamon in them and the sweet was not my kind of sweet taste for baked beans. My husband had ribs, turkey and sausage and he said it was also ok. He also got the beans which we both left on our tray barely touched. He said the potato salad was good. We will not be going back anytime soon. In fact I might just take a chance with a chain BBQ restaurant before I would return to Albert G’s BBQ.

Decided to once again grab some bbq for the family as we love some flavorful Q. I decided to grab the 3 meat family meal at a pretty fair price of 15.99 plus tax. I decided on the ribs, chopped beef and brisket. For side items I chose the baked beans and tabouli. The ribs were nice and meaty and very flavorful. This particular location uses spare ribs. The chopped beef was nice, tender and juicy enough to not need any sauce. The brisket also had a nice flavor but was my least favorite of the three. It was still very tasty, however. Now, my biggest factor for Q besides not being over smoked and having a nice rub is whether you feel the need to put sauce on it in order to eat it. I enjoy good BBQ sauce and Albert G’s sauce has a nice flavor, but I want to be able to eat the meat without feeling like I have to drench it to put it down. This bbq doesn’t need the sauce. It accentuates rather than covers up a poor quality Q. My wife told me that the tabouli was great and I will take her word. The baked beans tasted like they have a hint of cinnamon in them and all three of us enjoyed them. Overall, the place offers a nice value to feed yourself of your family without breaking the bank.

Being from California, we don’t get good BBQ like Oklahoma does! It’s the one things I miss and indulge every time I make a trip back here. I’ve never been here before, but it was recommended by my uncle, and my dad said it’s his new favorite place when he visits. And oh my! It did not disappoint. Just the smell when you walk in is delicious. It’s clean, simple, and had an vintage décor. The staff is friendly and get your grub out quickly. Lunch time for me, and I had a sausage BBQ san which. I normally would have never picked this, but it sounded so good. I tried my moms chicken, and my uncles beef sandwhich, and they were all sooooo good, the sauce was also wonderful. When I come visit, I’ll be back!,

Went back here after many years, and I’m upset that it took me so long to go back. The bbq was amazing, reasonably priced, and the staff was super friendly. We took some friends from Spain and the staff suggested we get a variety of meats to try. They were all delicious, sizable portions, and we had a great time. The building is not inviting from the outside, but the inside is very comfortable with old gas station memorabilia. It’s clean and has plenty of space at great tables. The condiments including pickle bar is a nice touch. They have soft drinks and several bottled beers that are moderately priced, and they have a beer bucket special.

Good BBQ. Had the pulled pork & bologna — would have preferred a little more heat to the ‘hot’ BBQ sauce, but it was still good. Vinegar based was a touch better. Had a side of tabouli — surprisingly flavorful. The potato salad was creamy, mayo based, not chunky which was disappointing. The white wonder bread was unnecessary, but maybe that’s just me

As a girl from Texas BBQ is right up there with Football, almost a religion. I went to Albert G’s on recommendation of the locals an «all right» place to go. I ordered a 2 meat sandwich without the bun since all of the side items were either starch or on my allergy«no no» list. Hot Link and Brisket ordered moist. The small inside seat was full, so we chose to sit outside, which as it wasn’t too hot wasn’t a bad choice. The sauce was sweeter than I like it to be, not much spice at all. Sandwich came with the bun, no big deal I just hate wasting the bread, hot links were dry but tasty. Brisket… thickly cut and extremely dry, so either moist is not an option and the lady taking my order failed to tell me this or… they missed the mark. My co worker had the brisket as well and the chicken, which she did not finished due to how dry it was(I’m sensing a theme). I’ll give this place another shot in a couple of weeks to make sure it wasn’t just an off day… but… we’ll see

Chopped beef was really good. You can actually taste beef! Potato salad a bit sweet for my taste but it is homemade. They have the most crunchy pickle bar in town! Bob’s got the 3 meat combo; ribs, sliced brisket and polish sausage with side of beans and cole slaw. He said its so good he got it on his face!

Time to bring down the ratings a bit. Had the hot links, chopped brisket and tried the new sausage they just switched to, which is made my the same company as the Hot links. Hot links were the best thing I ate, but that isn’t saying much since they buy them pre-made and just smoke them. Everyone at the table basically said we wouldn’t come back. Much better Q around Tulsa. The potato salad was mostly mustard and they quite possibly used mashed potatoes, or blended the mixture to death afterwards. Couldn’t find a chunk anywhere. The baked beans were forgettable. If I was blindfolded, I might think I was eating baby food. The beans themselves were cooked way to long and went to mush, and they had no favor. Even the brisket had zero favor, which is difficult to accomplish if you smoke it. Even the ‘hot’ sauce had little favor. I go back and forth between a 1 or 2, it wasn’t bad tasting, just had no taste. I don’t even remember the place smelling like BBQ.
