Kudos to Richard!!! He was very patient helping my 90 year old grandmother get some well overdue new shoes. He listened to her, measured, and thought out of the box. She is very happy with her new shoes

I dropped in to get new shoes for work, as the ones I’d been wearing had long ago worn out.
Jay greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and introduced himself. He asked me if he could help me find anything. I described roughly what I was looking for and he walked me right to the shoes. He made some suggestions and told me to come find him with any further questions.
After I’d tried on shoes for a few minutes, Jay returned and offered his assistance. He helped me find the right pair of shoes for the right price and also suggested some orthopedic inserts. He put the inserts into the shoes so I could feel the difference and I was sold.
When he rung me up for the shoes he offered additional savings through a coupon found on the mobile app and saved me about $ 20, or the cost of the inserts.
I can’t express how happy I was with my experience, I wish every customer service/​sales rep was like him. I’ll definitely be a return customer.

Went in today to get a good pair of nikes. The customer service was amazing! They greeted me as I walked in but left me alone while I was looking around, which I highly appreciate. I usually avoid shopping for the simple reason of the employees asking me if I need anything every two seconds.
While I was paying for my shoes the lady that was ringing me up was very nice and easy to talk to!

Had to buy shoes in a rush for my dad today and received exceptional help from the associate here. Was incredibly personable, helped my dad get a good fitting shoe and even got us the NJ sales tax here in Seattle!

I’m probably the least likely person to shop in this type of store but after coming off the new ramp they built in the area, I ended up being corralled by the traffic to stay in the far right lane and ended up pulling in here to turn around. I’d intended to hit the mall to go to some other shoes stores but thought maybe I should just check this out.
When we arrived, a southern gal asked what we were looking for and I told her running shoes. She pointed and said they were along the wall. I’m new to running so I wanted to check them out and then get some advice. When I approached her again, she seemed uninterested in my questioning, walked ahead of me and took me to their most bought shoe by runners. Fortunately, I did get some insole advice from her but I’m not sure now if it was just a selling point or if I truly need them. Each question I asked seemed to be right on her heel, as she would answer and then turn to walk away. It was a little awkward and uninspiring. At one point, I had to track her down again to ask her another question and it seemed I was annoying her. Although her and the two other staff members were standing around talking.
I wouldn’t go back. It seemed like the people actually shopping in the store were a nuisance to the people working there and I don’t want to bother anybody.

I visted this famous footwear to buy some sneakers and I was able to find them pretty quickly there were two ladies working on a Sunday night and the store was somewhat busy. After I found what I needed I stood to be rang up one lady was rining up another customer and the other lady was sitting yes sitting on the bench where you would try on shoes. I stood there for awhile before I looked straight at her then she got up and started to ring me up I asked if I could also place a online order for a dressy pair of shoes. She told me I would have to have the style number. I asked how do I get that? To which she replied I dont know. I found the name of the shoe to try and help she then said she couldnt locate it and also that it might not be available for home delivery.
At this point I was confused and upset. How is a shoe online not available for home delivery? If I order that shoe on your website it gets delivered to me. So is it only available for store delivery? Again this doesn’t make sense. In the end I found the style number for the shoe on my Smart Phone and she was able to order it and wouldn’t you believe it for home delivery.
This was poor customer service but I still love the shoes I purchased.

While Famous Footwear is not a «warehouse» like DSW, they will often carry the same shoes, sometimes for a few bucks cheaper.
Staff is nice and willing to help should you need it. Also, if they’re out of your size you can order the shoes and they will deliver them to your address, free shipping!

I went to this store the first time last Friday and I was turned off by the sales person. I don’t know about the other staff members as he was the only person at the time on the sales floor, but I did not appreciate his attitude with me.
I went in there primarily to look for athletic shoes, but I wanted to take a peek at other women’s shoes as well. The sales person pointed out where to find the athletic shoes, so I thanked him and headed in that direction. When I stopped to look at a dress shoe, he said «No, that’s not it. I don’t think the marathon runners at the recent event ran in high heels» in a snooty, condescending kind of tone. I put the shoe down and made my way around the long section to the back, and he said «Those are kids shoes.»
By this time I was ready to leave but my husband wanted to see what they had. I told him why I was kind of pissed and we quickly left the store. I’m not stupid. I know what atheltic shoes, heels, and kids shoes are. We ended up buying at Sports Authority accross the street, as they had better selection and excellent customer service. I will not step foot into this particular Famous Footwear again. I do not need the condescending attitude and someone talking to me like I’m an idiot.
