Terrible dining experience. Period. I am not one to ever send an order back but geesh, the server wrote down the most opposite item of what in reality was ordered. After acting as if she was half dead while taking our order she just completely disappeared… We never did see her again. The cook/owner quickly corrected her mistake but the food was less than appetizing. The hashbrowns were raw with just the outer edges being brown. Hands down the worst hashbrowns and they’re difficult to mess up. My husband ordered eggs and a pork chop which he thought was ok but his hashbrowns were raw as well and his bisquit was very hard and dry. They’ve been open all summer and have yet to serve Decaf coffee according to one of the servers. While paying we were informed our server who disappeared is the owner’s sister. Poor woman would never even cut it at Waffle House.

I love supporting local business, especially mom and pop eateries for breakfast. My daughter and I went on a Monday, ordered breakfast and were really hungry. My daughters omelet came and in the home fries was a LONGGREYHAIR. We lost our appetites so just had the toast. When we went to pay, I was charged extra because I had Rye toast. I didn’t read the«fine print». One waitress for the entire place having to search for spoons for our coffee, and no refills(she was too busy). Between the hair in our food, extra for rye toast and mediocre food I would recommend any place else.

Damn you Robert’s! That was our first choice but there was a huge wait and we had someplace we had to be relatively soon. I remembered a buddy telling me about this place and it was on the way. Right away we should have known this was going to be a bad experience. The place was not full but there were a lot of tables with dirty dishes on them. We waited a few minutes before someone even approached us and then were told that a tabled needed to be cleaned before they could seat us. We’re finally seated and given menus. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs with homefries and my wife ordered sausage and eggs with hashbrowns. The menu says if you want rye or sourdough toast it’s an extra $.50. This was the first WTF of the day. We waited a while for our food. I saw others come in after us and get their food before us… WTF? We finally get our food and my wife asks for ketchup. The waitress tells us, «Let me see if we have any. I think we were running out.» WTF? It’s ten in the morning and a breakfast place is running out of ketchup? We start eating our food and I notice that my homefries are FILLED with green peppers and onions. I am not a green pepper fan and this annoys me. Had I known, I would have ordered the hashbrowns but the menu does not say this. My wife asks for jelly for her toast. Ten minutes later and no jelly. The waitress forgot. I get up to go ask for some and she gives me ONE. WTF? The breading on the chicken fried steak was falling off and the meat was gristly. My wife said her hashbrowns were greasy. All in all… a very disappointing breakfast. Prices were OK and the place has a kitschy Gilligan’s Island them, but between the bad service and the mediocre food, no mother would be proud of these three and a half brothers.

Good stuff! Just had dinner and enjoyed everything. Fish sandwich… very tasty! Fries were great, onion rings even better! Burgers were hand patted(I think!) and very tasty. Friendly service and even the cook thanked us for coming in… When does that happen!!! Give these local guys a try :)

We went again. Richard got the Southern Bell Skillet again, and I got the pancake breakfast special. And oh yes, it was just as delicious as ever! I asked for blueberry pancakes, and the blueberries were so fresh! You just know they popped rand new ones into my pancakes. And there were a lot of them! Again, just so happy this place moved in down the street from me. It’s delicious, fresh, home cooked yumminess.

Returned twice since my first visit and the eggs, over easy, are never over cooked and always perfect and OMG the HOMEFRIES! The waitresses are extra talkative but fade into the background after while. This is going to be my go to place for breakfast!

We have been in several times in the last few months as we have been looking for a new greasy spoon for our weekend mornings. Thinking its time to move on. It’s like eating in a soap opera. One time the waitress is cussing the kitchen staff in front of the customers. One time in the bus girl is calling her mommy to come help her.(she looked 14). First time in there was a note on a window about the police showing up to keep the peace, now it looks like they want to sell alcohol? Then there is the seagull management that seem to fly in shit on all the employees and fly off. On trip in we waited like 50 minutes to get food. But there is the fact that the food is just like dad fixed it, and damn it is Good FOOD.

I’ve been to this place two or three times for breakfast. The first time I ordered the chorizo omelet with a side biscuit. In Tucson, chorizo and eggs should be a safe choice, but these were less than mediocre. The chorizo was very greasy(okay it’s chorizo) but also the cheese tasted very fake. Like, American style cheese product instead of good old-fashioned cheddar. Also, the biscuit was inedible. The second time I went here, it was better. I was intrigued by the«bacon cakes» because I LOVE all things bacon. These are pancakes with bacon pieces actually cooked into the batter. This is definitely the most creative thing on the menu, if not the best executed. It tasted pretty good, but I ended up with a strange after-taste in my mouth after eating them. It tried my friend’s banana pancakes, and these are definitely the way to go. The banana pancakes far exceeded anything else I’ve tried. I would not go back to this restaurant, except to maybe have the banana pancakes again. Overall, the place is a bit weird, especially the confusing entrance. The servers are friendly but not exceptionally fast. The cooks like to peek out of the kitchen to greet customers, which was nice.

The décor reminds me of an Island Themed Denny’s. Pleasant diner atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered and larger than the indoor but I haven’t seen the restaurant busy enough to get filled to capacity. The food is what you would expect from a breakfast and lunch type of diner. Pricing is about even with what you would expect at an Ihop or Denny’s. Though not quite as competitive as similar Tucson restaurants.(i.e. Brawley’s and Bobo’s)

It pains me to have to write this update, but after our meal today I have to. The service was still good, very pleasant and friendly. However the food was awful. The first time we went the gravy was thick, a little spicy and heavenly. Now it’s bland, gross and watered down. The sausage is nothing more than re-heated frozen patties. The biscuits were the most palatable part of the meal but still seem to be something that was formerly frozen. My boyfriend said his egg(ordered over medium) were under cooked and ‘like snot’. The coffee was like water and even the water tasted off! Such a disappointment, it was SO good when they first opened. Hopefully some changes get made, but honestly I won’t be back to find out.

Fresh homemade biscuits? I don’t think so — those are frozen assembly-line hockey puck glueballs thawed in an industrial steamer. If you want amazing homemade biscuits, go to the B-Line. And if you want more than one piece(ONEPIECE!!!) of bacon, go anywhere else. If you like cheap coffee, go to a gas station, or go here. The service was great — I kind of wish they had been cooking the food. I was so excited about this place, and it does have charm, but for actual eatin’, I should have gone to the Village Bakehouse.

Went in on Sunday morning, they had one waitress working(who was working hard) but had to wait over twenty minutes at our table before ordering, the people next to us got up and left after other tables that were seated after them got their food first. When our food finally arrived it was not bad, but there were eggs and other bits of food mixed in with the oatmeal. Waste of time

I think I ordered the wrong thing. My omelette was good but not great. The specials seem to be what everyone orders. The burger, the guy next to me looked delicious! Will try again for lunch!

Pretty good. I had the southern bell skillet(chicken fried steak, hash browns, biscuits, eggs and gravy), which didn’t actually come in a skillet but whatever. The gravy was a bit on the salty side, the biscuits were slightly crunchy/chewy. Different than what I was expecting, but not bad. Fiancée had the chili cheeseburger. They brought out a chili cheese dog and realized the error without us saying anything, which earns them big kudos in my book. About half of the onion rings were a little on the undercooked side, the rest were crispy and delicious. Everything was good, tasted homemade, and extremely affordable.

Service was fast and friendly and the food was great. I had a burger after being assured it was«hand-formed», not a frozen hockey puck. It was a real burger and the meat was moist and tasty, but the bacon(of which there was plenty) could have been a little crisper. The fries were the slender crinkle cut ones like Luke’s used to serve. I really like them, especially since the potatoes were peeled. My friend had breakfast and I can’t see how he managed to pack it all in. It was huge. I’m trying breakfast next trip.

If you’re looking for a home cooked meal and heaping portions this is the place. The staff was extremely friendly and the prices were not just reasonable but maybe even under priced for the skillets $ 7 for Chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and 2 biscuits and gravy? Easily could have been shared between two people. Best Breakfast in Tucson hands down. Will be back very soon.
