Went in with high expectations left still hungry because the food was just barely edible. I hate to slam places but the food was just NOT good. I spent 30.00 on a couple beef bowls/plates a pork plate and an extra side of beef. I’m from California and have eaten at several rice bowl type of joints and food trucks so I know good bowls. This stuff was just a mistake and we actually had to buy dinner again at another establishment because we literally tossed the food out. I’m very confused by the decent reviews given here on Unilocal because anyone with tastebuds couldn’t possibly give this restaurant more than 2 stars. Long story short if you get a chance to eat at the rice bowl pass it up!

I’ve eaten here a few times, used the Unilocal deal. The beef and brocolli was flavorful even though it looked burnt, it wasn’t. My son ate all the teriyaki chicken and he is a picky eater now. Prices are a little more expensive than the place at the mall but its closer to where I live and they do Tuesday Teriyaki bowls and a small drink for $ 3.99 which isn’t bad.

We never seem to go wrong with The Bowl. We’ve been here many times and food quality are always good and constant. I would not in any way consider the food here traditional Japanese or Chinese food, but traditional or not, its Delicious! If you like Americanize Asian food like Panda Express, you’ll like The Bowl. I love their Teriyaki Chicken, if only they sell their sauces in a bottle! I also love how they use dark meat chicken, its PERFECT, so tender and flavorful. Just tried their orange chicken as well last week, the crust was light and fluffy. The sauce tasted very fresh and flavorful. We always visit The Bowl with Unilocal’s $ 10 for $ 20 deal, which is an excellent deal for the portion. However if you’re getting food there at regular menu price, I personally think the meat portion is a bit too small. I always ask for double meat which is only a dollar-ish more, so not too bad! Service here is standard, nothing extraordinary. The owner lady can come across as a bit surly sometimes, but it is a fast food-ish type place so I really shouldn’t expect much. Instead of wolfing it down right away next time we visit, we promise we’ll take some photos of our food! ;)

This placed used to be amazing when it was called Yokohama I would usually get a beef broccoli and that was great but now the beef is just terrible it’s shredded now and its not pleasing to me when it was Yokohama I always wanted to go back and now I think that place is trash

Great food good service, we had a wide variety I had the sesame chicken it tasted pretty good for a fast food place. My daughter’s had orange chicken and teriyaki chicken and they also said it was great. My boyfriend had yaki soba noodles which he really liked and he’s a harsh critic because he just got back from Japan. Overall good price, good service I was impressed and full

The food here is always fresh and the place is clean and comfortable. I like their specials, and really appreciate their military discount. It used to the Yokohama Rice Bowl, and it looks like they are continuing their excellent service.

The food is always fresh and hot. The food quality is worth the price! Make sure you get the egg rolls!!! Best I have ever had! Such a great place to go for lunch. Fast service!!!

Dirty, smelled like bathroom bleach and the food was a joke. I wouldn’t eat there again and wouldn’t recommend it unless you are obsessed with greasy egg rolls.

Really good food, I suggest getting the variety bowl. The chicken teriyaki is their best seller, but honestly I’ve had better. Now their sesame chicken and BBQ pork and orange chicken were all awesome. Very ckean, spacious, and good atmosphere. 4 stars because everything you eat and drink out of is Styrofoam, even if you eat«for here» which is kinda weird and makes me feel guilty and like I’m eating take out. Overall really good!

Excellent service and excellent food. I like to mix things up a bit and they always customize my bowls(extra meat, no veggies, fried rice, on noodles) each time a little different and each time delicious!!! The egg rolls are fantastic and the crab puffs are delicious!!! The prices are great and better than most fast food prices. Two thumbs up!

I’m really amazed at all the amazing reviews… Bought the groupon. Staff was friendly, wasn’t really all that clean of a restaurant, run down kinda vibe, food was better than Panda Express… But if I really wanted a teriyaki bowl, I’d settle for jack in the box over this place any day.

I’ve been searching for a good chicken bowl since moving to Tucson 3 years ago. Now I’ve finally found it! The teriyaki chicken bowl and egg roll were beyond delicious! The teriyaki sauce tastes wonderful. I was very impressed and completely satisfied with my food. I will definitely be coming back here. I highly recommend you try this place out.

I would drive across town for this place. There crab puffs are the best I’ve EVER had. I’ve been going here since it was Yokohama rice bowl. The staff is very friendly. There lunch specials are cheap and delicious.

They seem pretty friendly. I ate the sesame chicken. It was pretty good. It was really affordable and seem to be Unilocal friendly. I’ll probably go there again if I remeber. It quenches that craving that I have.

I like the fact that it’s always fresh and tastes homemade. I’ve eaten here about a dozen times and each time has been great. I had the sesame chicken, it was good but a little soggy. The owner is super genuine and friendly too. Price is right for healthy food made fast.

The Bowl offers classic Asian meals that will fill your need for comfort. I discovered this quiet subdued restaurant by accident during a family outing. Tucked away in the strip mall near Sam Levitt Furniture and Hughes Credit Union, this unexpected little place offers perfectly combo’s meals with a versatility of choice. I like the Spicy teriyaki chicken and orange chicken … the rice is even cooked to awesomness. I found myself going back for more the next day. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh. Try The Bowl just once & you won’t be sorry! You could find yourself returning often as a regular customer.

It’s not often that I get the opportunity to eat at The Bowl Asian Kitchen because I live on the other side of town, but every once in awhile I just have to have their Spicy Teriyaki Chicken. Tonight I made the 20 minute drive to satisfy my craving, and I’m so glad I did. The staff is always friendly and the food is delicious. So the next time you want some fast asian cuisine forget about Panda Express and give these guys a try, you’ll be glad you did!
