I stopped by the Dusty Monk the day after Christmas. They had series of great beer and whisky. People are nice, and the bar atmosphere was cozy. It was lucky finding this bar while I took a self-guided walking tour of Tucson. The alcohol prices differ based on the values of bottles. Some items out of the menu seemed rare and worthy to try. I would love to visit again next time I come to Tucson.

Awesome beer and great bartenders. Fantastic beer selection, good vinyl always going on, and low-key for the quiet nights out.

This bar is awesome for its character & personnel. It’s great for a night that’s low key but enjoyable. Bartenders are really cool and the selection of drinks is excellent. Although the beer selection is not my personal favorite, the cocktail offerings are superb. I like the sloe gin fizz. This is the place to support in your local community!

Me and my mister sauntered into The Dusty Monk about a month ago… and it was the best night we ever had! It’s a bit off the beaten path, which means not a lot of students(don’t get me wrong. I LOVE college students, but not so much in my bar!) great selection of beers(they have La Fin DuMonde!) an extended hard liquor list(say that 10 times real fast… liquor list, liquor list, liquor list…) a sweet little court yard, and our bartender was personable, knowledgeable, and nice! We live in Oro Valley, so we don’t make it into downtown Tucson as much as we’d like. But we’ll be heading down to this sweet spot again as soon as possible!

The Dusty Monk is a small, out of the way bar a bit off the beaten path in the downtown area. It’s connected to La Concina restaurant. The female bartender we encountered on a Friday during happy hour was very nice and conversational. Although she said the inside bar was walk up service only, there was more than one time when she was kind enough to bring our drinks to us. Never pushy, the atmosphere is a little dark, a little dive, and a lot of chill. Bonus — they offer food too, and the polenta fries are more than worth going back for. Will be here again for sure.

This little bar is part of La Cocina, up a few steps. It’s very cute and is an excellent place to go if you are a sophisticated beer drinker, which I am not. My husband said they had all his favorite beers on tap and he is a colossal snob about beer, so it’s probably really a 5-star bar, but I personally found it intimidatingly loud inside and I didn’t like the food I ordered, so the 4 stars just reflects me and my rating scale. Come here for fancy beer.

This bar has a beer for everyone. The atmosphere in the bar is mellow in the evenings. The bar staff were very good as well, always happy to help you choose a beer, even during the very busy times. The outdoor patio is beautiful and feels like a hidden oasis. Prices are what you would expect for a wide range of beers. In a perfect world it would be nice if they were a little less spendy.

Incredible beer selection! No other place in Tucson you can get such fantastic belgian and german imports ONDRAFT! They are always changing up their selection and I have always been blown away by at least one of their currently on tap beers. The bartender/owner is more than happy to let you try samples before you order a full size treat.

Most amazing refreshing new bar in this tucked away hacienda. So Tucson and old Mexico wrapped in a nice lil tortilla. Love it and will always go here. The owner is super rad and Parker the bartender is 2 legit to quit… Knows his whiskey, bourbons, scotch, rye… You can tell he loves his Trabajo

This is a great addition to the La Cocina/Old Towne Artisans complex. Love the atmosphere — West Texas meets Tucson. Great service, delicious food from the La Cocina kitchen.

The Dusty Monk is an European style pub downtown Tucson. It is located in the same courtyard as La Cocina. You can also enter it directly from the street. They have an amazing selection of beer. I first visited during the World Cup, before they were officially open, their soft opening. I remember I had a Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse. They had it on draft, it is one of my all-time favorite beers. They have now rotated their taps. This last visit I had two beers, both draft. I started with a Palm Ale and then had a lighter Estrella Damm. Both of the beers were served in their specialty glasses. These were both new beers for me and I loved them. There is a sign outside the front door that advertises beer from $ 2.00 — $ 24.00. I love the range. The Dusty Monk also specializes in Whisky. They have a multi-page menu and offer delicious sounding Whisky cocktails. We really enjoyed Don the bartender, and I believe also the owner. He is a great conversationalist and good company. This pub is open Tuesday through Saturday. They open at 4pm. I will be back soon and I will bring friends. The Dusty Monk is one of my favorite places in Tucson. I really enjoy it.

A great quaint place with awesome beers(Belgians and Germans etc) and a great selection of Bourbons, Whiskeys and other selections! Try the Rebel Yell and ask the bartender about it’s Rock n’ Roll back stories! It’s also got some nice bites to eat as well!
