Found a new home for myself and my son to get our hair cut at!
The real difference is Rick and his team want EVERY person who get their hair done here to leave happy and proud of the style they get. It is real SERVICE that separates them from everyone else! They talk to you, they LISTEN to what you say and provide suggestions and experiences to help make your styling decision be the most informed and best decision you can make.
The detail and precision provided by Rick to both myself and my son, helped us understand what would work with our hair (different cowlicks), and not fight the natural flow, but to embrace it instead.
I would recommend anyone looking to get a real hair style (not just a cut) to stop in and experience this throw back in time to when SERVICE, QUALITY and LAUGHTER ruled the salons and barber shops of yesteryear.

Holy crap! Extremely pleased all around with the experience. Went in with a disaster haircut that I already had corrected the day before and still looked awful. Despite him being minutes from closing time and already cleaning up he still took me in. Taught me a lot about my hair and that I never know before. Got a prohibition type cut and looks excellent. I think he took the pill from limitless and mastered the art of hair. He really takes his time, is highly detailed oriented and passionate about his job. Would highly recommend!

What a refreshing way to get your hair cut, they way you want it!
Rich did a great job and actually listened to me when I mentioned the way I wanted my hair cut. He spent time listening and didn’t start cutting until we talked out what was going to happen and how my cowlicks mess with my style. He was attentive and helpful.
I was recommended by a friend and would recommend others, too.

This place is amazing !!! I went there haven’t never been. Jen did my hair. I didn’t expect them to be able to do much with my hair considering was soaked in black box dye. But Jen worked her magic and my hair was exactly what I wanted ! She also was able to give me a different cut with out take inches off. I will definitely be retuning to this place for touch ups. I love it ! Not to mention the shop is so cute !

Retro Hair is wonderful. Everything a hair place should be. Clean, friendly and totally competent. While I was in the chair, 3 guys received great looking cuts. Jenn listened, questioned and then came up with the perfect cut/​style for me. This is clearly a family shop and that makes it a warm and welcoming place with fantastic prices. So this is the 2nd time I have been there. Love this place. Jenn did my hair and it turned out so cute. Love the colors of the highlights will for sure be going back. They are so friendly and take care of you. Looking for a new place I would recommend Retro Hair Studio.

I usually get my hair cut by my friends wife but I stopped in here last month just to get a trim and it was good to see Richey from another barbershop I went to for years. I stopped back in today they really took care of me! It was a family afair from start to finish. I you just need a «light dusting» or a full on transformation check out Retro!

Ask for rich. He’s legit and cuts exactly what you want. Quality haircut at a fair price. Skip the fancy places and get to know rich. He’ll be your barber for a long time. Plus he’s got sweet ass cars out front.

My husband and I have been getting our hair cut a and colored by Rich and Jenn for a few years now. She knows just how to cut and color it. My hair always used to end up pulling green or getting fried, and when i asked for long layers my hair would end up looking square (weird, I know). I now live in Mesa but will not let anyone but Jenn touch my hair. My husband always seemed to end up with a square head after cut (because of his double cowlick) and Rich made his head actually look like a head. lol. I would recommend them to anyone. Plus they always make me feel like family :)

By far the best place to get your hair done! Truly fantastic people, great atmosphere, and very well priced. They leave you feeling so clean and refreshed. I absolutely recommend them and will definitely be returning.
