Service stinks. Called about a $ 40 part five mins before closing — which is 8pm and not 9pm fyi — then they had locked the door on me at 8:03. Really guys? Hey, good luck this Christmas.

So odd that an electronics store didn’t have mini DVD R disks and I had to trek to Office Depot to get what I needed. The customer service was pretty good though.

Why is Radio Shack still around? Who knows. It’s certainly not because of knowledgeable staff. It’s because it’s really the only place to go when you need an obscure audio connection made. My last(hopefully) visit was in search of a 3⁄8 to ¼ audio cord. The salesyouth hung around long enough to tell me they didn’t make such a cord. Upon placing the cord on the counter, the youth rang it up, and said it wouldn’t work for my needs. Welp.audio device plays through studio interface just fine.

Yeah, I know it’s a chain. Still, a big shout out to this Radio Shack and most Radio Shacks where I have shopped. I find they have great customer service and often carry some obscure items that you really can’t find any other place without ordering it online(and sometimes you are in a hurry). The other day I popped into this store hauling a humongous video camera. I started the conversation with«I don’t mean to be weird…» The young guy helping me was very nice and patient while I trouble shot the audio problem with my camera. In the end, it was a dead battery, but the guy didn’t make me feel stupid and they switched out the other parts I thought were faulty(and weren’t) just to ease my nerves. I really don’t know any other place in town where I could have done this. Awesome service, Radio Shack!
