Pearson’s Pub

Favorite bar to hang in Tucson! All the bartenders are friendly and the place is such a low-​attitude environment. They serve excellent bar food. My favs are the habanero hot wings (gluten free), but great mazz sticks and fries. Free popcorn, also. They have a couple pool tables, darts and some great dj’s on some nights. Also, Jaime the DJ does great karaōke on certain nights. He has an excellent sound system with an Internet list of songs so there’s tons of options. Lots of parking in the back, too!

If you wanna go out and be somewhere that isn’t going to kick your ass with posh uptight people then go to Pearson’s Pub. Great specials all the time, amazing food, and super awesome bartenders that really have fun. Super ample parking in the back makes this place really nice as well. Plus, bring your drinks out back on their patio just to escape the bar once in awhile.
Seriously great people. Doesn’t matter what kind of person you are you will fit in there.

Pearson’s Irish Pub– it’s tan!
It’s got some good taps– Dogfish Head, Kiltlifter, Odell’s. And free popcorn.
But did I say it’s tan?
Seriously. Tan. And drunken Irish wood-​paneled. And bright. Too bright for this day drinker to hide. Too bright to hide the fruit fly buzzing my Kiltlifter and shot of Jim.
Not that I care about the fruit fly– Drosophila Melanogaster.
But I do.
So let me Claven this Unilocal up.
I had the opportunity to grow and study that pesky fly in eighth grade biology. We got to gas ‘em with ether, study them under the microscope and breed them for specific traits. It was a blast. Genetics and lab grads owe a lot to that little red eyed beast.
A 2012 New York Times article says that when male fruit flies are repeatedly turned down (sexually) by female fruit flies, they turn to sweet booze to kill the pain of sexual rejection.
Aw skeet skeet mother f**ker.

So why would I begrudge this sexually repressed tragically unlovable fly a nip of my draft and shot?
Probably because I’m a sadist, and Pearson’s didn’t put me in the mood.
I’m sure Pearson’s is a good time for some. The bartender was cool, the draft cold and the price reasonable.
Me? Eh. Not so much.

I love this place! The bartenders are always fun, and they have really good drink specials daily/​nightly. I usually see the bartenders Jamie and Ryan on their Wednesday karaōke nights, and it’s always a great time. I always look forward to seeing them! Thank you for making Pearson’s a kickass place to hang out! :)

I always have fun at Pearson’s Pub! Amazing specials! $ 1 PBR and Rolling Rock cans during happy hour! $ 1.50 any other time. Wed night is $ 3 you-​call-​its. Thursday is buy any drink get another for $ 1 more. Both specials run from 9:00pm-close and exclude only pitchers. Karaōke Friday nights at 9:00pm.
