Delectable phở! Got the beef phở; had a rich and bold flavored broth. The only downsides were the wait(tho it was worth it!) and the décor could use some sprucing up.

This place is usually pretty packed with people. We had to wait about 20 minutes each time we went. And it doesn’t surprise me, the phở is really excellent with fresh meat and lots of flavor and spices. I get the phở with tender beef and add a lot of sriracha, cilantro, and bean sprouts. I also tried the shrimp spring rolls which are so crispy and good. The vermicelli is also out of this world. Located right across Campbell from the U of A, it’s no surprise that this place is so popular. The service is very fast and friendly. They really take care of you here.

The one is Marana is a world better. Satisfying, but in my opinon(and I frequently eat Vietnamese) its expensive for the quality.

It;s rather expensive for what you get. It has a stand alone taste. The lunch menu offered some choices but no real discounts. The best part of my meal was the egg roll and sauce. The mixed vegies with chicken lacked any strong flavor. The waiter was wayyyyyyyyyy too fast. Off day or ??? He screwed up several times. The Thai boba was okay, tasted like it came premixed. Oh well.

I have eaten 3 times at Miss Saigon, and each time liked the quality of the food and the creativity of the cuisine. Having lived in China, I am fully tuned to Asian cuisine and although Miss Saigon does NOT serve Chinese cuisine(their«chicken lo mein» is not Shanghaï-style) it’s a take on the same roots. I liked the diversity of flavors, and the food was always fresh(no stomach ache!). I recommend.

3 ½ stars. Frankly I am here a lot. So 4 stars is easy. Food is consistent. I have tried many items on the menu. However I usually end up back to the spring rolls(#2), phở soups(#23 and #26) with meatballs and cooked beef and or rare beef, or a bun(#45) pork slices. I enjoy this ice tea. Nice jasmine type and their taro root slush with boba. Major complaint is that only 50% of the time there is basil. Very frustrating. Often think I should bring my own!

Good little place. I was told I would have to wait ten minutes but then we got seats twenty seconds after. They have good vegetarian options but some of the ones I wanted were made with chicken broth, so I didn’t know how that worked out… But oh well. The phở broth was really different from my usual phở place — it was a little bit more… deep you could say I guess? And then there was fish sauce available so YAYFORTHAT! Oh you had to pay to get extra stomachs and hoisin with your take-out, though. Overall, this was a good experience.

Ok, but not the best and I’ve eaten a lot of Vietnamese food. I sometimes have a hard time deciding if I like it better or Korean. Most of the time it’s a toss-up. So, I was really looking forward to a Vietnamese place with 4 stars. First, it took more time than it should have to take our order and we had to ask for straws twice. The table next to us got their order in before we did and we were seated several minutes before they were. When the waiter arrived to take our order, we started with the spring rolls with peanut sauce, one of our favorite things when it’s good. After the rolls arrived we started right in. The rolls were served cut in two pieces. I picked one up and dipped it in the peanut sauce and took a bite. First, the peanut sauce tasted like it was diluted with some kind of brown gravy, yeah weird, so the taste wasn’t even close to what the sauce usually tasted like. The spring roll tasted OK, but just OK. My wife and I agreed we’ve had much better rolls and the sauce really wasn’t very good. Already two strikes, slow service and just so so spring rolls. I ordered #30 which is a combo soup with rice noodles. I like the taste of multiple meats and fish, so there were several shrimp and various other meats but the crab meat is the fake stuff. It’s ok, but it pales aside the real stuff. My wife ordered a vegetarian dish, not my favorite thing to eat, but she really like meatless meals. When our meals arrived I tasted mine and was surprised that it was so bland. My meal did arrive in two bowls and I noticed that there was a very, very strong fish smell from my bowl of goodies. Usually if fish is fresh there is no smell coming from fish like that. I dumped the hot soup water into the large bowl and stirred. Like I said, bland. I squirted in some brown sauce and some hot sauce, stirred and it tasted better. My wife pretty much had the same experience except she didn’t have the fishy smell… bland. She followed my lead with the brown sauce(it was on the table and I don’t know it’s name). Anyway, bottom line… the food is OK, but giving out 4 or 5 stars? Not on any day I can remember when I bring my taste buds. This place serves average food and has average service. I doubt we will be back to try again as what we ordered should really be a representative sample of the quality of food served… or lack of quality with the fake crab meat… what the hell is up with that? Other than making cheap food and charging average prices for it. We were disappointed, sadly.

I was surprised when I went to Miss Saigon on a Thursday night and it was PACKED! I shouldn’t be too surprised though because the food is delicious. I got the chicken curry and the flavors were perfect. It has the perfect balance of spiciness, coconut, creaminess and sweetness. My other go to is the phở… phở sho. Watch out the jalapenos can be smoking hot. The servers are very efficient and do a great job. I also appreciate the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The portions are good for the prices, and put all of these things together it is the worth the wait. I plan on going back soon.

QUICKQUICKQUICK service, fantastic Phở soup! And the noodles are delicious! I almost feel I am in NYC’s Chinatown with the quality, price(very reasonable) and taste! Every location is fantastic and I can keep raving about it! PS– Also try the summer rolls in rice paper with shrimp! MMMM

I enjoy the broth from Miss Saigon by far better than the other Vietnamese restaurants here in Tucson. It’s alway consistent and not salty or filled with MSG like other places. Despite health violation problems the owners have had in the past, I come here often to get my phở fix. It is conveniently located in the center of town and there is always parking available in the back. The wonton egg noodle isn’t the same as what you find in «Hong Kong» Chinese style wonton noodle soup. Miss Saigon’s wonton pork filling is very tiny; there are traces of minced shrimp but it’s hard to taste it. Go here for the broth and fresh side vegetable garnishes. There are two sizes of soup bowls and the bigger size can satisfy a hungrier appetite.

Their phở is delicious. I like going here on rainy days. Nothing like a warm bowl of phở. Their boba teas are good too

This is a great bourgeois dinner! Super quick service, tasty fresh food, and very reasonable prices. I’ve ordered maybe three things and tasted another half dozen; NOTHINGHASBEENLESSTHANSUPERTASTY. If you can handle spicy, this is the place to order your dish EXTRASPICY!!! Every single thing on the menu is made from scratch by people who enjoy eating their own food. If the prices were a little cheaper OR the place was a bit classier, it’d totally be five stars. It’s definitely five stars if you plan on drinking water, but beverages are a bit overpriced IMO. I’ve mostly been in for non-alcoholic meals, but have had a beer on a few different occasions. I mostly stick with water now and pre– or post-game it(as this is definitely a pitstop on an evening involving porch beers or kickball drinking… like I said, un-classy in a wonderful way). Definitely a great fall-back lunch or dinner joint, if you’re into Asian and don’t feel like getting dressed up. SPECIALNOTE: Each location is a different level of classy. This one is the least classy and is my favorite, and I’ve been to all three.

First, I should disclose I generally don’t like Vietnamese food. They often use a seasoning(not sure what it is, but it seems to be in EVERYTHING) that I just don’t like. But the girls wanted to eat here, and I figured I could find something. First, their system is weird. When you show up you get a number. Mind you, you haven’t ordered anything yet. It’s a number to let you sit down. Once you sit down then you get menus and can select your food. So the ladies ordered some noodles and other things. I spotted a beef dish that looked interesting and that’s what I got. It was«#60». It came out with rice and a cake-like thing. To my surprise, it was pretty good. The meat was flavorful, the rice was fine, and that cake thing was not bad. I did not taste that seasoning I don’t like at all! Can’t quite say I’m a fan, but it was a solid meal. When I went to school here there was no such place nearby. Good food at reasonable prices is probably why this place is busy all the time. One bummer others have mentioned is the flies. So it’s not just me! I don’t know what it is, but there are a lot of flies here. It’s weird. Not swarms of them, but several flying around.

«When in Tucson, do what the Tucsonians do.» That’s what came to mind when I decided to have lunch at Miss Saigon — a spot beloved by both locals and out-of-town U of A students alike. It’s definitely popular. Even on an unseasonably gloomy day, the line was out the door. Luckily, the tables turn over fast. There isn’t much ambiance, and the students need to get to class — so nobody lingers. To start, I had a plate of cha gio(pork egg rolls). The rolls themselves were crispy and very flavorful — not greasy at all — but tiny. They paired nicely with the fish sauce for dipping. This app comes with half a head of lettuce and lots of rice noodles, which I wasn’t sure what to do with. I made myself some little lettuce wraps and dipped them in the sauce, which worked out nicely. The real highlight of the meal was the rare beef phở(phở tai). I ordered a small-size portion but it was still massive. Toss in lots of bean sprouts, lime, cilantro, and Sriracha and I’m a very happy guy. In summary: Miss Saigon is cheap, quick, and tasty. No wonder the U of A students like it so much.

A friend introduced us to Miss Saigon early this year, and it has turned into a Sunday tradition for my wife and me. We love to call-in and pick-up, then enjoy at home catching up on whatever we are watching. We are huge fans of the Phở(22 and 25 is our standard order) and vegetable spring rolls. The various other noodle dishes and appetizers are delicious as well. Miss Saigon earns 5 stars because the food is always ready in 10 minutes, the servings are generous, and the Phở is always hot when we get home. The people at the restaurant are always friendly and helpful to boot.

This was one of the first restaurants I stumbled upon in Tucson and oh man, what a find. I am by no means an expert on Vietnamese food but I do know when something tastes good. I have tried several phở places around the states and this is definitely one of my favorites. Although there are many things that make a good vietnamese restaurant, a key factor is the quality of their broth. And their phở broth is pretty close to perfect —warm umami flavor, some sweet notes, and very aromatic. The noodles also have the right bite and the veggies/herbs are fresh. No mushy noodles here. And what better to pair with your warm bowl of phở than with a side of snow bubble tea. My go to is the blended coconut snow with coconut jelly. Mmmm. This is my go to restaurant in Tucson and there is so much left on the menu I need to try. Cons? Sometimes the wait is a little long but I guess it’s a good sign when the tables are packed. And the food comes out pretty quickly.

My fiancé and i were craving vietnamese food and this is where Unilocal suggested. It was pretty busy, we had to wait for about 10 minutes before being seated. I ordered the wonton noodles while my fiancé ordered the bun bo hue(spicy noodles). The wonton broth was flavorful, not too oily. Definitely satisfied my vietnamese craving. Prices were standard for vietnamese food. Service was good. we both plan on coming back to get our vietnamese fix.

4 stars for service/location 3 for food/atmosphere The food wasn’t the best I’ve had but I was hungry and they got my to-go order done quick. Vermicelli with chicken and coconut curry-chicken was kind of dry and had a kind of different flavor that maybe I’m just not used to. I wouldn’t order it again. The spring rolls(sans pork) were better, peanut sauce was kind of watered down from what I’m used to but had a great flavor.
