Had a very bad experience with this food truck this weekend at the Hop Shop opening. Apparently(what I assume to be the owner of the food truck) feels he is entitled to take up 3 parking spots for himself in what is a very small parking area for a very new brew shop. Upon entering the spot we were rudely told we could not park in the spot although the spot was not reserved in anyway. The owner announced he was invited and therefore should be entitled to extra parking spots? I too was invited to the Hop Shop and therefore was also a paying customer for the new brew shop. Upon having beers and leaving it was noted that the owner had blocked my car in with some sort of a metal gate. I have a picture of this. The owner announced he would move the gate for us, how nice? When my friend who was also in my car thanked him for removing the gate, that we didn’t put there, he remarked back«Thank you my Ass»! Then proceeded to call us F*ckers. Nice customer service. I would strongly suggest not supporting a food truck that does not seem to know what customer service is about. Also we will be talking with Hop Shop about how the food truck treated us and hoping they will not have return.

This Saturday, 10/3, my friends and I went to the newly opened Hop Shop. There were 5 of us in one car and as we pulled in for the Hop Shop, we pulled in right next to the food truck. As we are getting out the owner said, «You need to find another spot.» We asked why. He said that he needed the spot for his truck that was towing the food truck(which had already claimed its own parking spot). We told him that we would only be 30 min cause we were on our way to a party, so we knew we had to leave at a specific time. He told us that he was invited by the owner. My friends, two who had been there the grand opening night and one who works for a local beer distribution group, were all also personally invited by the owner. We told him this. He said that it is his spot and that we can park on the street(the parking lot was full). We just left at that point and went inside Hop Shop. One of our group did buy a cup of meatballs and shared with the rest of us, it was ok. Very bland, like there was so seasoning in the sauce or meatballs. If it weren’t for the sauce the meatballs would actually be too dry. 30 min later we leave and behind my friend’s car is a very heavy metal but portable hate right behind the car! He sees us and says, «I’ll move it for you, you’re welcome.» As he and his co-worker are moving the gate, we are getting in the car, one friend does thank him for moving the gate, he says, «Thanks my a**. You f***kers.» We were shocked! Later after the party we come back to Hop Shop and we see that he had actually taken 3 parking spots. One for the food truck, one for the truck that pulls the food truck, and one that he blocks off with the gate so that there is an empty space just in front of the window of his truck. We stayed at the Hop Shop until 12 and by then the truck was gone but the heavy metal gate he used to block the parking spot just for his truck, was still there(pic is posted). I thought the courteous thing to do would to move the gate back onto the sidewalk. That thing was HEAVY! I do tough mudder, crossfit, and Ragnar. I’m not weak. That thing was heavy and I couldn’t move it by myself at all. It was extremely rude of him to leave it there. Wouldn’t it make more sense to park the food truck facing towards the sidewalk instead of towards the parking spot? That way he doesn’t need to take up an extra parking spot? I will never have anything good to say about this place, his nasty behavior would not be worth 5 star meatballs and those were 2.5 at best.
