Sitting here waiting for my family to finish eating. Kid 1 had the nachos with asada… she gave it 5 stars. Kid 2 had a bean a cheese burrito, yes I know what you’re thinking why not shrimp. She enjoyed it. Kid 3 had the kids shrimp, shrimp is fresh not those frozen shrimp in a package, in a 6 years olds words, thumbs up mom. I had the maleficio cocktail, it’s all seafood and well worth the 18.99. I couldn’t finish it l, that’s how much seafood is in it.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out because they don’t just make seafood, they also offer meats and chicken. I got the shredded beef burrito, enchilada style, and I was not happy about it. I didn’t like it at all. I also got rice, and that was not to my likings. My son got a simple cheese quesadilla, and that was decent. It came with fries. Those fries were not that good either. I ordered Lemonade and that delicious!!! I’m sure if I go and try something else, like chicken, it will be better. The service was pleasant. The waiter was accommodating and nice. The service was just fine, that is why I rated a 3 and not a 2. It is a clean nice Mexican authentic restaurant with big TVs to watch sporting events.

Our new Sunday spot! Music & the hostess delightful! The food was brought right out. The micheladas are pretty darn good. We will be back.

The seafood was fresh and extremely flavorful. We had the cerviche del patron and that was a highlight of the meal until the tacos we ordered simply to taste them arrived. Don’t get me wrong the whole red snapper with garlic sauce was the bomb but it’s a mariscos place so I didn’t think the shredded beef tacos were going to be a gift from the food gods themselves… Try it you won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed.

A bit of confusion to start with. They brought the wrong seafood appetizer. The one with scallops instead of crab legs but they very graciously and quickly exchanged it. The crab was not overcooked like most seafood restaurants. The octopus was the right texture. Two kinds of shrimp — heads on and heads off. All fresh probably from Rocky Point Mexico. I’ll return with companions so we can order more things and share.

I went today for a birthday lunch with some friends and we loved this place. The service was great and the food was awesome. Everything came out promptly. Our server looked to be the owner possibly? He was very nice. Definitely will be coming back.

Okay, so I order a take home order. I ordered two shirmp cocktails(large), camarones mojo de ajo(shirmp in garlic sauce), corn tortillas and a dozen raw oysters. Total, $ 65 and change… I was floored, I felt it was a bit to pricey for what I had ordered… but I said to myself, «it’s sea food». I got home and upon opening my mojo de ajo plate, I saw that there were only 7 pieces of small shrimp… SEVEN!!! Of course, the tortillas were missing. I then opened my «dozen» oysters, and it was half and order, six oysters… I paid for the dozen, $ 6 dollars extra. I was disappointed!!! The place was not busy, for a Friday during lent, and they still got my order wrong. $ 65.00 was NOTWORTHIT!!! The staff that attended me was courteous and from what I saw inside the facilities, it was clean and well kept. The food I did eat, was good but again, not worth the $ 65.00. I’ll probably not go again, not because of the food but because of the price. I do expect to pay a little more for sea food but for the amount of food that were on my plates, it was not good.

I’m taking the heat from my wife and best friends for my choice of this restaurant last Wednesday evening. My friends say they will never trust Unilocal reviews and I am the one to introduce Unilocal to them. An average of 4 stars but only 27 reviews should have tempered my choice. Interestingly the other three ordered non seafood dishes, but did order very traditional Mexican dishes; Carne Asada burros, chimichanga style. None of the 3 ate even half their dish and my friends took home their leftovers for their 2 big dogs. I tasted a bite of my wife’s and thought it was terribleI I ordered a breaded fish filet with garlic sauce. The filet was extremely thin but still mushy, perhaps undercooked. A salad that came with it on the plate had a skimpy amount of ranch dressing. The lettuce and cucumber slices were however fresh and crisp. The service was decent but the restaurant could have benefited from a good cleaning. Little to no flavor and poor handling of the fish preparation results in us never returning and even worse, my reputation as well as that of Unilocal, ruined in these people’s mind, ugh:(

My boyfriend stopped here for a take out red chile beef craving(I know– odd) … Well I had one of the very best red chile burros I’ve had in Years with a beautiful side salad and great presentation — yes, in a take-out. The owners were willing to accommodate this odd special order… Now I can’t wait to get in here and try one of their specialties! They sure have the classics down… Thank you!

Went there a few days ago. 2 out of the 4 of my party had food poisoning type symptoms. She had the ceviche tostada and I had the chicken nachos. I’ve heard so many great things about this place, but was very disappointed.

I consider myself a little bit of a «foodie». If you like Mexican food and you’re in Tucson you have got to stop here. The Carne Asada Package was amazing and the Mitchelada may have been the best that I have ever had. I almost did not go in because there was no cars in the parking lot… I am so glad I did go in.

Kinda rough neighborhood. Don’t let it deter you. Portions are enormous. Food is quite simply delicious. Guacamole was the best I’ve ever had. Not much English but smiles and extremely friendly. Worth the visit.

There was a large variety of seafood and you get so much food. The only critique I would really give is that a lot of their stuff seemed to be fried. Other than that, they make a mean margarita and the service was great.

Excellent food! I ordered the Carne Asada and it was so tender. The rice and beans were so flavorful plus you get a green chile stuffed with cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo all on one plate. It was so good! My husband and daughter shared the seafood platter for 2 and they loved every bit of it. Will definitely be coming back.

This place is ridiculously good. The beers come in salted frosty mugs. The portions are huge and the seafood is fresh. I will be back whenever I am in Tucson.

They have very good Mexican seafood. The fish was fresh and cooked just right. I had the breaded fish. It came with rice and a salad. The shrimp was also very good-peel it yourself. I was with a group of 12 people and everyone there really liked their food. The understanding of English is not great and though I pointed to the menu, said«pescado» I still was brought shrimp but they corrected the order. I could vicariously appreciate many of the other dishes as they all looked good. Portions were generous. They have several different beers and no wine choice was indicated but you can get a pina colado or margarita. The margarita was kinda watery. Service was pretty good given the size of our group. Each separate order when in after taken and meals came you in bunches but not far apart. Will definitely go back to tray more dishes.
