LO4 is as real as it gets! Having worked in the service industry while in college, my expectations are generally higher than most. At LO4, not only are my expectations met, but these guys take it to another level and I must say, that is why I’ve become a regular. Great food, great beer, all at great prices. The ambience is very chill and inviting and the cooks definitely know what they’re doing back there, Matt especially. Really chill dude. Last bust not certainly not least, three of the best servers in Tucson represent this place to the fullest! Maggie, Teddi, and Safari are three of the coolest girls in the city and I guarantee that they will make your LO4 experience like no other in town. I won’t even try to recommend a menu item because it’s all good… GETSOMELO4INYOURMOUTH!

I appreciated all the options. Very unique burgers and plenty of choices for whatever you happen to be in the mood for. I got the Kush and substituted the blue cheese crumbles for cheddar, and it was tasty. The burgers are large(one patty was more than enough for me, so I’d only recommend two if you are really hungry) and the side orders of fries are generously portioned. I wish they had beer on tap; that would really take it to the next level.

Amazing burgers with extreme non p.c. names! A friend and I were hungry so we both ordered a double whatever. In addition we ordered the loaded tator tits. WAYYY too much food. Finished the burger and left feeling guilty about the abandoned cheesy potato goodness. I’ll be back this month and only get a single sexual position burger and give the tits another go. Warning: I went at noon on a Sunday and got the last table so be prepared to wait possibly… but it’s definitely worth it.

My burger was kind of cold, people weren’t very nice, I didn’t really like the sauce and I got my DEBITCARDINFORMATIONSTOLEN. I know it was stolen here because it was the only place in Tucson I have ever used it and I hadn’t used it for weeks before AND after I visited. Altogether it was just a terrible experience and I will never be going back. Watch your card statements after visiting.

Lindy’s on 4th is a small burger joint that serves a variety of zany themed burgers with customizable side options. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My friend ordered the Shroomin Cow burger with a side of chili cheese tots, and I got the Dirty Sanchez burger with a side of onion rings. My burger was a little under seasoned, but the chiles and the jalapeños set a nice underlying spice. The guac, intentionally or not, was fairly tart, but I didn’t mind(perhaps there was some lime juice). This burger isn’t anything new, even if the name is unique; the flavor shave been proven time and again to work well together. Where Lindy’s falls short in my mind with its sides. My onion rings were very obviously purchased frozen rings that were fried up(very cakey batter), and my friends’ tots were the same. He also said that the chili was very obviously the common canned chili product. These sides weren’t inedible, but I think they prevent them from being something truly great. Overall not bad.

What a great experience! We were passing through on our way to pick up vintage trailer and we were driving an all nighter. We almost went to Phoenix but decided to get to Tucson… and I am soooooo glad we waited. Great service… our waitress Safari helped us find the perfect burger, The Kush! It was phenomenal… Seriously phenomenal. The burger was perfectly cooked and the flavor… OMG. It has raspberry preserves! Then Safari recommended a beer for both of us and we are pretty picky. New Belgium in a tangerine ipa and black lager 1554. What $ 3! Heck yes, we are going to make sure to drive back through Tucson just to revisit! Thanks for another GREAT Unilocal experience!

I’m happily giving Lindy’s 5 stars again! We didn’t feel like cooking with the huge Easter dinner that was looming over our heads, so we got carryout from Lindy’s. Every burger was cooked to perfection! We all ordered medium well and there was the perfect amount of pink. The lettuce, onions and tomatoes were fresh and delicious. I’m sorry that we waited so long to try Lindy’s again.

This place is soo overrated. We’ve lived in Tucson for over a year and finally made a stop here based on all the recommendations. This place is just boring and I witness an employee be straight out rude to some teenager who obviously had a metal disability. You should feel real good about yourself buddy. Anyway back to the food. It was just ok, it’s all about the different toppings that you can get with your burger. The meat itself is so bland so you need all the toppings to even enjoy your food. I had to order something different after being so displeased with my burger. Maybe it’s because I’m from California and I’m used to real gourmet and tasty food. I honestly believe you’re better off hitting up a jack in the box rather than this place.

We love a good burger and have heard very good things about Lindy’s, so we decided to give them a try during the 4th Ave. Halloween event. Unfortunately, they were closed due to issues in the kitchen, so the employee handing out candy to the kids gave us a coupon to return and even gave my daughter some extra candy because she noticed her candy bucket was pretty empty. We returned several weeks later and were not disappointed. The waitstaff was very attentive and nice and the food was outstanding! All four of us got different burgers and I was very glad I didn’t get a double because there was no way I would have finished it. The interior, while on the small side, was artsy and interesting and just what one would expect for 4th Ave. We will definitely be returning because Lindy’s just moved into first place for our favorite burger joint.

Was meeting with a client in Tucson, and after my meeting, I wanted to grab lunch before my next one. Started scrolling through my Unilocal bookmarks and list of usual Tucson haunts when I saw that fellow Phoenix Unilocaler Mark R. had just checked in to Lindy’s on 4th. «Oh wow! That’s the place that was on Man vs. Food!» *rushes off to Unilocal Stalk Mark R. and try some new grub* It’s definitely a smaller restaurant, and I can imagine it getting hella packed before the lunch rush. Must have made it just in time because it was semi empty. Lots of ecclectic décor, easily reflecting the neighborhood — Which is a BLAST, by the way — Felt like I was back home in Colorado! Really wanted to try the Donkey Punch Burger but compromised with the Dirty Sanchez Burger instead(no one wants indigestion in a meeting + long drive, bueno?). Plus it still had everything(green chile, jalapeños, guacamole and pepperjack) on the DPB(sans habañeros) Added bacon to it, and got a small side of the seasoned fries with Ranch and Lindy’s sauce. Let’s just say choosing this one was a good compromise. Plenty of spice in it, quality beef and it was so huge I couldn’t finish it. Wasn’t too impressed with the seasoned fries(seemed generic), the flavor of the Lindy’s sauce, and the Ranch had a funky, preservative-esque taste to it. Maybe I’ll venture into other sides on my next trip in. Service was very friendly, the lady who served me was very attentive and conversational with me and other guests without hovering. Of COURSE I’ll be back, because I’m a slut for a tasty burger. Well done Lindy’s! Also, Mark R., thanks for letting me Unilocal Stalk you and your amazing wife. :D

There is a reason this place got rated«best burger on the west coast!» It’s a casual, laid back, no frills, rocker burger joint. Burger names that you wouldn’t want to look up on Urban Dictionary, THICK burger patties and generous helpings of toppings and fries. Not to mention the sheer variety of toppings available! Have you ever wanted to try Mac and Cheese on a BBQ bacon cheeseburger? You can here! How about a burger with cinnamon rolls as buns and a fried egg on top? Anything you can imagine, Lindy and his cooks will make for you! The servers are very kind but put forth the«order your sh*t and get out» front but thats all within the personality of the restaurant! Keep an eye out for Lindy, you can’t miss him, and expect to use PLENTY of napkins! Best burger in Arizona!

Ahh the burgers, the burgers! These sandwiches are so delicious, it’s hard to stop coming here, and really who would want to stop. There are burgers for every taste bud out there, the pb&j burger is still on my list to try as I usually go for the more savory options. If it has an egg on top, I am probably going to order it! This is a great little burger joint in 4th and I hope to patronize it for as long as i live in Tucson!

Keep in mind, there are a limited amount of tables… so you may not be able to dine in. The staff is inclined to make you use the take out option which is around 30 minutes. If the waitress says you can dine at a table, you may have to wait 45 minutes for your food to arrive. The meat of the burgers have no flavor but presentation is good. Best regards.

Not terrible but unfortunately all of the great reviews and media accolades created some lofty expectations. I was expecting something along the line of Edzos in Evanston, Il where the meat and fries are ground/cut in house daily. What you get here are frozen pattys topped with tons of toppings hiding what should be the star of the show, the burger. Pattys are frozen as are the fries and the brown gravy is straight outa the can. It’s an old building and you have to walk through the kitchen if you gotta take a squirt. I pay attention and saw the hockey pucks on the griddle and canned shit gravy on the shelves in the back. Cool place, friendly service, creative menu and a Tucson landmark but no way in hell is this place 5 stars in food quality. Sorry :(

A group of friends and I came to Lindys after a few drinks at the Hut. Oh, what a great idea, indeed it was. I ordered the classic cheesesteak with peppers and onions. It was the last one available of the night. I think that was luck in itself. Absolutely delicious! Lots of cheese and the side of fries were also yummy. This place is small but definitely worthwhile. I will be back here with my boyfriend soon enough since he wasn’t in town to experience this with me when we went(darn… I guess I HAVE to go back for another cheesesteak).

This is one of our favorites stops when we are in Tucson. It was featured on Man vs Food and has some of the tastiest burgers ever. Ok maybe I’m just a Burgerholic and can’t resist. Fourth Avenue in Tucson is famous for it’s many restaurants, eclectic stores and people. You can easily walk around and have a great time all up and down the street. Getting a Burger and some O’Rings is the perfect fuel for such an adventure and this is a great place to begin. Usually order the Double Donkey Punch and some Onion Rings. This is one of their spiciest burgers and I like to wear a bandana while taking on the challenge. Green Chiles, Jalapenos and a large amount of chopped Habaneros on this bad boy. There is a warning note on the menu stating«This one really kicks you in the ass!» The food here is very good and the atmosphere inside is fun and playful. There are pictures of Adam Richman taking on his giant burger on the wall and several other goofy and interesting art works as well. The menu has several types of burgers with some having crazy toppings like Peanut Butter and Jelly. They also serve a tasty Cheese Steak with either Provolone or the WHIZ. Definitely recommend checking them out and then walking off some of those delicious calories at the nearby shops and stores. We took a good walk afterwards and still felt like we were in a food coma. Place gets really busy during heavy eating times and there can be a line out the door. Get there early when they open and you should have no trouble enjoying a tasty meal without the hassle of lots of hungry people. OHYEAHBABY! 5STARS

Finally tried some Lindy’s! I haven’t had enough burgers around town yet to claim it as the best but it was very tasty(stay tuned). Found this spot in Tucson and decided to check it out. Definitely an interesting burger joint, because if you don’t order a single, you’re going to do some burger surgery. Which I guess in my opinion, I don’t mind. Walking in, this place isn’t big, a few tables around the front and then the cash register. The place was cozy, and honestly reminded me of a place in Charlotte. Outside, it was like an art district with different bars and antique shops(well what I felt as if they were). Enough talk about ambiance, let’s get to the food. I ordered the Rusty Trombone, but I got the double patty version(see picture). What followed was a series of surgical moves to cut into the burger to be able to eat it. Sure, I could’ve went in on it and would have to had to change my clothes after, like a beast, but sadly I didn’t have a separate set of clothes to be able to change into. So, folding to defeat as far as beasting this mammoth of a burger, I used the knife and fork they provided. Thinking about it now, if that burger was a double, I’m very curious to see a triple. Or maybe even seeing their burger challenge that Adam from Man v. Food finished(O.M.G. Burger). Maybe I could finish that burger on a very hungry day, but for this night, it wasn’t happening. What did I think about the burger? Tasty. Juicy. Everything I strive to look for in a burger. I thought it was well put together, even though I had to tear it down. This was a first burger that I had to really cut into to be able to eat it. It worked. If you’re looking for a place to eat a burger, Lindy’s on 4th is definitely a spot in Tucson. Even if you’re visiting, this place has to be marked in your«go-to» eateries if you’re a burger fan.

Okay, we’d heard the hype and even being from Idaho, my husband REALLY wanted to eat at here! So after hot day touristing around we made it to Lindy’s.(Missed it several times since it’s behind a tree!) Husband had the Double Two-Finger Peekaboo. yes burgers between two grilled cheese sammiches.(Unless you ask, burgers are cooked med-well!) quite impressive to see! I had the Kush(thick schmear of raspberry jam, blue cheese crumbles, bacon & blanketed with a green chili) DELISH! Food came out super fast, staff was friendly. Bathrooms were awful(really, just«go» anywhere else before!!) But, that’s not what rating so… food was really good, definitely a hole-in-the-wall kinda place!

Lindy’s is extremely small and you will probably wait 15 minutes for a seat BUT it is completely worth it. I had the Blue Suede Burger and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh and the bacon was to die for. Clean place and nice waitstaff. If you are impatient or claustrophobic, go somewhere else.

Alright so friend came back from deployment and was craving lindys… So we came back. Same amount of people but not on a weekend. Actually got a big enough table. Service was good. Food took a while. I got the pepper cheesesteak added teriyaki and it was absolutely amazing. Hubs got the California burrito burger tripled, wouldn’t recommend though, ended up being too much meat and not enough other stuff to even it out. But it was still good.

There is almost no seating here. But its good and that is why! While I come for the veggie burger loaded with the best toppings in the world, I hear the nasty meats are world class. And anywhere you can get guac on a pretty much everything and has tater tots is a good place! It is very, very loud! My daughter hated it because of the noise. The dining room area cant be much more than 200 – 300 sq ft and with 30+ people crammed in and 2 tvs and music. its a bit much. I would love to see them upgrade and get a bigger place/renovate. Oh and the bathroom lock not working?! Whats that about seriously its like 10 $ fix and 15mins just do it already! It was a bit of a wait to get a seat which it normally is. I would recommend getting it to go and hanging out at a near by park or something.

This place is OK as far as burger joints go, but it really didn’t live up to the hype. For a place this popular, with a 30-minute wait when we got here, I have some expectations. I got a Blue Baller(lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, bleu cheese, Lindy’s sauce). Let me deconstruct this burger for you. The bun had a nice taste and texture — it was soft but toasted(good choice). The Lindy’s sauce is basically thousand island dressing. The bleu cheese was solid and the bacon was crispy. So why only three stars? The burger itself was not great. It was overly salty and lacked flavor. My wife had a veggie burger, but it was obviously from a package. For the price, and the wait, this place just wasn’t worth it.

Came here right at 12:45 during lunch rush. Was seated immediately. My beer arrived promptly and it was cold. It’s still a little worn down in here and there’s a few pieces of tile missing, could be swept, dusty, etc. However Lindy does a great job with his food and they take Catcash(huge plus for UA affiliates!). I’ve never ventured outside of the Blue Suede Cow and don’t plan on ordering anything different this time. A single is all I need for lunch(if you really want a food coma, get it on a grilled Honey Bun).

There’s an inevitable consequence of eating at Lindy’s: the food coma. And not the bad kind, either – the food coma where you want to sleep off the grenade that just exploded in your gut(and bank account, for that matter). No, the Lindy’s food coma is the kind that comes with Thanksgiving dinner. To be sure, the amount and quality of food at Lindy’s have been vetted. Yet, the idiosyncrasies are what set this place apart from the rest. From the painting of the ketchup smashing the mustard bottle’s head in with an axe, to the names of the burgers, there’s a playfulness about Lindy’s that makes me want to come back and enjoy the food. I guess, that’s what I enjoy about this place and what other joints are missing – its sense of play. Have you ever observed a child play with a toy and thought to yourself, «wow, I wish I could be as happy with *anything* as that child is with that toy right now?» When I eat Lindy’s, I come pretty damn close to rediscovering that child-like happiness. Don’t eat at Lindy’s because that guy from Man vs. Food ate here. Go to Lindy’s because it’s local, entirely unique, and damn good.

I was meeting a girlfriend for lunch and suggested we go to Lindy’s because I’d been there many times in the past and enjoyed it and she had never been to this Tucson landmark restaurant. The service was fine and the tots(which we got loaded) were really good. The burgers on the other hand were awful. I really hate to say it and I realize that we should have sent the food back and had it re-cooked, but neither of us did… I had the Kush which had green chilies, blue cheese, bacon, and raspberry preserves– the toppings were nice but I –without exaggeration– I could not tell the difference between the burger patty and the bacon. The patty was so super overcooked that it was chewy and impossible to cut with the plastic knife they gave me. I had to ask for a regular knife, and even with that I didn’t finish more than half the burger because it was so well done. My friend only ate half of her burger too and she also agreed that she didn’t enjoy it because it was so well done. I took the burger home and my guy found it in the fridge– took one bite and said, «yuck! This is soooo dry!» Needless to say the burger never got finished… I wouldn’t say that this was my last visit to Lindy’s, but if I were to come again and have the same experience it would be… I think they should ask customers how they would like their burger cooked
