No matter where we are or are traveling to, Crestwood is a frequent topic of conversation. We have even requested, w/out a problem, to purchase ½ baked pies to later cook at a further awAy destination. There is NO substitution for Crestwood. We have yet to find a close second anywhere else in Westchester County.

I recommend eating pizza here if you’re in Crestwood. I had a Sicilian slice and it came quick. The slice was delicious and would recommend anyone who is near by to eat here!

John and the crew do a great job. Been a customer since they opened and food has always been of consistently high quality.

The pizza is a 7.5÷10 at best and it’s not worth the attitude of whoever is working the counter. I’m assuming the owner wasn’t around and left these fools to hold down the shop.

Been thinking about Crestwood Pizzeria and the review I should write. Was the pizza decent, YES. Was it great, NO. Was the salad good, YES. I guess if this was my go to pizzeria I would give it an extra star, but the one hour delivery time is hard to swallow. We ordered some thin crust New York style pizza with sausage, parmesan and mozzarella cheese, marinara. While it was a decent pie it took an hour to deliver and cold. Not ice cold, but cold when you leave leftover pizza in a box for an hour cold. Not use to long delivery times, but this is the burbs. I had the feeling delivery guy did not have thermal delivery bags like they do in the city. Hard to rate the pizza since it was cold. Thin crust. Ratio of ingredients was light. Could have a little more of everything. It was tasty, but then again was starving from drinking beers. Salad was decent, but very standard ingredients. I guess it was good and came with bread, but nothing out of this world good. They take Credit Cards. Overall, we ordered from Crestwood Pizzeria because we where at Broken Bow Brewery. GPS told me it was less than a mile. I know Saturdays are busy delivery days, but with all the tools available to provide hot food. You know the rest; get it, utilize it. If take out is a good portion of your business, then try to make it better. Next time I will just pick it up myself and save a five buck tip. Comm’on guys…

I’m giving it an extra star for the really nice service! Will start with the bad. the $ 15 chicken parm to go. Chicken completely overcooked, pretty tasteless and not at all tender. Sauce had good flavor but was watery– perhaps from the overdone spaghetti on the side. Portion was incredibly small for the price. Real let down. Now on to the regular slice– loved the crust — had flavor, perfect texture of old NY style crust– folded perfectly and not too crisp – more on the soft side. This looked like the real old NY style slice I was hoping for. Oil was dripping off the slice like crazy– much too much oil used. Cheese was good. Sauce was pretty good but there was so little of it. Much more sauce, a bit more flavor and ¼ of the amount of oil and this could be close to a 5 star slice. I liked the place and the people. and the crust. So I’ll give it another try– for the Sicilian!

Everything is always really delicious. They should really open a regular restaurant because their dishes blow all of the Italian food in in the area off the map. There is always a line out the door with good reason. Commuters from the train can’t wait to grab food from this place. I think I have tried every pasta and chicken dish they have.

Ordered for pick up a couple times so far, very happy with the food. Mesclun salad is great, parm wedges are huge, pizza was solid. Staff is friendly and quick. Bring a quarter for the meter if you are picking up before 7.

The owner is nice and courteous, but he’s not there much anymore. The younger staff are a bunch of disrespectful punks. Including a manager that can barely talk. They act like they are doing you a favor when you order from them and they always just hangup on you abruptly when they take your order. Just sick of the attitudes. The owner needs to train these obnoxious workers.

Pizza was excellent! Perfect crust, ruby red sauce and nice amount of oozing mozzarella cheese, John, the owner is very respectful to his customers and staff. Knows his customers by name and you can tell he cares. Ordered Eggplant parm, chicken parm a nd grilled chicken salad and all were excellent. You can tell excellent ingredients are used. I wish them continued success. Will report back on future visits.

We’ve lived in the area for 54 years and I think this place has been a pizzeria for at least 30 of those years. It’s always been a great place for pizza and whenever family comes to New York to visit us, a call is made to Crestwood Pizza for dinner. Now that nieces and nephews are grown and married, they still come to NY to visit with their kids and the call goes in to Crestwood Pizza. Ya’ can’t say much more than that!

UPDATE: I ordered a large pie for pick-up, and it was NOT representative of what I was accustomed to w/their in-house slice. Small, burned and all-around blah. I had good luck in the store, but I can no longer recommend it as a 5-Star winner. ______________________ Crestwood Pizzeria is amazingly good. I’ve lived w/in 10 miles of this place for half of my life, and I was never there until yesterday(05/25/2011). It honestly gave my favorite place(Four Corners in Pelham Manor) some SERIOUS competition. One more visit and there may be a new sherriff in town. I had 2 plain slices. Wow. Pretty fat menu, too.

My favorite pizza in Westchester… I can’t really go into too many specifics because in reality, Crestwood Pizza tastes exactly like New York Pizza should. I’ve only tried regular cheese pizza, the white pizza, the baked ziti pizza and the calzones — all were fantastic. There is only one or two tables in there so I’d recommend taking it to go. The pizzas are very reasonably priced and are enormous in size. Highly recommended.

Years ago I used to hit up Crestwood Pizzeria while I was working in the area. The food was so good that, although I don’t work in the area, in passing I had to make a detour and stop by. The grilled chicken salad is fresh and delicious. All other dishes are just as good and well it’s a pizzeria so that is on point too. When you go up to the counter you can see that the kitchen is spotless and six years later the same workers are just as nice and helpful as they were back then. Small pizzeria, big taste.
