Wow never going there again. Beware of the Andrea! I enjoy the Barbers in Beaverton but most of the girls I know we’re out for the day. So I figured I would try the local barbers to see if they are the same. What a mistake. The lady who cut my hair was not even paying attention to what she was doing. All she wanted to do was talk… I couldn’t see much when I was in there, but I should of looked closer. When I got home I noticed she missed so many spots it’s embarrassing. And all I wanted was a simple semi high and tight. What a waste of 26 dollars. Anyways, if anyone reads this, save yourself the pain and don’t go here. Go see Jenny or Kristine at the Beaverton location. Well that is if they are working…

Been coming here for awhile now, Im usually in around 7:30 so theres not much of a wait, staff is always friendly, some places you go into 30 minutes before closing you get some negative vibes, not here, always pleasant and happy to shave my melon!

This is the second time my partner has gone to this location and had her hair cut by one particular hairstylist. She has purple hair and she’s very friendly and nice. But both times she has totally botched the haircut. Specifically the fade. It’s not faded at all, it’s choppy and looks unprofessional. My partner has been to a different stylist at this location and had no problems. We do enjoy The Barbers. It’s close to home and a great environment to get a hair cut. But I feel we are being forced to look elsewhere due to lack of experience and technique. And since we only do walk ins I don’t think we can get consistent service. I wish we didn’t have to worry if the haircut is going to turn out decent depending on who is cutting it. Ideally, we would be able to walk in at any time, any day and receive the same standard of service every time.

Cheap and nice haircut for my friend. But the problem is, the time we waited is too long, at least 30mins. Also, no water available or not easily get when you sit in the waiting chair, kind of annoying when u have to wait so long. One interesting thing is, u could go and come back as long as you sign up and kind of letting the people working there know. So, u may expect to wait for 2 people in front of u when u come in, but actually 5 more could come back suddenly and u need to wait for more than 30 mins. No explanation from the people there unless you ask them and get the interesting fact above. Kind of frustrating, because u never know when it is your turn!! Well, if we get back there again next time, be sure to sign up then go to Fred Meyer or have a meal and then come back without any need to wait in line again.

I’ve been going to the Barbers for my last number of haircuts and every visit has been great! I typically would pay $ 40 at another local«boutique» male salon, but never again! I recommend Tiffany — she is super friendly and always down for a good chat.

I went in to this location at 7:40pm. There were two people getting haircuts and a man and his son sitting in the waiting area. The sign says open till 8, so I assume when you are taking walk ins, that 7:40 is still plenty of time. I apparently was wrong. I was informed that they were full for the night and I could come back tomorrow. I had never been to The Barbers before and now will never go back. I went across the street to get it cut instead.

I’m a loyal fan of this place. Definitely a step up from mega chains, and consistent! Always a fun conversation and a great haircut!

I really love this place! I usually come here every week for a neck shave that is $ 2 and every 3 – 4 weeks for«The Works». A cut, shampoo and neck shave. This place always produces consistent results, has TVs with sports and cozy chairs. I do like the fact they use high quality clippers and seem to genuinely care about the way you look(I have sort of a phobia of getting a bad haircut… Childhood mushroom cut!!) I would recommend this place to anybody and the gals are nice and not flirty. Sticking to business is good, I don’t like hearing about your life problems and your husband leaving you or your sister being arrested, I’m here to relax!

Had my first Barbers experience this afternoon! Tiffany cut my hair and did an amazing job! I went with the works and it was the best $ 19.95 spent in a while!

Finally someone who can cut my hair correctly. Thank you Dennis! I have straight, fine hair that I usually just let grow. A coupe of times a year I beat the boss to it and bite the bullet before I am asked. Mostly I have to try and explain what I’m after so between my lack of expertise in explaining and usually a lack of expertise in understanding, things don’t go so well. Dennis got the gist and merely asked where I wanted it on the ear. Voila, just what I was looking for. Very reasonable, quick and Dennis has some stories to tell. Bring cash or a cheque, no cards accepted.

I’ve been to the Tualatin outpost of «The Barbers» chain twice. Once for an OK cut and once for a disaster. Both times I was pressured to «sign in,» though there was at most one other chair occupied and no one waiting. Sorry, but that’s not how barber shops operate. I shouldn’t have to put my name down on a ledger to get a haircut I’m paying for by cash. That should have been the first warning. The atmosphere: This place is not like a barber shop. It’s more like a beauty salon tarted up to look«masculine.» Bold colors. Steel diamond plate highlights. Sports on the TV. But it’s really just a beauty salon — one unconvincingly pretending to be a barber shop. To the cuts: Cut 1, done by a 30-something woman. The cut was OK. About as expected. I didn’t appreciate the pressure to accept a massage at the end. Just cut the hair, please. Cut 2, done by a 30-something man and corrected afterward, to the extent possible, by a 50-something woman. The cut was a disaster. I looked like an idiot for 2 weeks even after it was«corrected.» I’d never seen a cut done in that method — using a razor with a really long offset guard rather than a comb. I should have been paying more attention, but at the end I couldn’t believe the mess that was left. I was furious. So I shan’t be going back to «The Barbers.» I got into a discussion about that experience at another barber shop(a «real» one, you’ll note, given the lower case«b»). It was at Swede’s in Raleigh Hills. The barber I spoke with suggested that most likely, the person cutting my hair had not gone to a Barber School, but had instead gone to general hair styling school that teaches both womens’ and mens’ cuts. I haven’t confirmed it, but he indicated there were no true Barber Schools left in Oregon. Regardless — if you like the beauty salon experience, want to pretend you’re in a barber shop, and aren’t particular about the way your hair comes out, by all means hike on down to Tualatin and go to «The Barbers.» Otherwise, I’d advise looking elsewhere.

The Barbers is Th Place. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the staff, sports TVs, masculine theme, and pricing. I walked in getting a warm and flirtatious welcome from three great ladies. I was in a chair within minutes. The stylist listened to my desires of cut; she was friendly, talented, and speedy. I also got a neck shave and a three minute shoulder massage with one of those old style vibro motor things. Get your next cut at The Barbers Tualatin.
