Brandon is a sold guy that anticipated frustration prior to it happening and quickly corrected a minor inconvenience into a positive customer experience. Went in for a full 13+putter regrip. Grips I like, they don’t carry, no prob, online ordered them and had GS apply them. First day promised they weren’t ready, no biggie, 2nd day ready but found the next day one clubs grip wasn’t seated correct. Feared the grip I bought online would be ruined trying to fix it but Brandon not only corrected issue without trashing grip but he also without asking credited my install charge knowing it took two trips to get the job done. Will go back again for other equipment and thanks Brandon

I bought a Ping G303wood last night. I asked where the adjustment tool was and I was told by the lady that sold it to me and the cashier that the tools only came with the drivers. I said that that did not sound right and wasn’t right but they stuck to their story. I called Ping this morning and found out that it was not true. They send a tool out with the drivers and all the fairway woods. I had to drive back 20 miles to get the tool. At first they said if I wanted the tool, they would give it to me. I said it should have come with the club. Response = sorry. Watch out and make sure you get what you pay for. I won’t return to this store. Got a call from the store today apologizing and trying to make it right … they did good

I worked for a competitor of Golfsmith for several years. I know the ups and downs of the retail side of golf. I’ve given bad customer service and great customer service, we all have our days. I don’t expect the sales staff to be waiting in the corners when I have a question, but I do expect someone to actually say something to me. I’ve had numerous sales people look at me and either walk right by me or walk the other way. They just do not seem like they want to assist anyone. This is not just one occasion, but occurs everything I enter the store. I didn’t think that my expectations could get any lower, but they did today. Was going to buy a preowned driver. Waiting inline to pay for it, it is taking some time for the cashier to check the person out for some reason. Another cashier walks up with what I thought was to check me out, but no they just decided to check their customer out who was behind me inline. In short Golfsmith gives the worst customer service. If you are in need of golf equipment do yourself a favor and go to Smitty’s, Island Greens, or drive down to Fiddler’s. You will probably need to soon anyways because I would not be surprised to see a for lease sign where Golfsmith is currently in the near future.

I sent my brother in to get an item I had reserved as an in store pickup as this store is close to him. The Golfsmith online form allowed me to use a coupon, gave me receipt and said it was ready for pickup. He was met by a rude female employee that said coupons are not allowed GPS items and he had to pay full price. Even after he tried to show them the Golfsmith email showing the Golfsmith coupon had been applied they refused. Manager was brought over and was not helpful and disinterested in the proof being provided. Both employees bad mouthed the online team saying it was their fault. Not the kind of customer service one would expect seeing how we do have choices.

If you’re a serious golfer you’re best off avoiding this place. The majority of the staff are not players, and the manager«John» is an absolute disgruntled… I’ll stop there. My experiences with this place are numerous(as I used to live in the area) and while I didn’t leave disappointed every time, the reality was Golfsmith as a whole is undergoing some big changes and a lot of things are affected. 2nd hand clubs. This is like Christmas for golfers. When you can find Titleist, TMAG, Mizuno and every other manufacturer’s slightly/well-used models at a affordable prices, it’s like a garage sale only you were invited to. Unfortunately, that party train stopped. Prices now are often above market(used online) and there is NO negotiation. Not on trade-in, not on purchases — nothing. Prices are what they are, no matter how out-of-line they might be. I get that the industry is having a tough time, but come on, stick to what you know or people won’t be coming back to buy anything but Christmas gifts and the occasional box of ProV1’s.

This review is not really about golfsmith, but about the fabulous salesperson that helped me today. Adam gets five stars! It’s easy to dismiss a woman with her six year old in tote who is casually picking through clubs from the demo section and smiling as her little girl shows off the dog shaped head cover she has discovered. I would think it would be easy to not take me as a serious golfer or buyer for that matter. However, Adam didn’t. After stopping and listening to what I was looking for, he took me through the process of setting me up on the simulator, talking to my kiddo about how ‘great’ mom could hit the ball, analyzing my shots and going through a number of drivers with me until we found the perfect one with the perfect shaft and perfect loft. What a spectacular guy!

Got fitted for my new i25 irons. Staff did a super job and the launch monitor gave immediate feedback as to how I was hitting different clubs. If you are a golfer, this place is like candyland. Kudos to the Tualatin Golfsmith for a great experience.

Great service every time I stop by. Unlike the Cascade Parkway Golfsmith the employees here will actually help you.

If you need anything related to golf this is the place. They also had the cheapest prices on Pro V1x balls for my brother’s xmas present.
