To read some of the reviews, you would think this place is awful. But it isn’t. If you are looking for innovative or trendy food, this is the wrong place to go, but if you need a beer and a burger, it’s just fine. My burger was very tasty, and the onion rings were a nice change from fries. My boys each had different burgers, and they were both satisfied with the quality and the quantity of food. Filling teenage boys isn’t easy! My husband enjoyed his tortellini. Added bonus: we were able to sit in the bar area to watch the NFL playoff game. If you want hot, new and trendy, you can wait 45 minutes for a table on the other side of town. If we did that, we would have missed the game.

I have lived in Trumbull for many years and was really hoping that I would like this place. My husband and I went to the bar for beer and nachos. The nachos were not good at all. Didn’t like the chips, the chili was sparse and the guacamole on the side was just ok. The bar also did not have the atmosphere that would make you want to come again. Sadly, I will not be returning.

This place is alright as long as you don’t catch one of the karaōke nights. Many many times my coworkers and I have come here for a drink and food after a show. Drinks are good, price is alright. I prefer Parker’s steak and scotch across the street if given the choice.

Went with my two boys, looking for something different. We ordered clams casino to start with. The were slimy and stinky. They had too much bread and the slab of bacon across the top was hard as a rock. I ordered the Strip Steak. Not a very good cut and it had a chemical taste in the juice, probably a dirty grill. The vegetables were over cooked. My 10-year-old did not like the mac & cheese and only ate a few spoonfuls. My 13 year old ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium rare. It was over cooked and the bacon was again, hard as a rock. Will never come here again.

Blehh — tried this place again after hearing it had been remodeled — which it seemed like it had. Price was WAY too high for food, took WAY Too long on a not busy lunch time crowd. Food was fine — but just not there. Service was fine — took too long to get bill but not unfriendly. Can’t see a reason to go back.

Went for lunch on Tuesday. Nice day so we sat outside. Place wasn’t very busy. Ordered blackened chicken sandwich and friend ordered steak sandwich. Hour later our food got there. Food was good but the poor service and high prices just killed this.

Been here a few times. Every single time these guys are amazing. Food is actually really good. I’m not sure why the reviews were bad. Didn’t go here initially because of that. But now it is one of my favorite places to eat.

Food is prepared decently and tastes well, but high prices are sure to scare people from eating here. This is the home of the $ 23.32 dollar salad(kale salad with a little steak). Definitely too much. The most I would pay for a salad in this restaurant would be 16 dollars. Most other restaurants charge about around 3 – 4 dollars for either chicken or steak on their salads. Their wings are 10 dollars for 10 wings, which is a few dollars too expensive. 15 dollars for a chicken sandwich? Nope, too expensive. I understand that they want to keep a «fine dining» perspective upon their customers, but that narrows the crowd which will eat there. This is not Greenwich, it is Trumbull. Most customers may come only for drinks and small appetizers.

Very disappointed with«O» Bar. Instead of «Hanger Steak with Fries» the menu should have read«Fries with ‘Hanger Steak.’» Simply unacceptable given its inflated price.

Based on some of the reviews I read about this restaurant, I had to write my own review following my personal experience at O bar yesterday for lunch… My friend and I sat at the bar and were welcomed by a smiling, friendly bartender behind the bar. She took our order promptly and the food came out quickly too. I had the O bar and grill salad and it was delicious! Large enough portion size to fill you up without feeling overstuffed. For dessert, I had a slice of warm apple tart with caramel sauce and this also was delicious. Overall, the experience was very nice. I will be back for dinner at some point but lunch for sure was good and worth another visit again.

I had to make an account just to write a review. This place was not good at all… Service took 15 min just to bring us water, we drank all the water and had to ask for our waiter to come and take our order. Good was bland, vegetables over cooked, tuna tartar’s presentation was horrible didn’t come with chips or anything. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Location is great and décor is nice but staff needs a lot of work and so does the food. Chef needs to taste menu before sending it out. Very disappointed.

I spent more time waving the flies away from my food than actually eating it. Literally flies everywhere. Disgusting! Waiter took forever and acted very careless!!! Never again!!! Food sucks and whoever posts something positive is prob a friend of the owner… place sucks, food sucks…

I come here on occasion, usually with my mother for drinks and food at the bar or outside when it’s nice out. I’m honestly shocked at the poor reviews. Every time we come here we get friendly and great service. The drinks are on the smaller side(because they use fancy glasses) but they are strong so it makes up for it. We usually order off the tapas menu and my favorite is the mac & cheese and the friend artichokes. Both amazing! The regular meal prices are a little on the higher side so we have fun just mixing it up with a variety of tapas which range from $ 4-$ 7 since we like variety. The bartender makes the best long island ice tea’s I’ve ever had. The bar is always clean. Sometimes it gets crowded so I wish they had a bigger bar area instead of so much dinning room area. This is a local place where we go for an easy-going drink y tapas. I will continue to go!

The food is good… if you ever get a waiter to take your order. The service here is awful. The manager is incredibly rude. I’ve been here a number of times and every time the manager is involved I have had a horrible time. Apparently my group and I rubbed him the wrong way one time and he is just generally an asshole from thereon out. The last time I went was a few Saturdays ago. It was about six o’clock, but it wasn’t very packed. I was with a group of six. We originally went to have dinner. Our waiter was horrible. All we got was our soups, which was very good, but the waiter never came back. My boyfriends steak tips never made it into the system. I called over the manager and he did absolutely nothing. The bill came and that was a huge ordeal. They charged us for the steak tips that never came. The waiter was just awful, this went back and forth. They never even offered us a comped dessert or anything. Again, the food is good but the wait staff is awful and the manager is rotten, which is a huge turn off, especially because we are paying guests.

Food is ok. Service for us today at noon was amazingly slow. Took 20m to get water and a menu. Then 15m later they still hadn’t taken our order. Half of our party of ten just got up and left because they didn’t want to have lunch be an all day affair.

Great dinner again tonight. Blackened grouper was well done. Need to know what to order here. Can be hit or miss night to night.

Came in today with mom and sis for their prix fixe $ 12.95 lunch. Best lunch deal in town. Although our waiter was sort of out of it. Had to ask at least twice for our drinks of soda and tea. Note: If you check in on Unilocal while you’re there and you show the waiter the phone, you get a tapas for freeeeeeeee! Had the Caesar salad, Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and the Floating Island for dessert. The dessert of meringue, cream and caramel sauces are worth the trip alone. The outdoor patio looked nice, but today was so hot we didn’t even attempt it. There was a couple out there we saw that was so hot in the sun that they had to switch to a more shaded area. Much cooler where we were inside.

I’m going to leave a simple review for once Pros: Its a place in Trumbull that has a good drink selection, and great drink menu(but a bit pricey… but hey did I mention its in Trumbull) Cons: Price, Décor, Selection of food. I’m not sure what type of restaurant it is. I know its food and drinks, which is pretty complete to me. It just seems to lack a type of concept or focus. 3 stars because I believe its the best place to get drinks in such a dry town.

Honestly– where should I begin. At the risk of sounding like a snob or an elitist I just HAVE to warn potential patrons. DON’T BOTHER! Drive the extra 10 – 15 minutes to go somewhere else. The décor is bleak 80’s wine colored walls w passé Italian wine prints & Home Depot plants, Grey mirrors, lazy wait staff, old/reused restaurant furniture. OMG. 1.the nachos were COLD(how is that possible?!) & the cheese to chip ratio was conservative @ best 2. guacamole was a shocking shade of pseudo green & chock-full of Bermuda onion which is all I tasted 3. the salsa was from a can? /jar 4. Our server got our drink order very wrong 5. the chili they served w the nachos(on the side) was flavorless watery ground meat concoction 6. Our waiter never returned to ask if we were pleased(um we totally were NOT) The regular menu looked pretty traditional W ample choices & variety. The bar menu offered some cool appetizers for $ 5 each. But I will NOT go back. I actually don’t like the one in F airfield either– don’t even get me started on that cr*ck den.
