Well, the white rice was served over-cooked and mushy. Strike 1. I paid extra for the Pad Thai Special which was basically $ 2 more for only two shrimp. Strike 2. A dollar per shrimp is a rip off. The Pad Thai sauce was too over powering and tangy. Strike 3. The Yellow Curry with chicken and the Pumping Curry were both excellent, plus 2. However, the Pumpkin Curry only had 2 shrimp(not good) in the pumpkin curry. We ordered the spice level adventurous and it was mild. strike 4. We ordered pot stickers and we received fried wonton, the waitress insisted we ordered the wonton, which we never ever order. Strike 5. To top it off, we had to box up all of our left overs ourselves. The waitress was friendly but there was a big language barrier. We will not come back.

Great lunch at a reasonable price, about $ 9. Nice small place, good food and service. I will be back soon. Bob Stine

Highly satisfying. The spices go perfectly with a dinner to wrap up an active winter day in the snow. Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, Won Ton soup, and various curries were all very good. The mango sticky rice dessert was superb.

Was so surprised to find such a great Thai restaurant in Truckee! We ordered 6 different dishes and all were on point: 1) Tom Gha soup(coconut and chicken) — great flavor with some nice tang. Not spicy at all 2) Panang Curry — really well developed curry with some peanut in it. The chicken was really notable for being well cooked — I find most thai Curry meats are painfully overcooked. 3) hungover noodles with tofu 4) spicy basil fried rice 5) red curry with tofu 6) spicy basil duck! All the dishes were very large generous portions and cooked really well. Service was to the point and fast, which I like. No BS. Highly recommend this place.

Service was on point, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and were able to make pretty much every dish vegetarian. The food came out very quickly despite coming in a party of 13 people, much appreciated! Getting to the most important part, the food itself was very delectable — would really recommend the Tom Kha Ghai soup, Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry. I had high hopes for their Pineapple Fried Rice as well, but it was somewhat more dry and less flavorful than what I had hoped. Overall, a great experience, would visit again!

YUM! I love this place! I have lived in Truckee for 3 years and have come back to this place again and again. It’s changed owners and names a few times but the food remains just as great. The pumpkin curry is the best in town and their green curry is also excellent. Love the tofu and peanut sauce appetizer and their Tom Ka soup(ask to add noodles– its great!). Lunch specials ROCK! Only $ 8 and you get a full meal. Delicious! Any Truckee local knows that all our restaurants and stores get SLAMMED Friday-Sunday so its probably best to get take out from here on the weekends in Winter or come for an early dinner if you don’t want a long wait. Don’t expect great service from here on a Friday or Saturday night during peak seasons– I’ve only seen 2 waitresses working here most nights.

Horrible Thai food, cold, sticky and would never eat again. The soup tasted like dish soap, asked for no cooked green peppers and put in every order. asked for Serrano peppers in fish sauce was given black pepper. Even worse service. I have never provided a bad review. I am shocked this place is in business.

Aweful service. 4 of us had a reservation at 7, we were seated at 7:20. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone said anything to us. Then after 18 minutes we got some water. A large group of people sat at a table next to us around the time we got our order taken, and got their order taken right away. They for served 5 dishes before a single one of ours came out. Thanks for treating us locals like Not coming back.

Excellent food and friendly service. We had the rice noodle soup with chicken, chicken satay, pumpkin curry, panang curry, and chicken stir fry(I forget the name). Everything was very tasty. Definitely will head there again next time we’re in north Tahoe area.

I came here with my family(seven of us) on the Thanksgiving weekend. The restaurant was fully packed and we thought what’s gonna be our next stop. To our delight, one of the attendant made some quick arrangements, moving two tables together and called in us to take our seats. It’s a small yet cute-cozy place to hangout with family/friends, lovely holiday decors, looked like a family-run business. Our choices — Me and the Hubby! **You’l be given 4 options to indicate your spiciness, 1. Coward(very minimal) 2. Careful(minimum) 3. Adventurous(Medium) 4. Native Thai(Extreme Hot) ~ Appetizer, Thai Egg Rolls(Vegetarian)($ 6.95) — Served Hot. 4 pieces. Fried justly and very flavorful. #Like# ~ Dinner Soup, Tom Yum Goong(customized to Veg)($ 12.95) — Hot & sour soup with fresh mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, lime juice & cilantro. Liked the cilantro dressing, for it reminded more of Indian cooking style. Serving size was Humongous. #Super Duper Likes# ~ Rice Dish, Spicy Basil Fried Rice(Veg)($ 10.95) — We opted for Adventurous spice level, which was not too spicy as promised. Came in with fried rice with hot peppers, basil, baby corns, onions and mushrooms. Large portion size. #Super Likes# ~ Dessert, Thai Custard — Good. Again, large portion size. #Likes# I’d love to visit Siam Cuisine again especially during Winter. It was wonderful to grab their Hot food in the snowy setting!

One of the best curries I’ve had in a very long time! Excellent quality. Had the avocado curry with tofu. It’s pricy, $ 15, but well worth it in portion and flavor. You will be satisfied.

As good if not better than any Thai I’ve had before. I ordered the lunch special with Panang beef curry. It came with soup, which had fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables. The salad was good, but the dressing was a tad sweet for me. The Panang curry was excellent. The friendly server asked if I like it spicy to which I replied, «Yes.» The curry was spicier than I usually have, but not too spicy. The spring roll was very good as well. I ordered chicken pad Thai to-go to share with my family and it was delicious. I’m so happy to have found a new favorite Thai restaurant and look forward to our next trip to Truckee to eat here!

So glad we found this little place during our stay in Truckee! The Pad Thai is way good, better than the ones we have tried in the East Bay area. The Basil fried rice is OK… the red curry with«native Thai» spiciness is great! The Thai ice tea is also delicious!

My choice of birthday dinner. The food is excellent for having a new owner, service is a little slow bur there is a sign in the window looking for service help. Had a excellent green papaya salad, and pad Thai. A tasty pork sparerib which was on the special board. Finished the meal with a nice sweet rice with mango. Excellent meal!

Really good Thai food for Truckee! I’m so happy to be able to find some plausible ethnic food in the mountains. Like, unbelievably happy. The staff is friendly and attentive. The patio is nice, especially if you have kids. Three chili peppers really does mean very spicy.

Late dinner on the way home from Lincoln yesterday. Cozy, beautiful place. New name and owner. Kind and attentive staff. Spicy mango-shrimp&chicken curry was great! Also loved the sweet-sour chicken. They boxed up enough extra for both of us to have a perfect repeat at lunch today. Jasmine hot tea was perfect for the cool Truckee evening. We will be back!

We went for dinner to this restaurant because my wife had really enjoyed her dinner during a prior visit to this restuarant. The spring rolls were tasty, and the server was attentive and warm. I ordered the grilled duck curry, and my wife ordered a chicken curry. While the curry sauce and accompanying fruits and vegetables were good, the grilled duck was terrible. The duck seemed very old, rubbery, and 4 of the 6 pieces were half meat, half tendon/gristle, and were inedible. I would never order the duck again. The server came by to check on everything. I pointed out the chunks of gristle and fat and noted that the curry was very good, but that the duck was gristly and bad. She made a face, as if to show understanding, but then just walked away. My wife’s dish also had a tasty, spicy curry, but the chicken was rubbery, and grainy. Overall a negative experience despite good service, and decent flavor to the curry.
