Used to be Whole Treats that has lots of reviews on Unilocal. Still great baked goodies ~ lots of gluten free choices.

Excellent! The sweet potato walnut bread is amazing, the coffee is awesome and I have never been in there where I have not had a pleasant conversation with whoever was working there.

These bakers know their craft. Croissants are buttery layers of heaven. We tried an apple and walnut pastry that was incredible, generously filled with nuts and sliced cinnamon apples. They have a nice gluten free selection also, try the lemon mini bundt cake(?), I can’t remember it went too fast! You wouldn’t know it was gluten free at all. A moist cake with tangy lemony bottom that I wish I knew the name… My husband loved their espresso caramel bar so much we’ve tried with no success to find a similar recipe here at home. You could make a fortune off of those bars alone! Be sure to try their ham and cheese quiche, I have never had a lighter flakier crust in my life. The ham is thick sliced, perfect blend of salt and faintly sweet and the egg/cheese mixture is light and fluffy. I loved this place! So disappointed we don’t live here…

I miss Whole Treats Bakery because of their menu for soups, salads, breakfast, sandwiches, etc. However Coffee Bar Bakery now has Coffee Bar coffees which are the best in Truckee by far! The baked goods are very very good and their cakes are very very rich. I ordered a carrot cake for a friend’s B’day and it was excellent. Very carroty with rich sour cream butter frosting. They still have a wide election of gluten free baked goods as Whole Treats did. Their croissant are wonderful and the quiches are very good but thin on the ingredients(much more cheese than ham). Overall an excellent and rather esoteric collection of baked goods and all with the wonderful Coffee Bar coffees.

Memorial Day weekend is always a busy time up here so I expected other little coffee places in Truckee to be over crowded with vacationers so I decided to give this place a try. As the other reviewer noted, maybe not as hip of a vibe as other places(it’s basically in a strip mall) but the service, delicious(and beautiful) mocha and amazing ham-and-cheese croissant made up for it for me. Also, although not critical for me personally, I have many friends who are eating gluten free and the pastries they have here that are gluten free look absolutely amazing. I will skip the craziness of other coffee places and come back here again. It’s great to have this as an option at the Tahoe Donner end of Truckee.

Oooh la la. I’m the first to review. How fun. I’m new to town and am a big fan of these Coffeebars. Really nice vibe and friendly staff. They have happy hour coffee which drops the price to a mere $ 2 per coffee after 4pm so that’s rad.(Although they forgot to give it to me once so I paid $ 5 for what should have been a two dollar coffee. Alas, I will still be back.) This location is much more the bakery and doesn’t quite have the cool kid feel of the downtown location. But their baked goods galore and wifi(or wee fee) gratis are nice perks. And very tasty espresso drinks. Sold!
