The food is good and a nice beer selection with local choices. The waitress answered all of my ridiculous out of towner questions too! It would have been great if they could have had music playing or something, but besides that it was great.

If you ever wonder if a place exists for the benefit and experience of the customer or for themselves here’s a good example.
We were told «everything on the menu is ½ off except for starred items» (big pricier items). Once sat we were then told its ½ off BUT w the purchase of a drink. So we purchased two soft drinks, ordered two burgers and an appetizer which we were told was half off and because we purchased drinks we assumed we where covered. Not true! Because we didn’t purchase another drink the app was full price!
Even our server, who was AWESOME, agreed 100% w us that it’s confusing.
It’s confusing on purpose.

Great place! Went here for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. I ordered the Gratiot burger served with a fried egg on it. Mmmmm
We didn’t notice until we walked out that they serve Faygo. I’m new to town so I need to make a point of trying some.

A friend and I met here last night honestly not sure why it doesn’t have more stars the burger was pretty good and they had the beer we both wanted. I had the Mack Ave because I love me a good burger with blue cheese and my friend had the Gratiot Ave which had an egg on it (always good). Overall the place was clean and would be a great place to meet a group for drinks and some food. OH almost forgot they have waffle fries! I’ll be back again forsure!

Food isn’t bad. I don’t know why people have been rating under 3 stars. There aren’t any drink specials unfortunately, but the burgers were good and they have a large selection. I wasn’t disappointed with the quality and they got waffle fries!

The food was ok nothing special but I was really pissed off when they started cleaning and putting the chairs up at 1030 when they closed at 11. First of all if you close at 11 then you need to stop serving at 1045 and cleaning is ok before closing but dont put the chairs up on the tables around the customers to make them feel uncomfortable so they can leave at 11 especially when ordering food and drinks worth $ 250.

Have fallen in love with this place for lunch! Great menu! Great staff! Quick service and really reasonable prices!

If you are looking for a great burger look no further! They hit it out of the park with The Burger Island. The chili was amazing! Mark was my waiter, he was very friendly, personable, & helpful. He definitely takes pride in his work. My entire experience was the best I have had in a long time. I will definitely be back soon.

Went here Friday night for a burger with some friends. Had to go to the bathroom and on the way trip and fell over a step that was marked by a highchair with a piece of paper on the opposite side from me saying, «watch your step». So as a lay on the floor after hitting my head, shoulder, forearm and knee like a hockey player crashing into the boards and tears in my eyes, I had pick myself as no one came to help me. I stopped a man with a Detroit Burger shirt on and explained what happened and asked if he could bring me ice. He brought me ice to my table. I asked to speak to the manager, turns out he was the manager. I he said he was sorry I fell but didn’t I see the highchair. My friends suggested maybe they move the table that backs up into the highchair and step so people can actually get around. The manager then proceeded to blame the previous restaurant that was their before them saying they just haven’t had a chance to do any remodeling yet.
They waitress gave be more ice and apologized saying that it happens all the time do that is why they put the highchair there to try to prevent it. They sent me on my way bruised, swollen and with a massive headache. But not before I took pictures of the inside of the restaurant and of my injuries. Even today two days later I’m my left side from my shoulder to wrist is bruised and very sore.
Needless to say I will never eat here again since this is the way they treat their customers
They need to care because with customer they would be out of business.

The menu is very burger/​sandwich oriented, just so you know. Old Detroit Slim Jim was pretty good; my wife liked her burger. Different Michigan craft beers available, but nothing too crazy. A lot of families there on a Saturday night. A nice place with reasonable prices that should do well with the Troy crowd.

Strictly a bar review. Please be aware they charge $.75 for a drink on the rocks. Really? Bartender is not super personal but hustling nevertheless. I like the décor and enjoy that there are a number of local beers on tap even if they are pricy ($ 5.50). As a local business owner, I can tell you that local stuff comes cheaper, so please be responsible and please don’t gouge your patrons for the simple things.

In general, it’s a nice place. Since burger is in the name, one would think they have a very good burger; unfortunately that is not case. In general, it’s okay. Off the top of my head I can think of much better.
On a positive note, the tap beer list has 17 entries; many of them from local micro breweries. Overall it’s an okay; probably not returning soon.

I have driven by the Clawson location multiple times and I have always wanted to stop and try it since I loved burgers. I was in Troy and had some time so I stopped in for dinner. The hostesses were rather unwelcoming and sullen. I bypassed them immediately and headed towards the bar. The bartender was nice enough. The beer list was alright and I ordered Atwater Dirty Blonde.
I looked over the menu and honestly, most of the burgers seemed rather uninspired. I decided to stick with their classic burger. I added cheddar and jalapenos. I ordered it medium and got the fries as a side. My food came out quickly, which was great because the fans were throwing the neon lights from the bar in a very dizzying manner and if anyone was prone to seizures, you might end up in the back of an ambulance before you ever got your dinner. Why are the fans even on in the middle of winter, who knows?
I sampled the fries first. Nothing special. Literally probably from Gordon Food Service. At least they were warm and crispy. The burger looked good but sadly it was the most plain thing I have ever tasted. The meat was totally unseasoned and it wasn’t even charred on the outside, which would at least lend some flavor. It wasn’t really medium either, it was well done. I’m not sure how they cook their meat, do they bake it or what? I’m not sure how you can cook meat without getting any char on the outside.
The bun was a plain old white bun, not toasted or anything. The veggies on the burger were at least fresh. I also deducted a star because I was forced to watch Fox News. Will not be returning, there are way better burger places in the Metro area.

The food is terrible, and everything is over-​priced. «Friendliness» of staff is hit or miss. I used to come in for a Stella Artois or two every now and then, but they suddenly raised the price of Stella from 4.75 to 5.25/bottle overnight. Now there’s no reason to go to this lame place.

How a place can have the word «Burger» in their name and serve what they serve is beyond me.
If you like ordering a burger at «Medium» and enjoy getting a wet gray slab on the outside and Kroger day old pinkish/​gray on the inside this joint has your name all over it.
They did better burgers when they were Mr. B’s. They did better burgers when that old lady tried to turn it into a Polish family restaurant. The only plus was a cute bartender, but being in my 50’s I often put food quality above eye candy factor.
Avoid until they can figure out how to put a sear on a burger.

Good for burgers and beer! The burgers were ½ lb for a modest price around $ 10.50. The quality was good and the presentation was cool with the restaurant logo branded into the bun. They also had norms raggedy ass on draft which is always a plus for me. Good food for a decent price. I will definitely be returning.

Service was fantastic and my husband and kids loved their burgers. I got a Greek salad and was not impressed but nacho app was great. I will be back.

I had the corned beef sliders (Reuben) and they were awesome. My husband had the Gratiot Ave burger and loved it. The fries are fantastic– both the regular and the waffle.
Service was fantastic! Our waitress, Paula, was friendly, attentive and fast. Actually the manager and another waitress checked on us too.
Great food– reasonably priced– great service. Five Stars all day!
