Wow, I’m sad to see this place fizzle away. First of all they sat us in the way back next to the window. Since it was 10 something degrees out we sat there in our coats. I had the crispy shrimp taco, the tortillas were cold and I had 2 pieces of shrimp in each. They were just average. Also had a side of the tomato salad– not what I was expecting. Needless to say, I won’t be back anytime soon!!!

Ate here two nights ago, haven’t been here in years. Use to love the kabobs but they didn’t have them on the menu anymore. So choose something else, it wasn’t bad but my taste buds still remembered the kabobs that i was craving. Service was good and i like the restaurant just wish they still had the kabobs with rice and me pouring tiger sauce and pick a peppa sauce all over everything.

After shopping at Nordstrom’s Rack we decided to have a bite to eat here. We arrived at 3:30pm on a weekday so we were 30 minutes too early to enjoy happy hour but were still within the time to dine from the luncheon menu. Mom and I both ordered a cocktail called Gommbay Smash($ 6.79) which was very tasty. I’m more of a wine drinker but lately am trying to taste different cocktails. I thought this drink pulled the flavors of pineapple and rum, it was good. I chose the Tilapia lunch. For $ 10.99 I received 2 very large filets, rice and green beans. I opted to pay an extra $ 2.50 for a Caesar salad. I really wanted blackened fish but they didn’t offer that so I settled for the creole selection. Blackened fish would have been much more enjoyable but the tilapia was cooked well and was very filling. For dessert I ordered the Key Lime Pie. I didn’t care for it but mom loved it. The crust was delicious and I liked the meringue but the actual lime ‘pie’ part wasn’t thick enough. To me it was more like a cool, loose pudding. Our server, Darniesha, was excellent. Darniesha was well groomed, attentive and answered all our questions that we had about the menu. We will be back

This Bahamas breeze is huge, plenty of room for group’s with a nice sized bar and that fun island feeling throughout. The place was clean and the people we’re friendly. We went late on a Thursday night, lucky for us we were in the happy hour, and their ½ off draft beer and apps, this was a great deal and the huge nacho on the appetizers menu was more than a meal alone. Their were a ton of other choices but you could definitely make a meal from just the apps. The menu is also packed full with choices. I was happy we stopped in and I will be back for sure.

My boyfriend and I dined at this location just the other night. We came in just before 8pm and asked to sit in the somewhat secluded area with the fire pit, just wanting a quiet dinner. This was reserved for a large party later on, so instead the hostess directs us to another area placing us directly next to a server station. We were greeted by Aaron, who although friendly, was overly comfortable in continually using the word«man» to address my boyfriend. A server shouldn’t treat his guest like his«bros». We aren’t pals. We aren’t gym buddies. We are paying you, at least respect the guests for that matter. If he had addressed me with the same, «hey lady» we would have had a much bigger problem. I was irritated by the offensive level of noise from the servers in the station area directly behind us for a good portion of our stay. Absolutely unacceptable. The servers– ours in particular being the outright loudest of the group– were talking badly about another set of guests being waited on. Now, you think for a moment if a server is so carefree and open about talking poorly about other guests, they may do the same for you? If there is ever an issue as a server, take it to the kitchen– not where I can hear you. Having to sit through that as a guest was appalling and not to mention terribly inexcusable. Not only that, but after having a bone dry beer bottle for a while, the bottle was removed(he didn’t want another), and no water was brought in place. Instead, my boyfriend sat there with absolutely no drink in front of him for the duration and this is supposedly okay. Bahama Breeze, the unfortunate part is that the food was delicious but the meal in its entirety was completely bastardized by the unprofessional service and clowning around in the server station. If I wanted that, I would have ordered food from a bowling alley or someplace they count pieces of flair. Not here.

Bad night. NO gluten free menu. Waitress send a woman over to «guide me» through the menu — and she assures me her father-in-law is Celiac and she knows all about it. No yellow rice, no seasonings on fish or meat, no pasta, she says. Everything else is safe. Order creole shrimp, which she says if fine with mashed potatoes. Sure? YES! Well if the foods were safe, then evidently the KITCHEN doesn’t know how to prevent cross-contamination. 30 minutes after eating the hot skin, rash, burning & itching start. 30 minutes after that, the violent stomach issues begin. Waitress was nice, food tasted ok, but SAFETY isn’t an issue of concern here at Bahama Breeze!

So I can only comment on their Happy Hour because I went for that recently but it is legit! I love when you actually get full sized apps even when it’s half off(because, I am, by nature, a bargain hunter :) I tried the dynamite shrimp, onion rings and chicken wings. All were great, and it was under $ 12 for all of that. Pleasant service, my companions were all happy with their meals and drinks, I’ll definitely be back!

Would’ve been five stars, but the décor/vibe/corporate policies etc just felt fake. Kind of like if you ate lunch on the set of Gillilans Island, while it would be kinda cool, you would still see the reality around the façade. That being said, the rebel anarchist in me easily persuaded the bartender for long pours and to set ‘them on fire, literally. He first said ‘I can’t set your drinks on fire, it’s against corporate policy’ I replied, do I look like I work at corporate? Then the 151 and lighter came out of his pocket. Awesome work my boy. Ordered French fries with white truffle oil and they were so awesome in that oil that I don’t remember my meal, who cares, yes, that good. We’ll be back. But he’s probably fired, so hopefully another bartender is ready for the show. Good times.

This place has got it… still It’s a chain, but they still work hard with service and excellent food. I had the salmon salad and it was a bed of perfection. The salmon was prepared perfectly. it was crumbly and flavorful. I wish I could eat salmon like this everyday. Had a wonderful bowl of their chicken tortilla soup. It had a lime wedge on it, with lime infused in it as well… and it worked so well and it was a wonderfully delicious soup. I’m a huge fan of sea food, so I’d like to continue to go and try more and more and more and more and more… you get the idea… I’m a fan!

Service was good, drinks were delicious, we only got apps but the coconut shrimp is amazing with the sauce. It is a pricey place though so watch what you get it adds up.

My oh my. My girlfriend brought me here on date night. I was skeptical at first as I looked over the menu. I ordered The quesadillas and a margarita. The quesadillas were on point. Not having as a meal but only an appetizer. Still delicious. The classic margarita? Yea right, try top shelf margarita. I ordered it frozen and it’s one of the best margaritas I’ve had. 4 stars.

I liked the vibe of this restaurant and its theme. Their alcoholic beverages are very good. I suggest you try the mango jalapeño mojito and their chicken jerk pasta. The waitresses are very nice. There are huge portions but also the option for a lighter portion which is a good thing My only complaint is that the chicken jerk pasta had asparagus in it that was all stem-like. They did not use the top parts of the asparagus, but the bottom, hard-to-chew parts.

Fish tacos were just OK. Chicken tortilla soup was slightly bland. Quite disappointed to not see perch or walleye on the fresh fish options.

Cocktails are sweet and flavorful, chicken has lots of flavor, you can get full size or light sized portions, every entrée on the menu has a calorie count next to it.

I’ve been here twice with my boyfriend and the food wasn’t very good both times it was really just the chicken we both had entrees with chicken and we don’t know if it’s the texture of the chicken or taste but it didn’t get better! But our waitress was amazing we loved her she was some type of Spanish and she was great!

I had a fantastic time. Excellent service from Alex. he’s friendly and honest and gave great menu advice. Great mojitos and lemonade. Ate the Shrimp St Martin and firecracker shrimp. Man. Yummy green beans. Really pleasant, positive experience.

Lacks authenticity and doesn’t actually have seasonal daily specials. The fish is probably from frozen and mine was overcooked. Throwing mango salsa on something doesn’t make it Caribbean.

The appetizers are great, I recommend the island hopper sampler. The Cuban sandwich isn’t very good, but the lobster and shrimp quesadillas are good. Staff are friendly and do a great job.

Happy hour is really nice, as is the screened in patio. Food is completely overrated for everything else. If you like cocktail sauce ask the server to make you some, they will. Last time they didn’t so I wrote corporate, they sent me $ 25 gift card for inconvenience. Part of a much larger corporate conglomerate. Staff is also friendly in my experiance.

Really, only 2.5 star average for Bahama Breeze? I’ve been to this location twice — used to go to Livonia but recently moved to this side of town. The first time was with coworkers and the service was a little slow, but meal was delicious. I got the wood-grilled chicken sandwich with mashed sweet potato and it came with a plantain chip too. The second time was today, for a tasting of sorts, and we got to try all different appetizers plus their new drinks. The Painkiller drink is awesome and doesn’t even taste like it has alcohol in it, but definitely packs a punch. My favorite of the appetizers were the Jamaican chicken wings, which have a kick to the mall but aren’t too spicy, the onion rings, and the beef empanadas, although I have had the chicken empanadas before and liked them a little bit better. I’ve also had their chips and salsa before and even though I’m not a big salsa fan, I love how fresh it tasted. I would come back to this Bahama Breeze again and maybe try the Bahamarita drink and some of the appetizers during their happy hour, they’re half-off then and drinks are reduced too. They also have a new late night happy hour from 9pm to close, Sun-Thurs only though.
