First time trying this place. Needed something quick and cheap for a Friday night. I got calamari and chicken wings. The calamari was okay. Can’t understand why some places only cook it until the breading is just soggy. One of the best things for calamari is for it to have a crisp to it to play off the texture of the squid. This was not crispy at all. Maybe the breading? I don’t know. Anyway, I also got some chicken wings. One lost star for using really small chicken wings. I will add stars just for using JUMBO wings that fill you up like a meal. These things were tiny. And much like the calamari — soggy and not crisp. Both of these fried items had the same taste undertone of oil that had been used too long. It gives it that common flavor tone that is just off putting. I liken it to drinking milk that is just about to go bad. You know it’s still drinkable, but can tell for sure it’s on it’s way out. This review is inly a first timer for now. I will re-review after trying pizza/calzone/pasta next time I need something quick and cheap. Hopefully it can turn up your star count!

The food sucks I ordered a garlic bread… the bread was chewy and hard… I had the throw it away… the cheese steak… was like put meat onion mushom and cheese… and once again the bread was hard and chewy… lesson learned never again and they took over an entire hour… like really… good luck.

Decent wings and motz sticks… Square pizza often done extremely sloppy and careless

I’ve decided to finally review this Inferno after ordering from here twice. And if Unilocal mobil would let me give a half star rating, it’d be more fitting. Overall rating is a 2.5. Online ordering gets a 0. It sucks, no other way to explain it. When you order online, it instantly entitles them to take up to an hour and a half to deliver. And when they finally arrive, they just throw the food at you and leave. And somehow, they forget the pizza the past two times. The first time they forgot the pizza, they brought us a cold one. This time, we were given a burnt pizza. Food generally isn’t bad. I’ve always liked their wings and generally the pizza is ok. But being a Colonie girl, I have to side with Little Anthony’s on making a better pizza. I’ll try Inferno one more time, but will probably pass on online ordering.

Their Mozzarella sticks are amazing. We’ve gotten pizza a few times, and for the most part it’s pretty good. Would suggest using coupons.

Underrated? Understated? Try under flavored. The crust is completely insipid. The texture is okay, nothing remarkable, but the crust has the flavor of flour and that is it. The sauce is okay; very sweet, but rather nondescript. Its also expensive. Delivery takes 45 mins or more, every time, no matter when you order. They make good roasted peppers but rob you at $ 7 for a tin and the quality of the preparation of the peppers is inconsistent at best. It isn’t worth the calories to me to eat Inferno, but I do from time to time because Red Front isn’t always open and isn’t open late ;-(

I too agree about the underratedness. At this rate it won’t be underrated long!

I *completely* agree w/the previous reviewer who said that Inferno is one of the most underrated pizza places in Troy; I’d actually expand that to include all of the Capital District!(I also agree that the relative obscurity of Inferno is probably due to its less-than-central location on Campbell Ave.) The subs are great, the pizza’s great, and it all reminds me of the food back in Utica, which –for all the latter city’s faults– is effing OUTSTANDING. Seriously, Inferno is definitely worth the drive to grab a slice or a sandwich, and if you happen to live in Troy, give ‘em a ring for delivery! Good stuff!

Inferno Pizzeria has to be one of the most understated pizzerias in the Troy area. Unfortunately, it is easy to see why. As far as their food goes, the quality is impeccable; it is better than I Love NY and significantly better than Big Apple Pizza. Unlike its neighborhood counterparts, Inferno Pizzeria also has wonderful sandwiches and dishes as well. Their entire menu is displayed on a wonderfully constructed website. Despite its good food, the only way a person will ever know about Inferno Pizzeria is if 1) someone told you about it 2) you stumbled upon the place while driving towards Wal-Mart. The pizzeria is a homely little shack nestled away on a small back road, away from civilization. It really sad if you think about, actually.
