My main takeaway from eating here: If the word «cookin’» is in the title of a restaurant, then the food will definitely NOT be home cookin’.
The service was very friendly and our server was new (and confused) but very sweet. The coleslaw on the buffet tasted fishy which caused me to totally lose my appetite.
All of the «home cooking» veggies come from cans…
This place will do if you’re in a hurry, but the Cracker Barrel across the street would probably be a better choice.

Located right off highway 81 at exit 150A. It doesn’t look like much at first BUT the food was great, service efficient, restrooms clean and staff was friendly, all for an unbelievably reasonable price. Most definitely worth the stop. We will stop again on our way through for sure. I highly recommend this place if what you want is good food.

My family and I stopped in here for a meal on our road trip from Tennessee to Philadelphia. We were pleasantly surprised at the friendly service. Although we were not aware that it was a buffet style restaurant, I’m glad we stopped in here because all 4 of us wanted something different, which made deciding on one place to eat difficult.
Country Cookin’ had something for everyone, and as an added bonus, the restrooms were clean :-)

Bourbon chicken is delicious. Salad bar is fresh. Rolls and apple butter are dangerously yummy. Service is excellent.

Where to begin, if this is home cookin it is not any home I have been in. On the menu for steaks the cook to temp is medium well and well done. So. Needless to say that was a concern. So I avoided the direct menu meats.
I am presently attempting to stomach a brisket with baked potato. Let’s say the brisket won’ have to worry about being ranked highly at a BBQ contest. the baked potato is decent.
Next avoid the salad bar portion of the veg buffet. Lettuce being served brown questionable other veg. The corn is okay the green beans are over cooked from a can. Maybe that is like home for you or others just not me.
The dessert bar is nothing you can’t miss. Because you can get from the grocery store.
The only redeeming value is pleasant wait staff.

Fairly clean with a decent buffet, but not very high nutritional value of food (if you are a health-​conscious eater). Avoid the Wrangler Steak… perfect place to eat if you’re looking for quantity over quality!

Uh, it’s a buffet. Would have avoided the place if we’d known that. It’s not a bad buffet and it’s only for sides and desserts but, it’s still a buffet.
Service was great — friendly and attentive staff.
Still a buffet, though. Some good sides, a nice salad bar and some pretty, sad desserts. My husband had the grilled meatloaf and it was tasty.
Obviously I’m anti-​buffet (ya think??) so take my review with a grain of salt. If you’re on a bus with a team of football players, it’s a great option!

This is a tad hidden off the road but very much worth the time to find to eat. The prices are low and the staff is very friendly. But best of all the food is wonderful and you get more food then you could eat!!!
