Yes. Yes yes yes. This tiny stand is next to a campground and is totally worth the quick jaunt over from the interstate. Order from the friendly fellow (he cooks all the food himself) at the window and eat at a picnic table on the patio or on a bench overlooking the river. My husband ordered the chowder, which he devoured. Fresh smoked fish and great spices. As a vegetarian, my choices were limited but I was very pleased with the fresh before burger, to which the cook so kindly added mushrooms, garlic and peppers. HIGHLY recommended.

Great snack shop. We did a 30 mile hilly bike ride and stopped here after for Mark’s famous seafood chowder. It was delicious hot and hit the spot. I want to get the pulled pork next time I’m out here. Mark is a nice helpful guy. The place is clean and well kept. Love the picnic tables and view of the river. I saw a blue heron fly in and land on the river rocks while we had lunch.
It would be easy to go for a walk down to the Sandy River if you wanted to. Nice trails.

A small quaint place. Yes the cheese is American but who cares when you have that smoked meatloaf? Mark is extremely friendly and willing to make the order the way you need or want it. It’s the prefect stop after a long walk along Sandy river. If you’re looking for some fulfilling food and pleasant banter, this is the place.

A local hidden treasure in Troutdale! Places like Marks are what make Oregon so fabulous. I highly recommend making a stop here. In fact, I recommend absolutely going out of your way to get here! I loved my smoked meatloaf sandwich that you made just how I like it! Mark offers so many amazing options at such a reasonable price. I’m coming back for the local, fresh caught, in house smoked salmon! Just amazing, amazing, amazing.

Nice service, but forgot the lettuce on my turkey sandwich. Cheese is American (fake) cheese. We did not get any ice cream. The latte was Luke warm. Out of our way, will probably not return.

Absolutely amazing food and service!!! I’m a vegetarian and Mark cooked up a special plate of sautéed vegetables and avocado just for me!!! So incredibly good!!! And the potato salad is the BEST!!! Mark is so nice and very knowledgable about the food he cooks! I highly recommend this place!!!
