My father was just buried here in October. From the day after he was buried to now we have had nothing but problems with the landscapers. They don’t respect the deceased or their families. They pick up and take just anything off the grave. It’s impossible to keep even flowers there. The flowers he was buried with were taken off his grave the next day. If you speak to the landscapers to get anything back they are incredibly rude and disrespectful. They speak to you in a manner and tone that says you’re wasting their time and don’t care. My mother had put down fake flowers in mid to late December and they were recently taken yet IT’S ONLYTHEBEGINNINGOFFEBRUARY! Fake flowers are suppose to be allowed until March. When my mother called to speak with them for the hundredth time she spoke to a man named George. He’s suppose to be a supervisor for the landscapers and all he had to say to her was, «they were ugly and disgusting» so he threw them away. These flowers were FAKE basic red and white flowers that were only out there for a little over a month so please tell me how they were«ugly and disgusting.» As I said they are extremely disrespectful and it’s shocking how this man, George, has a job especially at a cemetary where families are grieving with him telling them that flowers they put down are«disgusting.» This cemetary would be a nice place to lay your loved ones to rest if it weren’t for the landscapers. Not all of them are bad and disrespeful but that doesn’t make up for the majority that are and the supervisor that encourages those attitudes with one of his own. If you can bury your loved ones at Arlington National Cemetery or some other respectful cemetary I would highly recommend you do that. The only respect and love you’re apparently allowed to show to the dead is visiting them.

The staff here are very professional and caring. If you are a vet of any service any where in the world, please come to see this National shrine. You do not need a reservation or an invite. Take care and Unilocal on.

Went to the Quantico National Cemetery to volunteer and help discard of Christmas Wreaths from the grave sites. Amazing and well maintained site. Everything about this place was great from the perfectly manicured lawn to the ease of traffic. One notable gravesite is Louis R. Lowery, a World War II Marine combat photographer, took the picture of the first U.S. flag rising on top of Iwo Jima’s Mount Suribachi in 1945. The flag was said to be the first U.S. flag flown over Japanese territory in World War II. He was interred on April 1, 1987, Section 1, Gravesite 6422. There is also a very useful feature in the admin building. A Kiosk, which is an electronic gravesite locator, is in the breezeway of the administration building. The grave locator is available to the public daily from sunrise to sunset.

Wow. This cemetery is absolutely beautiful. My grandfather is buried here, and for Father’s Day, it was only appropriate to pay him a visit since my family and I were in the area. It is located on land that was part of the USMC training base adjacent to Quantico in Prince William County, Va. This land has been used by the military for over 200 years. The grounds are perfect. The welcome center at the entrance has a quick and easy kiosk to find whomever you are paying respect to. There really isn’t much to say about a cemetery, but this one is special for our veterans.

Beautiful grounds. Also near Quantico Marine Corps Base and the FBI Academy. Huge area. FYI: Expect to get little to no phone reception here… lots of towers around… probably top secret government equipment blocking signals! :)

My grandfather is buried here. It is very clean, well organized and a beautiful place for a loved one to forever rest. I’m not sure much else needs to be said about a cemetery than that. Other than, it is also a historic place to visit if you don’t have anyone resting here.
