Whenever I’m in Trenton I gotta get my fill with this Italian Sandwich. Their cheese takes it over the top.

Mom and pop Italian eatery with amazing food and personality to go with it. It consists of a stand up counter and small adjacent dining area but don’t let looks fool you. I’m an out of state business traveler and have fallen in love with this small eatery and seriously get take out here at least 3 – 4 times a week. If you’re looking for authentic, hearty Italian specialties I suggest you give this place a try m. You will NOT regret it!

This is the way pizza tastes in Italy. Perfecto.

Well first the service was terrible. They have no selection of pizza. It was nothing like NY pizza and this is Jersey. The pizza literally fell apart when you picked it up. I’ve had better pizza in South Carolina. This is probably why the place was empty on a Friday night. Terrible place overall.

Cane here on reviews alone, to give this place its fair shake. Didn’t disappoint. Got a to go order, wings and a cheesesteak. It was good, even a half hour later. The wings still crispy and seasoned, my cheesesteak was as good as any over had in the area. The guy behind the counter was really cool. Coming back for the pizza though.

Came in around 7pm for dinner. Service was simple and quick. Pizza was adequately good, especially considering the price. 7 bucks for two slices and a coke is pretty good! Beware that this establishment does NOT sell beer and wine, contrary to its Unilocal listing. It’s byob.

I found this place by accident while here in Trenton on business. My first time I tried the Italian Sub which was flawless. Superbly done. I tried the pizza the next time and it was wonderful. I go here every time I’m here on business and highly recommend it. The family that runs it has put their heart and soul into the place. The food is fabulous and really priced well. There isn’t a higher grade I could give them. You can’t go wrong here.

This is EXACTLY the type of place you expect to get an amazing slice of pizza or in our case an awesome cheese steak. It’s a mom & pop shop that has been around over 30 yrs, no frills, no soda machine and… dare I say it… the owner serves you in REAL ceramic plates! :gasps: I came for a quick bite, having heard from locals that the pizza here is good, and as I walked, 2 giant sandwiches passed right under my nose which made me salivate for more carbs than I originally anticipated. I ordered a cheese steak that and my fiancé(and Philly native) who never walks away from the word«cheese steak» changed his mind from a slice to a meatier option as well. The guy behind the counter advised us to pay $ 1.50 more for a Large to split so we did. We waited a few minutes and this MASSIVE cheese steak came steaming out of the kitchen! The bread was so delicious and fresh, that I would’ve eaten that alone, but thankfully it was filled with nice amounts of meat, peppers, onions and mushrooms. We each had halves and were stuffed! Then as we went over to pay the gentleman behind the counter(clearly family) got into some small talk with us that led us to sharing stories about past trips to Italy and speaking real Italian. Needless to say, I left feeling like I had come to Stella’s my entire life and will definitely be returning.

I used to work nearby a few years ago. Although I have long gone from my former place of employment I still come to Stella’s. Not for the Pizza which is really good I must say… but for the Hoagies or Hero’s as we called them in the old country(Brooklyn). The bread is what makes the sandwich far more superior than any other place I have tried. It is always super fresh and soft and doughy… in a good way! This is a 20 minute drive I am taking people so you know it’s gotta be good! The family that owns it is always so nice and friendly. Even when I told them while having a bit of small talk how far I come they were surprised. The sandwich IS just that good. I love their mozzarella sticks too. I have heard great things about their buffalo wings too… they are too hot for me but I must admit I am a punk when it comes to heat. It is just a great lil’ Mom & Pop place!

Stella’s Pizza has been at this location on Scotch Road for more than 30 years, but this was my first visit. The impression is of an old style pizzeria with a side dining area. When I arrived for a late lunch, Stella herself was sitting there having lunch and chatting with a customer. I ordered an Eggplant Parm sandwich after seeing another sandwich order come out of the kitchen on a great looking torpedo roll. It arrived at my table a few minutes later, nicely toasted and so inviting. The bread comes from Italian Peoples’ Bakery, and has that signature crispy crunch that is the beginning of a satisfying meal. The eggplant was thin sliced, finely breaded and pan fried with minimal oil residue. The tomato sauce was lightly salty, adding to the very positive overall experience. All good. While the facility could use an updating, the quality of the food is very good, and the prices a throwback to about 1990. $ 6.50 for a 9″ hot hoagie sandwich seems like an incredible deal, especially given the quality of the product. It is easy to enjoy stepping back in time to an earlier day when a family operated restaurant meant the family was everywhere in the shop; cooking, cleaning, hosting, and just hanging out on breaks to talk with people. I love the coziness that creates. None of this would work if the food was not good, but it is. So, it will be easy to return to try the other offerings, especially the pizza, and learn more about Stella, her family, and the history of a typical old fashioned family resto.

I started working in the area about three months ago. When working in a new area it is always my top priority to find the best go-to pizza place because I eat pizza at least 2 – 3 days per week for lunch. Its important to me. Stella’s is the best straight up pizza in the area. Thin crust, crunchy, good sauce, good cheese, good price. These people take pride in their pizza and it shows.

The best real pizza I’ve had in Ewing. When I lived there I had one of their ample, greasy slices at least once a week. It can be inconsistent — sometimes it’s just above average — but sometimes it’s as good a slice you could possibly wish for. If you’re looking for a sandwich forget the gross sandwich franchise across the parking lot, just get your lunch here.

Basic inexpensive fast italian food. Pizzas and hoagies. I loved the food and the Mom & Pop appearance of the restaurant. Cash only.

The most surprising thing about this place is that no one has reviewed it yet. It’s your standard pizzeria. They make pretty decent subs as well. Very reasonably priced and they only take cash. No delivery. Good option to have in the neighborhood, especially if you don’t wanna spend $ 10 for a sub next door. Man I need to stop eating subs everyday…
