Got a pre made salad with ham and turkey it was good. Also got mac and cheese with some of there homemade hotdogs. The dogs are good but I would skip the mac. Looked like they had a good butcher shop. I would go back.

While I was in town on business I saw Swiches on Unilocal,so I thought I would check it out, and I’m very glad I did. Every once in awhile, I am blown away by a sandwich. At Swiches, the Phoenix sandwich was off the wall good. Great mixture of flavors and textures, and the bread was killer. I loved the pickled carrot garnish so much I bought a jar to take home with me. If I ever make it back to TVC, I will absolutely return.

Sandwiches and quesadillas are amazing but their pizza is close to the best in town and that’s coming from a local.

My go to staple is the Italian Ghostrider Sandwich. Once again, they have surpassed my expectations! Brought a friend who throughly enjoyed their chicken sandwich and will be adding this to their list of favorites in the TC area! Has to be the BEST Sandwich Shop in Northern MI!

One of our favorites! Friendly staff, amazing food that is always fresh. The broomstick is my favorite, but I’ve never been disappointed with anything. Highly recommend!!!

One of traverse citys best kept secrets, switches deli is a very unique lunch destination: their menu is named after mythical, magical and halloween items which makes it a delight for fans of cosplay and harry potter :) besides that, the menu is amazing and everything tastes wonderful, from their freshly prepared sandwichs and pizza to their amazing fresh fruit smoothies. If you have a lunch break, i suggest you try out switches: i’ve been a long-time customer just for the smoothies alone

I have been here several times and have always had the Scare Crow. See, I am a reuben slut and this is their version of a reuben. I was, the first time, a bit thrown by the fact that it is not served on rye bread. But since I had already sorted through the menu and decided on this sandwich, I just panicked and stuck with it even after I was given this unfortunate news. However, I really loved it and have had about 6 of them since then. But one particularly hot day, I went there with plans to eat outside and I didn’t think that a pile of corned beef and kraut sounded very summery. So, I opted for the Dirty Birdy and I don’t think I’ll be getting off this train for a while. Holy lord is that a good sandwich. In a town full of good sammies, this place seems to be a «can’t miss» kind of joint.

I will definitely be coming back here. They have an array of hot and cold sandwiches. They also carry a lot of local foods. Nestled in downtown, this place will cater as well. Try the number 1(minus roast beef and then add turkey!)

Staff was very welcoming. Go to the back of the restaurant to order then wait for your food. Healthy food options. Nice country atmosphere. The pickled carrots were interesting but I left them on my plate. Great saltine crackers!

Ordered the scarecrow and the crazy cow sandwiches — both delicious. Generous amounts of meat. Potato and feta soup was delicious. Would definitely return — would like try everything on their menu!

I am a meat lover, but I fell in love with the Broom Stick veggie sandwich. It had fantastic textures and was delicious. The Killa Dillas looked amazing, as did the other sandwiches. The bread had a nice crust, but was soft in the inside. I’d definitely stop here for a sandwich in Traverse City.

Swiches is my favorite TC sandwich spot! The broomstick is my go to and I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, polite and the service is prompt. I wish they were open later on Saturday and on Sunday, but it is Traverse City. I highly recommend Swiches!

Great stop. Shared a #5 and #10. Big surprise on the pickled carrot on the side. Loved that much more than the boring spear pickle that usually comes with a deli sandwich. Will be back.

Oh yumminess. I was not in a sandwich mood, blasphemy, I know. Another time. So, instead I had some brown rice california rolls(thanks, sushi craving finally satisfied, for now) and a small container for the salad bar. I like the salad bar alot, my only suggestion request for the future(maybe they have this on other days, I dunno) Sesame dressing, and maybe sunflower seeds. Otherwise, I like the atmosphere, parents not controlling their children notwithstanding. Ahem. Its okay when they are cute, haha. I hope to return and try a sandwich in the future. Cheers.

I just realized I’ve taken about 4 photos of my Windmill sandwich all on different occasions. I like Swiches that much.

By far my favorite stop for lunch downtown. I have no idea what the theme for the décor is, and that had to be my only gripe. I had assumed Halloween/Witch themed, but there are random country or woodland themed items thrown in. Whatever, not a big deal. The food is fantastic. Always prepared quickly, always super tasty. I’ve been coming here since theyve opened and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The deli sandwiches and salads in the colter are a great grab and go, but they have a great selection of candy and snacks. The salad bar is great, too. Get the Windmill. You won’t regret it.

I have just recently had the pleasure of enjoying an «Italian Ghost Rider» at Swiches Deli. It is built with your usual for an Italian sandwich. You have your ham, pepperoni, salami, tomato, lettuce, banana peppers, Italian dressing. Okay here comes the variation, it has both pepper jack and cheddar cheese. Most common Italians just have that white cheese. Now here is what REALLY makes this sandwich special. The bread. Made fresh on the premises. Oh so soft and yummy. They take the bottom with all the«hot» toppings and using a panini press cook it to golden perfection. The top is left soft so it doesn’t cut up the inside of your mouth. Add the fresh ingredients then slap the two halves together and presto. Perfect portion size, enough to fill you up but not so much that you feel stuffed. I have also had the opportunity to try a slice of pizza. The sauce makes it. Nice and tangy. Defiantly not something you will find in a can. Salad bar looks interesting but I have not have the opportunity to try it yet.

Hands down one of the best sandwich and pizza shops here in TC! You’ll find a great little restaurant which offers amazing sandwiches, quesadillas, salads and pizzas off their menu. There is a very unique twist on common sandwiches and other menu items using ingredient combinations you would not have previously thought of. The portions are moderate and wont leave you thinking you were undercut. They also offer many«foodie» type items right near the register including chips and dips and other party/gathering must haves. You’ll be able to find a great selection of beer and wine but not for consumption on site at the restaurant. The very first item I ever had off the menu was a pizza called the Bat Wing. It’s basically a buffalo chicken wing dish twisted around and made into a pizza. The crust was a thinner crust(thank you fellow thin crust lovers) corn meal dusted thing of beauty. The pizza had buffalo style sauce with chicken and cheese as well as tiny slices of celery on top. There is also a drizzle of ranch dressing over the pizza. Let me put it to you this way, out of all the pizza I’ve ever had here in TC I called Swiches Deli back after only having 1-PIECE to tell them it was the best in town. After trying many of their sandwiches I’m also very please to have the same thoughts. The pricing is very fair and it’s hard not to buy other«foodie» items that are in the store to either take home or enjoy with your meal. Do not pass this new restaurant up!
