Great restaurant if you’re in the mood for healthy all natural food. Yes vegans or carnivores like me. I was so in the mood for a green juice drink and luckily this place uses all organic veggies and fruits not a combination. A bit more pricey but I felt good that I was feeding my body real food. I also ordered the special which was a black bean soup with chili, all vegan I believe. It was very good overall but a little on the salty side. I enjoyed the up north wooden yet somewhat contemporary enough wooden walls and floors. Service was pleasant and well timed. Would definitely go back for the all organic green juice or maybe even get an extra juice to go. Probably even order a vegan meal! I have a pic of the juices they carry.

Beautiful, tasty and healthy! Each of my family members ordered something different for lunch and all of us cleaned our plates. We can never resist their fresh juice(grapefruit-basil is our go-to). We stopped by one day and loved it so much, we came back the next! Service was a little slow, but worth it. They even sent me home with their side pickles bcuz I loved them so much. I don’t usually order a salad because they are so easy to make at home, but I was glad I did… very fresh, with variety and great dressing. My daughter is vegan and she loved her orders too.

We were looking for a Vegetarian restaurant in the Traverse City area and this popped the top list on Unilocal. We read the reviews and liked the menu. We dined in for Brunch on a Sunday early afternoon(patio seating). The server was very helpful and patient at first(asked her a lot of questions on the meals and the drinks). We needed a couple more minutes to decide. She was very kind and cool with it. My husband wanted fresh pressed juice which they have a separate menu. He got the Super Green which was $ 9.00 and he ordered the Eggs Benedict-veggie sausage, avocado, poached organic eggs, English muffin, greek yogurt hollandaise, house salad, raw cider vinegar $ 10.00. I got the Frittata– egg omelet(onions and mushrooms) topped with spring mix salad and tomatoes. $ 9.00. We got our meals and my Frittata was good(not greasy). It needed some type of seasoning. It tasted blah. My husband thought his meal was«ok» and was looking for salt and pepper. We didn’t have any at our table. Plus he didn’t get his dressing. We also were looking for our server and couldn’t find her. She didn’t check to see if we liked our meals or wanted a refill on our waters. My husband had to settle without it and was unhappy. 20 minutes rolled by and still no server. By then, we wanted our check. She finally came and gave our bill. Thank god we had cash because I didn’t want to wait again. I thought I would’ve loved this place. I guess I thought wrong. The restaurant itself had an awesome atmosphere and a nice selection of meals to choose from. If I had to give it a second chance, I would return for lunch. I don’t see my husband coming back and joining me.

We enjoyed a nice breeze and seating on their outdoor patio for drinks and an app. The 2 Lads Vineyard 2011 Pinot Grigio was a favorite and the Greek Plate had a nice variety of options but the cashew cheese left something to be desired. Everything on the menu sounds delicious, I would definitely like to go back and try more options!

Great food takes time. When you get to your table, this is the warning you are prompted with. I really do believe that this is true. The fantastic food at the Om Café takes time to prepare. It is well worth your wait. In a hurry? Just let your server know what kind of time frame you’re looking at, they’ll work with you. This was a difficult menu for me to choose from. They have a variety of dishes that are inspired by different cultures, it was hard to choose. I started with a Mexican appetizer and had an Asian entrée. Both plates blew me away. My friend got the mushroom burger that was amazing and juicy. Bit of warning, the chips served on the side can be a bit hard to chew. The red one was hard as a rock. I think it’s because they are all different kinds of veggies turned into chips.

What a find! Get outside of downtown TC, a short walk and worth it. This is an amazing place. My daughter and I shared a delightful avocado dish for an appetizer. For our meals, I had the Warm Potato Arugula Salad and my daughter had the Cremini Burger. Both were amazing. Everything was perfectly prepared and very flavorful. The arugula was perfectly fresh, the egg was a wonderful complement, and the potatoes were light and flavorful addition. My daughter was not able to finish her burger, but loved every bite. She even took the rest home for later. This is a wonderful TC find. Even if your not a vegan, veg, or macro, this is a must visit. The service was excellent, very kind, and energetic. The atmosphere was causal and very welcoming. We look forward to returning.

Vegan sammies + juice(the creamsicle, which is #4) were OH so good. Combined its the perfect lunch portion. No wait for a late lunch… and the space inside looks amazing, wish we could have been there when it was all finished and put together. There is a private lot, so don’t waste time away from this delicious food by street parking and walking(like we did)!

I want to kiss this place on the mouth. Have been dying to go to the ferndale location, but was in TC this weekend and saw that they had one, too. YAY! I went for saturday brunch with my boyfriend and we sat outside. Not a big patio or particularly cute out there, but still nice. The inside is very cute, and the bar area looks like the exact kind of bar I would want to go to– vintagey kind of an intellectual vibe with cute couches and a good amount(but not too much!) of standing room. Anyway, onto the food. I ordered the crimini burger with the side salad instead of the veggie chips. It was cold, but i think this may have been on purpose. Either way, it was hearty and mushy on the inside crunchy on the outside, just like I like it! The whole grain bun was not very grainy(they may have accidentally given me the gf version) but it was delicious anyway. Also, it was served with these INCREDIBLE little new dil pickle slices that blew me away. Kinda sweet with a kick and just delicious and totally unexpected. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict and really enjoyed it. I really can’t wait to go back and try literally everything I can get my hands on. I was very impressed, and as a new vegan it was almost overwhelming to have so many choices! I am very much looking forward to eating my leftovers tomorrow:) Great service, too! You can tell they live the life.

Amazing! Fresh, light food that helped me stick to a vegan diet while on vacation. I liked the Greek plate so much I ordered another one for tomorrow’s breakfast(I know it’s weird but I don’t think I’ll be able to wait til lunch). We had that for an app, and then I had Buddhist Priest with brown rice and tofu. It was so good! They have great kid’s options and my husband had a flatbread pizza he really liked. To top it off, the atmosphere here is beautiful and classy. We will be back next time we visit!

I wish I could give The Om more stars than 5! It’s so exciting to have fresh food in Traverse City, there aren’t a lot of healthy options as far as food goes here in town and now that they have organic pressed juices I will be visiting almost daily! The mushroom burger is off the charts, it’s a must try! I also love the avocado maki and their fresh garden salad. I eat here about 4 times a week so I guess you could call me a groupie :) Call me what you want… I just can’t get enough of their goodnessQ

Beautiful space with a diverse menu. All of the dishes are fresh and light, and well priced, an excellent brunch/lunch spot. I loved my TLT, reminded me of some my favorite sandwiches from my meat eating days. Attentive servers. Try the natural sodas and lemonade in mason jars too.

Nearly all of the items on the menu of this casual sit-down restaurant are vegan or vegan optional. After eating here, I would also say the food isn’t just plant-based but healthy as well, earning it 5 stars in my book. My group of four tried different things and most were tasty, one a bit bland without the dairy, and the soup special of the day(purple potato kale) was loaded with garlic. Our waitress was very knowledgeable regarding how the food was prepared, so ask if you have any questions. If they have the Raspberry Ginger Cobbler for dessert(a changing daily menu) I recommend it as a great light and fresh option to close your meal. My group was full after our entrees so we all split one dessert :)

This is definitely my new favorite place in Traverse City! This is the kind of food I love and I am so glad there is a place where I can get light, fresh, vegetarian food in a beautiful atmosphere! Not that I don’t love all of Traverse City’s other gret restaurants but this one was so refreshing after a weekend of indulgence. Daunted by the line at Patisserie Amie, my parents and I just happened to wander in Om Café as a second choice, and I am so glad we did. The space is bright, airy, and spacious. Live music(at brunch!) put is in a relaxing mood. Is there a yoga studio in the back? I wouldn’t be surprised. The whole restaurant has a meditative vibe. I started with a beautiful pot of green tea — easily could be shared between two people but also could give one person a very generous few mugfuls. Speaking of mugs, all of our mugs were different and quirky, like they’d been bought by the owners and random stops on a cross country road trip. Mom and I split the Buddhist Priest stir fry with tofu and udon noodles, since they were out of soba. It was so nice and so fresh, loaded with veggies and not oversauced. Maybe an odd brunch choice, but it was so delicious. The fresh fruit we split was actually seasonal fruit — berries and whatnot — instead of just the usual melon slices. I would love to come back for another meal or two next time I’m in TC for the Film Festival. If you’ve been having lots of big, indulgent meals while in TC, this is the perfect antidote and it will suck you back in for a repeat visit! You definitely don’t need to be a vegetarian to appreciate the good stuff they make here.

We came here with our two kids(age 6 and 4) recently. My husband is an ex-vegan, and a couple of years ago we would have been thrilled to find a decent vegetarian place in northern Michigan, or anywhere in the Midwest. Overall the food was good but quite pricy for what you got. I expected anything with«café» in the title wouldn’t be too formal, but it was a bit classier than I expected. The décor was lovely — high ceilings, exposed beams, white couches. If it had been a bit warmer we could have sat outside, which have been better for the kids, but it felt upscale enough that I felt self-conscious having brought them there. They do have a kids menu and some kid-friendly items, however. Our kids split the pesto pizza, and seemed to enjoy it(except for the goat cheese, which I ate). I ended up paying about $ 15 for the Buddhist Priest stir fry with soba noodles and seitan. I would have been very happy with it for about $ 8 – 10. For $ 15 I’d hope for more than two pea pods, two pieces of broccoli, etc. And maybe some ginger or something to spice it up a bit? It was tasty, but I was hoping for something a bit more special. My husband got the fish tostada, which he said was good(I didn’t really get a taste in) but he also noted the lack of spice in the beans — maybe some garlic or something is in order? He had a $ 9 glass of local wine which wasn’t very good. We’ve definitely had better Michigan wine so that was a disappointment. I hate leaving a restaurant feeling stuffed, but we were both hungry afterwards! We were curious to try the scallops and grits but at $ 26 it was a bit more than we had planned on spending. If I were to go again, I’d instead check out the happy hour with $ 5 drinks and small plates. Overall, it’s a nice atmospheric place for adults, with lots of healthy food choices, but I doubt we’ll be back for dinner anytime soon.

I was playing a show in Traverse City and was happy to see a vegan place close to the theater. I was in sort of a hurry so I ordered the first thing that jumped out at me: Buddhist Priest Stir-Fry with Udon and Seitan. It tasted fresh and light — not at all salty and greasy like stir-fries usually are. It was just big enough to want to take some of it home. The waitress recommended the root tea(not sure what it was called,) and I’m glad I had some: earthy and full-bodied, slightly bitter but refreshing. If I’m ever in Traverse City again, I will come back to try more of the menu.

I wouldn’t go here to «have a pint», but I would if I wanted to relax and enjoy some excellent(and healthy) food. After listening to their soothing music and feeling the effects of their hip, mellow vibe I was feeling ready to tackle the rest of the day! I was already very stressed from traveling and this was the perfect place to stop and take a break. They pretty much perfected the décor and the mood, and the food is no let down either. I had their mushroom burger with a side salad and it was delicious. They really did perfect the balance of flavors. It’s such a delicate balance that I was rating them 4⁄5 for food until I added the dressing to the salad and it was an instant 5⁄5.

You absolutely must order the Corn Adzuki Bean Cakes as an appetizer. They will melt your mind they’re so delicious. Seriously. My wife and I went here for dinner and were blown away. It was one of those meals where every course — the appetizer, entrée, dessert — was so good that when it arrived we no longer wanted to talk. We’d share approving glances from across the table while devouring each dish. Outstanding selection of local beer and wine. Our server was friendly and helpful. Water glasses were constantly kept full. Om Café makes me want to move to Traverse City so I can eat here all the time.

I’ve been really slacking on my vegan diet. Perhaps it’s because I genuinely enjoy meat, or maybe because there are limited options in Northern Michigan. Nevertheless, I’ve been trying my best since May to shop locally and eat as healthy as possible– enter, Om Café! I finally came here for lunch with my die hard vegan friend. She got me hooked on a(mostly) vegan diet, which she started almost 2 years ago. She told me about the Om in Ferndale since she lives in Ann Arbor and frequents many delicious vegan establishments. I was excited to check out our very own version of Om in Traverse City. First off, I love the re-do. What was once the Loading Dock is now a vintagey-yet-modern interior with a lounge area and booths along the wall where the bar once was. It’s open but homey– my coffee arrived in a home style mug with the letter«A» and an apple on it, feeling very much like an old friend brought me my brew. We ordered the spring rolls to start, which arrived at the blink of an eye. Our server informed us the sriracha was from LA. I believe that. We had a hard time picking lunch entrees, since everything looked interesting. I make a lot of quinoa at home so I didn’t order the salad, though I think I’ll give it a go next time. Sooo I finally opted on the BBQ sandwich and J got the TLT– both had great flavor, even the bread was superb. My sandwich even came with a stern ear of corn and a salad. Good combo. I’ll definitely be back. There’s outside seating, too– so I better hit it while the sun is still shining and before the fall leaves turn.
