Everything about our dinner here was top notch. The food was amazing — the blend of cheeses and spices in the pasta and chicken was spot on. The service was very prompt and very friendly, but not overbearing. The atmosphere was very cool and upscale. Would have never guessed how nice it was based on the building outside. Will definitely be back!

The Spaghetti and meatballs came with ONE meatball with the taste of old seasonings. Shrimp Alfredo had the taste of boiled water and Cesar salad(main course) was the size for a child size. The waitress(today) was snappy and not helpful.

Happen to stumble across this restaurant and glad I did. The food was delicious but the service from Dave was top notch. You cannot beat a great meal and great service. We’ll be back when I return to Traverse City.

The service was really nice and fast. Our server got all the food out to us fast and refilled the drinks constantly. The glasses here are really small but the dinner portions are filling.

This was hard to rate because there are many things we liked and some things we didn’t like On the plus side my Manhattan and husband’s martini were perfect. The caprese appetizer was excellent — cheese obviously made fresh. We split beet appetizer and that too was good– but could’ve used walnuts or something for added flavor. The entrees– my husband had veal piccatta. Very flavorful but the veal was swimming in the lemon sauce. A little goes a long way. The linguini was great. I had chicken marsala. Not many mushrooms but fusili noodles were tasty. When food arrived a different server asked if we wanted pepper or parmesan on our entrees. My husband said no. I said yes. I told her mine was the chicken — she mixed them. up and put pepper and cheese. She didn’t apologize and set entrees down. Service was timely but felt very rushed. There were only two servers but they seemed anxious. It was not crowded. Noise could really be a problem if it was packed. The entrees are pricey and I felt the two big tvs with baseball and football distracting. The waitress didn’t ask if we wanted wine with dinner. There’s money to be made on alcohol! The waitress did not ask if we wanted dessert but we did order cannolis. There was a great list of desserts all homemade that sounded delicious. The cannolis were excellent.

After a long tiring day in sleeping bear sand dunes, starving, we were looking for a place good for food and our baby(4 months old) in a stroller. We found This place beautiful as you enter with wooden floors all over, one lady came in and considering the stroller with us, she took us to a corner table where it was spacious enough for the stroller as well. We felt relaxed in the dim light and soft music playing in background, clean shiny table tops and comfortable seats. Then the waitress came taking no time delivered us the food. Food from the start(bread with olive oil dip) till the dessert(tiramisu) was just«awesome». We all loved all of them. Spinach artichoke dip with flatbread, very crispy flatbreads warm and fresh and the dip right out from the oven was great to start with. Then we ordered our main course. I ordered Alfredo primavera and it was hot as made fresh at home and very tasty. Felt satisfied and delighted to eat it. My husband ordered carbonara with chicken and he couldn’t stop eating until he finished it all. My mother had ordered eggplant parmesiano and it was all hot as if was made to order right on to the table from the pan. Very tasty it was too. Portions are big enough to satisfy an adult male. I had to get my box home. It was so good, I couldn’t let go. Waitress was prompt, quick and humble. Definitely a «must go again» for us.

My friends and family came here to celebrate my upcoming wedding. While we were there my aunt slipped and fell injuring her knee. The manager said she would take care of our meal. We were never brought a bill and gave our best guess on what to tip the waitress. On our way out the owner stopped at our car and was beyond rude! We explained that she left her name and number and he responded by saying«did you at least take care of your waitress» to our surprise my Aunt receives a phone call the next day from the police that we walked out our bill! The owner and manager at this restaurant should be ashamed of themselves! Why would we leave her name and number if we ran out on the bill?!

Red sauce was very tomato pasty. Not very authentic. Had the chicken, pear salad and it was ok. Rest of the family either had pasta or chicken.

Service was good. Food was bad. Salmon was way over cooked, chicken Alfredo was less of a portion than the appetizer but three times the cost. Probably half of a chicken breast. Definitely won’t be going back.

I really want to like Sorrelina’s. The atmosphere is simple and clean design. Enough tables for many and not too many to feel swarmed. But, with so many fine choices for dining in TC some disappointments on basics may cost them a return visit. The bruschetta app was very well prepared and tasty – a nice start to the evening. The house bread and dipping oil were amazing, as other reviewers said. As for the entrees, our group of 11 had a variety. The beef tenderloin looked fantastic, but I don’t think it was a true tenderloin.(?) I’d want to see the chef prepare it from refrig to plate. Chicken parmigiana was quite tasty, sauce very fine, but the pounded chicken breast a tad over cooked, to having crispy, inedible corners – for both of our diners. Squid ink pasta with seafood was excellent. Spaghetti with house meatballs pleased adolescents and adults. Eggplant parmigiana satisfied. Now for pricing. Unilocal lists Sorrelina’s at $$. Nearly all entrees were $ 20 to $ 30+. This is TC, and I don’t mind spending for great food. This is a $$$, at least. And for $$$, there are many places to choose from.

Great. Stopped in for a slice of Italiano. Had the beef tenderloin with creamy morel mushroom risotto. To. Die. For. Perfect blend of perfectly cooked(read melty) beef and a smooth sumptuous finish with the risotto. A bit pricey @ $ 33 for the plate, but the tourist pricing«adder» is definitely there. I’d give 5 stars but the wife’s chicken picatta was doused with Lemon, very heavily. Other than that I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Overall review: food was bad 1. Inside seating only. No outside seating. But also it was in the middle of a parking lot so would be weird to have outdoor seating. 2. Drinks were really good 3. Service was FAST. Our food came out 10 min after we ordered it 4. I got the lasagna. Kinda hard to mess up. My friend got the filet which actually wasn’t a filet. She ordered medium rare and it was well done. My other friend ordered the shrimp pasta and it was a very weird flavor; she just shared my lasagna w me. My other friend got the beet salad, which was mediocre. Although the service was good and friendly and fast, 3 ppl just ate their food out of sheer hunger. Not recommending in the future

While in Vegas about a year and a half ago a great waitress told us about this place. I always go to The Boathouse when I make my annual trip to Traverse City but since Kris was coming up to celebrate our anniversary I had an excuse to break from the pack. Everything about this place is exceptional. The location(basement of a former mental hospital), wine list, service and, of course, the food. I couldn’t decide what to eat but the wild boar was so tempting that I went for it and was not disappointed. This is definitely a spot for a leisurely meal of several courses. My recommendation is to share the earlier courses — we shared a cheese plate and a salad. Rather than ask to have the salad split we just did that ourselves. Also, and chances are if you’re looking at a place like this you know this bit of advice: skip the substitutions. I cannot remember whether they are even allowed but a place with cuisine of this level balances all flavors. If you hate a particular ingredient, order something it’s not in. Brilliant and worth every penny.
