I thought this was just a liquor store, but it’s so much more. The deli inside has some great cuts of meet and cheeses, and the prices are reasonable. Our TC group bought New York Strip, ground chuck(equaled out to 12 burgers), swordfish, cheddar cheese, pasta salad, coleslaw, chips, pop, beer, cigarettes — everything! We had a grill session on the beach and it was awesome. The service is great.

This place is absolutely my style. Yes fresh whitefish dip, other smoked local fish, fresh and frozen, Boarshead meats, well stocked unique wines, craft and regular beers and fresh walnut cherry bread. They have all the healthy grain chips to accompany all the cheese and dip snacks plus a mini market in the back of the store. I came by one day and there was a man barbecuing something yummy fresh for the lunch crowd. They also make yummy all Boarshead sammies, chips and a pickle for $ 5.95. Sammies aren’t available late in the evening but everything else was. I’m not a big drinker but was impressed with the higher quality of wines available and one of the men working there was quite knowledgeable in case you’re into vino. The only thing which mystified me is that I’ve never seen this awesome little market in all my years visiting Traverse City. The current owners have owned it for 13 years. Don’t miss out on this fun lil market. It’s across from the Beach Haus Hotel. Sure beats Tom’s in uniqueness!

It’s a deli, plus they have beef jerky. The plain and mesquite varieties are excellent, the turkey tenderloin not so much, but the pay-by-the-pound setup allows for a diverse jerky tasting. The produce section isn’t huge but I’ve appreciated the fresh Fuji apples, not like those places that think a wrinkled Red Delicious is sufficient.

Picked up some deli meat here this past week. They carry Boar’s Head brand. A little pricey — $ 11.49 /lb. for roast beef. On the other hand, saw that smoked fish(salmon and whitefish) was $ 9.99/lb. which seems very reasonable. They also sell wine, made-to-order sandwiches(with the Boar’s Head meat), seafood, etc. Friendly quick service. Does not accept Discover Card or American Express — boo.

We stopped in one morning on our way to Lake Michigan for a day of boating. We picked up two Turkey, Salami, with sun dried tomato mayo dressing sandwiches. When lunch time arrived we opened them up and the flavor was delicious, great sourdough rolls. We went back a few days later and picked up some tenderloins and homemade sausage for dinners. Great market, very nice selection of meats and fish, great staff.

Not impressed ATALL. Ordered a roast beef with havarti, LTM hors radish mayo. Roast beef was medium well NOT rare. There was very little of each ingredient in my sandwich. Expected it to be much better. Will not be going back.

Great place to pickup a picnic lunch. They have a good selection of gluten free items too. Priced like most resort town small markets. You pay a bit more for convenience.

Good alternative to fast food for lunch. We were stopping to get a picnic lunch. I wanted them to be more like Guerney’s in harbor Springs, and it could with a few changes… thick cut bread and quarter pound meat. Lots of grocery items to fill out the picnic!

boar’s head, they got boar’s head. everyone knows boar’s head is the best! mmmmmmmm.mmmmmmmm. ok, now to the real review. this is a very nice little shop with tasty, made to order sandwiches. my turkey reuben was superb. my husband had a turkey sub that was also really tasty. staying at the beach haus across the street i got to try out the market couple times. it is the perfect place for a traveler. the garlic and artichoke spread is amazing, as is the whitefish dip. the beer selection is medium sized and upscale. the prices, i have to say are very much inflated, but i was on vacation. they seemed to also have a nice wine selection. love, juston

Terrific sausages and jerky. Great selection of seafood, meat, cheese, wine, and beer. Plenty of staff, all of whom are very helpful and courteous. I found all of the food to be very high quality and the prices to be reasonable. I very highly recommend the Bayside Market!

If you need a fancy cut of meat or a bottle of wine this the best place to go. We always make the drive over to Bayside market before a cookout. The quality of the food there is excellent which is reflected in the cost, but it’s nice to splurge on good food sometimes.

This is such a great little market if you are staying in the area. They have a nice deli counter with a bunch of great cheeses. They have large freezers with seafood that they will steam for you to go. And lots of fish, sausage(some they make) if you have somewhere to cook it. The owner also told me they do a bbq every friday afternoon and that it sells out quickly. They have a nice beer and wine selection — they have some local wine, french, italian, australian — pretty impressive for a little market.
