Love Cunninghams happy hour! What an enjoyable evening. Love the meatball, mushroom kale dinner, Caesar salad. And look at this dessert.

We went for restaurant week. Will not be back. It was very crowded which we thought was a good sign but everything, down to dessert, was COATED in salt. We had drinks at the bar first and the drinks are tiny(in mini martini glasses) and overpriced – two cocktails for 26 $ +tip.(Who gives one olive in a dirty martini?) I wouldn’t bother with this place again; save your money, get an über and go to a decent restaurant in the city.

Cunningham’s is just«so, so». The pluses are a great bar, happy hour specials and ½ wine night. On the downside is the«food». It is nothing to write home about. It is kind of «blaw»…from a taste point of view, it is just not there. Maybe we were there on a bad night. Who knows?

I had the worst, and shocking experience with a bartender yesterday Jan 11(for any manager reading). They open at 5. I got there at 4:56 and sit at the bar. This guy sends me to wait in the lobby for 4 minutes vs just letting me sit at the bar. If he needed the time to prep, just tell me. Then him and the manager(who tried to be nice and helpful) offered to buy me a drink. I order Hendricks up with cucumber. I think he sent someone to get cucumber. After serving my friend 5 mins later he comes over and give me tonic on ice and mumbles something about he’s waiting for something. Then he just ignored me for 10 more mins. No drink after 15 mins, and during that time he was noticeably irritated with me and avoiding eye contact. Finally the manager comes back and I say«what’s the deal do you guys have cucumber or not». Then the bartender got even more irritated shaking his head and mumbling, now ignoring me and the obviously shocked, surprised, embarrassed manager confused also why I wasn’t being helped. I told him how rude the guy was being to me. He tried to right the situation but I wasn’t about to sit across from the bartender for the next hour so left. I was a regular. I’ll likely never go back in fear of having to deal with him again.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal on New Year’s Eve. It was our first time dining at Cunningham’s and we loved the place, the food and the service. The ambiance is upscale yet comfortable, not stuffy. The food was delicious. Our server, Kara, did an awesome job of being attentive. It was a very busy night and yet Kara checked in with us regularly and we never had to wait longer than reasonable for anything. We can’t wait to go back and hope we get seated at one of Kara’s tables.

We went for NYE this year and both got the Prix Fixe option. This was our first experience and it gave me a good range of options to enjoy. My husband got the fried oysters which were so delicious. I got a roasted carrot salad which was a little too al dente for me. I also kept feeling like I had seeds from it in my teeth even after we left which was gross. Both of us got the scallops which were really flavorful and a nice portion. For our main course we both got the filet which was very tasty but also filled with too many onions. I liked the mashed potato and the presentation. Dessert we did not thoroughly enjoy because I got the pave and it was really hard to get my spoon in it — almost like it was frozen so I just ate the chocolate ice cream with it. My husband got the crêpe which he said was alright but he just ate the ice cream with it also. We had a nice time together which was the most important thing and will come back for a second chance. I have heard the brunch is very good.

I love this place so much! The dining scene in Baltimore is strong, but Towson has remained an underserved area for foodies. Cunningham’s is a much needed addition. The crowd in the dining room runs to blue hair and oxygen tanks, especially early in the evening, but the food and service are outstanding. For a more«hip» experience, sit at the bar. The bartenders are great mixologists — with a great variety of inventive, complicated cocktails. They are always happy to make up a non-alcoholic version, when we have teetotaler with us :) The view is magnificent, overlooking the Towson circle and right now, that includes the lights of the Towson Christmas tree! Solid menu, farm to table themed and frequently changing to adapt to seasonal or locally available products. Great oysters and I LOVE the«toasts» on the appetizer menu — currently its butternut squash on toast for the fall, but they change the menu frequently.

Ate here on Valentine’s weekend. The inside is impressive and the bar overlooking Towson circle is fun. However, the food was only average for the prices. But more importantly to comment on was the lack of service from the waitstaff. This isn’t my only time experiencing a restaurant owned by the Bagby Bros. Seems like there is always an abundance of waiters and help but there is either a serious lack in training, or lack of hiring experienced workers. To be completely honest I get better service at Chickfila. We waited forever between plates and to even get a check or have it picked up. We sat in the«couples row» tables and the large open room could have definitely afforded to lose a table. I felt we could have easily joined in on the food or convo with our table neighbors. We ordered the cookies and milk for dessert, it came with the smallest jar of milk. The cookies were too large to even dunk in the milk. Not the best thought out dish. I was originally excited to have a local upscale place down the street but unfortunately it’s nothing to write home about.

So nice to have a great fine dining spot in Towson! We usually go and sit at the bar, for the relaxed atmosphere, and the great happy hour specials! Awesome cocktail list(the lutherville is a must), extensive wine list(half-price bottles on Tuesdays), and generally very well executed food. Service has always been understated but attentive. Definitely one of our go-to date spots!

A gem in «the county.» Seriously impressed by our food Friday night. Did not want to drive into city for a quality restaurant. Hadn’t been here in 1.5 years, but food was better than remembered. Love that they are still pushing out awesome dishes. Maybe too many old dishes on the menu though… Anyhow, the burratta comes w/awesome flatbread. The pork chop and halibut main dishes were well prepared and a good balance of fun side dishes. Pork chop was probably best I’ve ever tasted. Our server was attentive and management took up tasks when he was elsewhere. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine and they put it in a decantaur without asking. Happy to end up there; need to end up there for some ½ price wine & flatbread!

Hopping on a Saturday morning! The cappuccino was picture perfect! Right temp, great presentation, tastes great. Only downside — the wifi is powered by gerbils: bring your own.

An excellent upscale restaurant in Towson. The set menu dinner was a big hit with our group, but I went rogue and ordered the bouillabaisse and it was fantastic. The pretzel dessert they have is also amazing. They feature an impressive wine list and drink menu. For a full review of their bloody mary, visit .

i haven’t been here in a really long time, but one thing I DO remember is that my server was horrible. I think his name was Jerry or Jared. Didn’t treat me well, and he hit on my younger daughter which i thought was extremely inappropriate. Good thing I raised my daughter well enough to not give out her number on a whim, because I specifically remember him asking for it like 4 times in ways that he seemed to think were«humorous». Food was excellent though. great stuff here.

A bit disappointing last night. Had reservations for dinner at 6:30. The staff at the front is very young and there is a bottleneck as you enter. The hostess seemed a bit flustered and after I told her of our reservation she told me to wait that there is someone ahead of us. Ok. Then she asked if I had a reservation! Ordered the special, an 18oz filet mignon and a side of squash. Curious as to why they didn’t ask my preference for temperature of the beef. When it arrived it was a grizzled and fatty piece of meat. Quite tasty in places but ¼−1/3 of it I left on the plate. I had ordered squash as a side dish as well. The waitress plunked it down on the table after the meal as the plates were being cleared and said, «this is on the house.» It felt rude. I didn’t eat it. I would have preferred my steak be comped. My wife tasted it and said it was good. We were given two different menus for dessert. Must have been printed at different times. That was a bit confusing. We weren’t sure which one was more current. Neither did the server. Dessert was ice cream. It was fine. The server never asked how the meal was. My wife and I have eaten here four times now. Our first meal here with friends was superb. Since then it has been slipping ever so slightly. It’s disappointing.

This was my first time coming here with my girlfriends! I am giving Cunninghams 4 stars and here is why: 1. The service was great! From complementary valet to the waiter! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The waiter knew how to juggle multiple tables while still making sure we were attended to. 2. The atmosphere! It’s very posh and chic! A more older crowd. Great for happy hour, outing with friends and even a date. Though located in towson, you feel like you are in the city! 3. The food: appetizers were great! No pictures sadly! The oysters and scallops come highly recommended! For my entrée I had the farmhouse burger with fries. The burger is a nice size but lacking flavor BIGTIME! My friend had the crab soup which she said was very salty! My other girlfriend had the rockfish with Mac and cheese which was good. Dessert Apple crisp one of the best I’ve had ! 4. Price: reasonable is price between 10 – 30 dollars! Overall i would go again! Nice people and great atmosphere

Really enjoyed the atmopshere as it was darker and more romantic but still open. As for the food that’s a different story. Came here for a 3 course tasting menu via a deal and was disappointed. For the appetizer we got the butternut squash Shoup and dumplings and both were sub oar as they were quite bland and not flavorful. The entrée we got was the vegetarian mushroom steak and chciken– the mushrooms a were quite good but the chicken tasted boiled. Finally the dessert(pumpkin flan and apple crisp) were both food so no complaints there. My biggest issue was the menu descriptions… someone needs to rewrite them. For the mushroom steak it wasn’t clear if it was a vegetarian dish consisting of mushrooms or if it was a stake that had mushrooms on it. The worst descriptions were for the dessert. Then apple crisp was described a «seasonal fruit»., most people would take this as a fruit cup not an apple crisp. The flan was not described as flan either, otherwise I would have never gotten it.

This was my first time having dinner at Cunningham’s. The location of this very posh restaurant is a little difficult to find if you have never been here. I My party was a group of 7 people. When we arrived we were seated immediately. The servers show you their wine list on ipads. As we had a larger group we would have all like to have seen the wine menu to see the selections but because the server held the ipad it wasn’t possible. Over all the food was excellent. Service was great. Kitchen timing was a bit off and could use some improvement.

Oh Cunningham’s… you were supposed to be a great pick for date night but you have unfortunately disappointed us. My SO and I went for restaurant week on a Thursday night around 7 and it was not as busy as we thought it would be. NBD. First off, the service is great. The décor is a bit confusing. It looks farm to table with the wood and the pickled veg jars but then there’s this tarp on the ceiling and that reminded me of daisys… and hanging lights near the open kitchen. HUH? I’m a bit confused. It was a combination of farm and futuristic décor. Another weird thing, they charged us for the dinner a MONTH later. What’s up with that? Anyways, on to the food. We started with the charcuterie board which consisted of duck prosciutto, beef tongue, and head cheese. I’ll admit I was a bit nervous about the tongue and head cheese but it wasn’t bad. My recommendation– ASK what kind of meats they are serving so you’re not surprised by what shows up. Also ordered the cheese plate which was pretty much a standard cheese plate. I ordered off the restaurant week menu and had the salmon tartar(I liked the freshness of it but the consistency of just tartar with nothing crunchy to try it with was a bit over bearing), the chicken 3 ways– amazing flavor profile and I enjoyed the crispiness of the thigh, and the apple streusel served with icecream and granola was ABSOLUTELYDIVINE. Definitely the best part of the meal. My SO ordered the steak… and I can’t remember much of it. Also a side of mac and cheese which looked good but ended up being dry.

The first time we walked up there, we didn’t realize that it was a finer establishment, yet they still greeted and seated us with a smile(even though I was in jeans and a hoody). You often hear about farm-to-table restaurants and a lot of times they leave a lot to desire, Cunningham’s was not one of those. Our server made some recommendations and they were dead on! The menu is an evolving one, changing with the seasons, so my order during our first trip is no longer available, as are our many other trips. Which is a good thing because if you’re like me, you tend to get the same thing every time but this forces you to try new things. In the six months we lived in Towson, we visited Cunningham’s on four separate occasions, each time was better than the last. The food is just amazing and I don’t need to go into detail because all of the other reviewers already have. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate — allowing for conversation and a relaxing environment. The wait staff is well trained and personable, they love to make recommendations, which always seem to be spot on — whatever they’re doing, I wish other restaurants would reach out and start doing the same. We’ve had such a great experience each time that I really can’t offer any suggestions for improvement. I would love to shake the hands of the owners and let them know that they have provided a wonderful experience and to keep it up. We have loved everything about Cunningham’s, and unfortunately we have moved and will miss walking up there for dinner.
