Not my favorite coffee shop ever. It was definitely cute and had a nice vibe. But it was also overpriced and not very good. The «medium roast» was the strongest, most bitter coffee I have ever tasted. Added three times the amount of sugar I usually would just to drink it. Probably wouldn’t go back.

This is a real gem finding such a great coffee shop in a small little town. Great atmosphere and great coffee. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. They even roast their own beans– I bought some to take home I can’t wait to try. Highly recommend.

Outstanding in every way. I’ve had fine coffee around the world, and this is as good as anything out there. Beautifully roasted beans in tiny batches, skillful, friendly baristas, and a behemoth of a manual machine that pulls the perfect shot every time. Consider yourself lucky if you’re in the neighborhood, and get over there!

Great coffee and friendly people. Very hip and local-​centric environment inside. I was there twice while in Townsend and had the Mocha Latte and a Mocha Frappé… both rivaled the big-​dog shops in taste. Mocha is homemade by the shop and they feature goodies from locals as well. Nice place to stop for some brew.

The Artistic Bean is in our Top 3 list of coffee shops around the world! From the moment you walk in, you know it’s going to be a great experience. They roast their own beans on site, and the manual espresso machine is unlike anything I’ve experienced. The quality of foam they can make and the beautiful designs is a mastery that few coffee shops can achieve.
Then add to that the incredibly friendly and experienced baristas, and you end up with an unforgettable experience. Definitely a #jacoffeefavorites!

This little coffee business was a huge happy surprise for this picky cappuccino lover. Was expecting nothing remotely quaffable in this small town. Instead, freshly roasted beans, an elegant hand-​pulled espresso machine (haven’t seen one of these in ages) & highly knowledgeable barista. The cap was excellent, more like Italian style, compact foam, slightly chocolaty, hint undertone of cinnamon.

Stopped here on my way back from visiting Cade’s Cove in the Great Smoky National Park, and was beyond happy. Excellent coffee, snacks, and atmosphere. When you walk in, it immediately smells delicious. The barista was very knowledgeable about their coffee as well as more trails to hike in GSMNP. I wish I lived closer to get this kind of high quality coffee everyday! I highly recommend this coffee house.

New and welcome addition to Townsend. Organic coffee is ground on property and nicely strong. Bags of freshly roasted beans are also for sale, and move quickly, so the shop often smells aromatic. Local baker delivers pastries daily, and the owner usually has complementary treats available. Very fast Wi-​Fi. Owners and employees are very pleasant and low key, but actually quite accomplished and well travelled, so take time to talk with them if the shop is not busy. Occasionally noisy with home-​schooled kids passing through, but that also adds to the neighborhood feel of the shop. Lots of regulars, and I am one.

Unbelievable coffee shop in Townsend next to Ace hardware near the light. Coffee roasted fresh in the shop for immediate enjoyment or for purchase. Comfortable and inviting seating. Pastries by Connie, the incomparable master chef of Townsend. If you haven’t visited, it is worth making time. You will love it.

Stopped here with my fiancé after the caverns. We had passed by the café all week but never actually walked in. We were impressed! The management were so pleasant and knowledgeable. Coffee was delicious too!!! I got a pumpkin spice latte and my fiancé got a pumpkin spice frappé chino and we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth the stop!!!
