I confirmed with a few residents, this establishment closed its operations earlier in 2015.

Cute family restaurant. Fast and friendly and reasonably priced for the area. Went for breakfast and had the 2 egg, grits, hash browns, sausage and biscuit breakfast. Everything was cooked to order and was good. Hash browns and eggs were a little on the over cooked side but good. Also had a side of crispy French toast and it was four stars. Highly recommend the crispy French toast. Coffee was good and not too strong. Breakfast for 3 with drinks and tip was $ 32 which isn’t bad.

Great little breakfast diner. The biscuits are homemade and come out beautiful. Service is so friendly, looks like a «locals» kind of place, but they welcomed us in like old friends. Good gritz, average eggs, great coffee, and quick service.

Difficult to find according to map. Nice staff. I had the crunchy French toast. I’m still not sure what the crunch actually was. It didn’t have much flavor but wasn’t bad. The bacon was very good!

Had a great breakfast here. They have a good variety of breakfast meats, pancakes, French toast, grits, hash browns and fried potatoes and onions. They also have oatmeal for something healthier. Very friendly staff, food cooked as expected and quick service.

Wanted a good cup of Joe and could not find anything open accept this little café’. My wife and I had coffee and a ice cream topped brownie. Hit the spot. Waitress was very friendly. If you’re passing through and need a pick up this is the place to stop.

Amazing Meatloaf Sandwich! Great service and an intimate atmosphere. Group of us ordered random items from the menu and no one was disappointed. Highly recommend! Staff easily accommodated requests and were extremely pleasant.

The food was delicious! We ate breakfast and supper there for 3 days and was never disappointed. The desserts were awesome! The only adjustment I’d suggest would be a larger building for faster seating and more room for larger groups.

The chicken sandwich on «panini» bread was soggy and bland. The bread wasn’t toasted or pressed at all and just looked like white bread to me. My husband got the fried catfish and he was throwing up within 30 minutes. We will never eat here again!

In town from Charleston for a weekend in the mountains, and stopped at Firefly Café in Townsend for lunch. We had the most amazing Fried Green Tomato BLT Sandwich — -It was unbelievable! Such a cute little café with the sweetest staff waiting on us. Definitely add this one if you’re looking for a yummy spot to stop to eat and don’t want the usual chain restaurant. You will be glad you did!

While staying on the quiet side of the smoky’s we visited the Firefly Café. We had a great experience and truly enjoyed a great lunch. the Firefrys are amazing and a must have. The staff was very courteous and it felt like I was welcomed. Try this one while in Townsend for sure.

We had lunch there on our way to rafting, and we were glad we did. This place doesn’t look like much from the front, but inside you will find great food and friendly people. I ordered the country ham sandwich. It was served hot with excellent french fries on the side. It was delicious. And the coffee was the best I’ve had in the area. My wife and daughter both got the meatloaf special and practically licked the plates clean. The portions were very generous, and everything tasted fantastic. My wife even raved about the turnip greens on the side. I highly recommend this place. You get in and out in a jiffy, and the food is excellent.

This place offers southern food you’re expecting: Turnip greens and beans just like my Nan made,(Nan was known for her cooking, so that’s high praise). I had the meatloaf, which was top-notch with green bell peppers and all around yumminess. There was a great selection of sandwiches, including that Southern lunch staple of the 70s: fried bologna! My husband loved his sandwich, a country ham sandwich on Texas toast. Everyone was super friendly. We didn’t have dessert due to being stuffed, but it looked delicious. The waitress was super friendly, too. Please eat there so it will still be open when we return.

Chicken bland, lettuce wilted, panini was two pieces of white bread warned up on a grill. Greens came straight out of the can.

I was so happy to see that Firefly Café was open again today(since last week)! The previous owner had to close it months ago due to family health issues and it’s been really missed. I had my own favorite — Fried Green Tomato BLT — today and thankfully, it was as good as I remembered! I met the new owner, Lisa, and am impressed with her prior cook and kitchen manager experience, but more so that she is now following her dream of owning her own restaurant. I intend to support her endeavor by visiting as many times as I can. Maybe one of these days I’ll try something other than my tried-and-true favorite, but I’m a creature of habit and it’s hard to resist that BLT and sweet tea!

The Rib Eye Steak sandwich is probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was served on marbled toasted bread, and with the fries(also very good) would have been plenty for two people. Especially considering you need to leave room for dessert. We didn’t, but got a brownie to go which was gone within an hour. Great service and great ambience as well.

After an afternoon photographic hike in the Smoky’s, the clean crisp air, sounds of running water and delicate scent of nature had me hankerin’ for a nice lunch. As I drove through the charming town of Townsend, this brightly painted gem of a restaurant caught my eye. I pulled off the road, parked and ambled inside. It was not what I expect at all. Along the left side is a full service counter, a bakery case LOADED with freshly baked cakes, breads and other sweets and on the right side is the dining area. It is pleasantly decorated with beautiful blue walls, hanging medallion lighting and an instant feeling that you’re entering an Alice in Wonderland type of world where firelys dance overhead. I was even more surprised at the extent of the menu selections. There was no way that I could make an informed choice since this was my first visit, but as soon as I saw the Fried Green Tomato BLT on Texas Toast, I knew that was for me, and I’m telling you, «my taste buds are still dancing after crunching into what I believe is the ABSOLUTEBESTBLT I have ever eaten.» And you can quote me on that! Each of the sandwich components, the grilled Texas toast, the crispy fried green tomatoes, the crunchy, thinly sliced bacon and the fresh tomato, pesto and oil relish worked so well together. My taste buds are still screaming for MORE! The sandwich was served in a basket layered with black and white checkered napkins. The fries, the tastiest I’ve had, were so good, I ate them plain without any condiments. They were served in a mini-fryer basket and the outside crunch was delicate and crispy with warm mouth-watering potatoe inside. My server was a spot-on, friendly fellow who chatted it up with me for a while and made me feel like I was part of the family, so much so that I will definitely return SOON!

Boy oh boy! Ok, first off we had never heard of this cute little restuarant until some friends were posting their check-ins on Facebook. We decided to give it a try seeing that we are locals. NOT disappointed at all! The Angus burger was cooked to perfection. The only complaint from it, I ate it too fast! The fries were delicious as well. My wife purchased the fried green tomato BLT and it was also very good. Bacon was cooked perfectly so not to pull the whole strip out while taking a bite. I will say, you must stop by and visit, you will not be disappointed at all. Supper friendly staff and food worth swallowing whole.

We were in Pigeon Forge, TN for Thanksgiving and were in need of a breakfast place on the way out of town post-holiday. For 9 of us. When we walked in, I thought there was no way they’d accommodate a party of 9 in a place this small. But they were VERY welcoming — and we’d already spent 3 days of family bonding time — so splitting up into tables of 5 and 4 wasn’t really a sacrifice. I got eggs, bacon, biscuits, and grits. Don’t bother with the grits. I never liked grits until I tried the stone-ground kind they sell at the farmers’ market. These were not those. But the eggs and bacon and biscuits were excellent. Coffee must’ve been good too, because the waitress was quick with a refill and I drank enough to keep me wired the whole drive back to Memphis. Others at my table had the french toast and vouched for its amazingness. One guy got a ribeye and eggs platter that was just massive. I assume it was good, because he made it disappear pretty fast. A fun place all-around. The waitress referred to every adult male as «Hank» — as in «care for some more coffee, Hank»? None of us is named Hank, but it struck me as more fun than«hon» or «sug» which I believe are pretty standard at a country breakfast joint. Looked like they had great desserts that I’d like to try next time. And frog legs were on the menu for lunch. They have beer too, which will go well with my future frog-legs order.
