In comparison to the other utsuwa no yakata, this store is tiny. TINY! Although its tiny, it still packs a punch. Everything is packed into a confined space. Be very careful walking in and out of this place cuz you might knock over pots or dishes.

Inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace is this little store full of rice bowls, chopsticks, plates, kitchen gadgets, knickknacks, and everything related to serving tea. Prices are reasonable and they always have sale items. I was after a specific bowl with a microwavable lid but they were out of stock. They immediately offered to take my name and number so they can call me when the next shipment arrives. The staff here are very helpful and exceptionally friendly. I just love this little place; if it were a child I would pinch its cheeks.

Huh, there is something I want in here. That beautiful bowl with cherry blossom design on the inside(Pics posted). I don’t know why but I’m thinking of eating ramen in this thing once in a while, for when I’m feeling like spring(Cherry blossom time I believe), I’ve no idea when I’m feeling like spring though, maybe I’m hopscotching on the sidewalk singing or skip-step walking to a store or something but hoping I’m not doing this. I get home, I open the box, I stare at it. It’s too fancy to eat anything in it…, I’ll just leave it on a counter as an ornament then. Guess it wasn’t what I wanted but I don’t regret getting it, it looks great.

I love this shop. You’ll find it nestled by the west exit doors of the Torrance Mitsuwa market, and my oh my, they have some cool stuff. Lots of cool tea cups, teapots, all things to do with serving sake, and Japanese dishware. Pricing? Super reasonable, and if you go on a sale day, it’s a downright steal.

This is inside the big Mitsuwa market. I had dropped in when I had time before an event which was cool because I found something that helped make it even better. This store can feel a little crowded with all the stuff compared to the amount of space they have so the aisles don’t permit too many people in them at the same time. But I wouldn’t really expect the store to be huge anyway since it is another market. A would recommend it to find small stuff maybe for a gift or for cooking items especially for Japanese cooking.
