Up front — the two stars are for the food only. We’ve visited this location several times over the years, but it seems that customer service is no longer important to this store. On our last visit, we witnessed an employee who wouldn’t even make eye contact with the customers(we were being helped by another, but decent, employee, so we saw this incident first hand), mumbled under his breath, sighed as if exasperated and inconvenienced, and was downright rude when a customer asked what kind of bread they had — he threw up his hand, sighed, and said«it’s up there,» pointing at the board. This visit, we had the pleasure of dealing with Hunter first-hand…or rather, the displeasure. There wasn’t even one other customer in the store, but he acted like we interrupted his break and ruined his day. Complete attitude when we asked for additional topping, huffing and saying«geez,» and ended the visit by not-so-gently slamming our drinks onto the counter. If he were my employee, I’d fire him and his rude attitude! If you don’t like your job, Hunter, find another one because we don’t deserve to be as miserable as you!

After frequenting this place for years, I’m done. The food is usually very good, but the service has gotten progressively slower to the point where it’s just not worth it any more. Calling ahead for pickup used to save time; now, they usually just tell you to «hold on,» and put the phone down, and don’t ever come back to the phone. There’s been a lot of staff changes recently. Hopefully before long they’ll get their act together again. In the meantime, I’m done with this place.

I could give 0 if I could. We ordered for pickup. When we brought the sandwich home we noticed that there is NOCHEESE. Absolutely no cheese. And I ordered mine with tomatoes and no pickles. She gave me pickles and no tomatoes. Wow. I have been here twice before and it was okay okay. I’ll never go back here EVER! What I ordered: all natural chicken(2) American, Buttermilk Ranch, Thousand Island Dressing(Double), Lettuce(Double), Red Onions, Pickles, Pepperoncinis, Salt, Black Pepper, Chili Lime Tortilla Strips WHAT I GOT: No Cheese(not a bit), absolutely no ranch, forget about dressing, little lettuce, red onions, lot of pickles, pepperoni is, salt, no chilli lime tortilla. So, I was in the neighborhood and craving an egg salad sandwich. I stopped into the store and it was deserted, I asked the girl at the counter if they had egg salad today and she just said no. No apology, nothing. I asked her if it’s just for today or if they don’t have it anymore in general. She was not able to answer my question. I reluctantly agreed to a chicken salad sandwich. She was extremely short to me and not cordial or friendly. The manager or owner was nearby and he engaged me in conversation about how no one asks for the egg salad anymore so they stopped buying the eggs to make it. This was a very good explanation to me, and if only the girl making my sandwich would have explained that it might’ve been a better interaction. The manager said that he was very sorry and he gave me 10% off of my sandwich. I am giving the store three stars because of the extremely unfriendly sandwich girl behind the counter who displayed no sympathy towards my being let down about the egg salad sandwich. If I do come back in the future, and that’s a big IF, it will be because of that manager

The five stars is for there employee viv who went far and beyond with her skills in customer service. She was the only one that smiled, seems like nobody there likes there job. Viv was the only one who took there job serious, even the manager was a blah. My hat goes off to that young lady, she actually got me in a better mood because I had just broke up with my girl and she actually cared that I was going through something, it was a nice expirence today at this togos

The worst customer service that i have ever experienced. i thought i was being punked its that bad. Ok so i havent had togos in a while and decided to go for early dinner. The moment i walked in the two employees looked at me like they didnt even want to be there. The first thing out of the first employees mouth was«i just want to let you know we are out of bread and i cant sell you foot longs» i replied ok what bread do you have. They said just 6inch wheat and sour dough. So i thought in my head cant you just put 26inches together and make a foot long? But at this point i didnt want any drama. just food. So i told them 6 inch turkey on wheat. Then this girl employee started making the sandwich with an attitude like she couldnt believe im making them make a sandwich out of nowhere. So i asked her is everything ok are u angry at sumthing. she replied with an attitutde«im just fine!» And proceeded to take her gloves off threw them in the air and walked away to the back. I was like what the hell is happening right now? I thought it was a joke at first. But she never came back. So i basically stormed out of that place because i didnt do anything to deserve that kind of treatment as a customer. If you are having a bad day i get it but dont take it out on the customer. I cant believe those two were even holding a job with the lack customer service they had. Never going back to this place ever again and togos should be ashamed of themselves for even employing characters like these two. I didnt get the names of the employees but wow. im still shocked at what happened. AVOIDTHISPLACE!

It must be the Pavlovian principle that intermittent reinforcement is stronger than consistent reinforcement. Therefore, I keep going back to the same awful places in Torrance because once out of every ten visits I will actually get the food I ordered the way I ordered it. I have also noticed that in Torrance anyway, that no fast food chain even has enough staff on the clock to run efficiently during a lunch hour or are even fully stocked at all stations to be prepared for a lunch hour rush. And, at this Togos anyway, if you walk in the door and the line is more than half of the way back toward the door, just exit and go someplace else for lunch. You will not get your food before the end of your lunch hour. Because circumstances did not allow me to pack a lunch today, I thought today would be a good day to get the Monday daily deal — the pastrami sandwich. so when my turn came up, I ordered it on a parmesan roll. The first question. they will always ask is whether I want mayo and mustard on it. I tell her I want mustard and light mayo. the girl slices open the roll and spreads mayo across only half of the roll. I don’t mean that she spread mayo only on the top half or the bottom half. She spread the mayo across the right half in a way that, after being wrapped, cut in half and wrapped again, one half would have mayo and the other half wouldn’t. I tried to get her to put mayo on the other half, but she had already put the mustard on, and couldn’t use the spatula to spread out the mayo without getting mustard all other it. So they had to trash the bun. Now they have to start over, and another girl comes over to make my sandwich. She doesn’t even ask, she just slathers a heaping portion of mayo onto a fresh roll and squirts some mustard on top of it. Now I’m tempted to tell her to start over again, but decided not to push it. I had already broken the rule of not calling out the worker for screwing up the sandwich, so it was my punishment to get an even worse sandwich. If I called out a bad sandwich a second time, how bad would the third sandwich taste? So it was that I ate a mayo sandwich for lunch today, and spent the rest of my afternoon trying to get the taste out of my mouth.

I was meeting my brother for lunch and decided to call my order in, let me just say that was the biggest mistake I ever made! They literally put the phone down and never came back, after 12 minutes I hung up and decided to drive down there and guess what the phone was still off the hook! I said something to the manager about it and he didn’t say one word to me. I ended up having to stand in line like 25 people deep!

I had been going to this location for about 6 months(at least once a week sometimes 2) and I had been getting the«Daily Deal» this is a regular sandwich(of the restaurants choice) and a drink for 6.00. I do not like fountain drinks of any kind so I always got the daily deal«sandwich only» for 5.00.(this deal is not advertised on their menu it is something the employees told me about the first time and I know about since I always get it. The other day I went in to get lunch, after getting called over to the counter by the sandwich maker who appeared to already be having a bad day, asked me, with out even saying«hi», «welcome» or even making eye contact said, what do you want. I ordered the«daily deal» and as she started making it she asked what drink. I said no drink, sandwich only. She stopped what she was doing to told me quit rudely. We don’t do that. I asked if something changed since I get it all the time and she said no, we can’t do that. What I assumed was the manager(different colored shirt on was working the cash register) told me sure, no problem. The woman making my order turned to him and said«no we cant do that, if we do it for one we do it for everybody». I was surprised she was not more professional and just did not take to confronting the manager and go into the back room, not in front of several customers. He told me yes we can do it. She then made my order without another word or even a «thank you» at the end for being a paying customer. the Manager thanked me and said they wont be doing that 5.00 deal in the future because there is not a button on the register for it and it was a lot of work on the register to figure it out. Even that excuse seems unreasonable and not very customer service oriented. Small issues like this lose customers in the already competitive restaurant industry. Update 4−2−16 Thanks for replying Matt and it was quick but you seem to say the same reply to all the complaints for everyone on here and this has been going on for a while. Why not fix the issues instead of just apologizing all the time. A Change is needed

Service was fine, but for some reason they included lettuce butt in my sandwich. There’s a reason why lettuce butt is not used in sandwich, because it’s hard to clean and end up with dirt and bacteria. This particular lettuce butt had dirt and grime in the crevace. Not cool guys.

I love Togos! But I have to say that this location has got to be the worst ever when it comes to customer service. I’ve been here three times, each time giving them the benefit of the doubt, but no. It’s worst every single time I go. The staff always looks upset, I almost feel as though if I’m walking into Seinfeld’s soup Nazi kitchen at this Togos. They only talk amongst themselves and not to the clients… what really did it is that the last time I was there, the conversation amongst the staff pertained foul smells. Really? I’m getting ready to like… you know… eat… I don’t want to give them my money anymore. Sucks because I love the food, but I can’t continue to be a patron of a place where my patronage is not respected.

¡I decided to try the online order during the lunch rush hour or two… :(Completely disappointed, I don’t have a lot of time during my lunch break so all my pick up orders 4 lunch got to be right the first time and every time; because you don’t get a second chance with me to make a first impresión… Long story short, they screwed up my large tuna order and failed to follow my specific instructions regarding veggie toppings… I guess I’ll be i’ll be goin’ back to subway…

Hey they took my No. 11 away. :(I guess it was ok as I tried something new. I went with the roast beef dip on sourdough. There was a horseradish mayo that was a nice touch. I really appreciate that the guys who make the sandwiches do not touch the cash.
