I am giving this rating based upon what I have eaten. But most especially for dinner, the APPLETERIYAKISALMON Grilled salmon topped with Fuji apple teriyaki sauce, served with wasabi mashed potatoes. The texture of the salmon is superb. The combination of flavors mouth watering. And the CHICKENYAKITORI Three skewers of sautéed chicken, in a sake teriyaki sauce; served with sautéed onions and bell peppers. Excellent flavors! In the past, I’ve had the special lunch one of BENTOBOXES [with salmon chicken] Served with miso soup, uchi no salad, rice, pork gyoza & vegetable spring roll. Also very excellent. My server was Loren, very friendly informative and honest. They also give members a generous ½ birthday gift!

I am not a big fan of raw Sushi but his place had good options for cooked and baked sushi. The customer services here is not the greatest they have a high turn over rate. The only person i recognize to have tenure at this location is the bus boy and he is very nice. They waiters seem like they are unhappy to be there not the friendliest. I don’t go there for the service i go for the food. They have a great happy hour menu.

This review is just for the bar. We came here during the day and ordered some drinks. I had the drink on the left in the picture. I can’t remember what it was called but it was so delicious!!! If you’re a lightweight and you enjoy fruity blended drinks, find out what it is and order it [: Oh! And the bartender was very nice, informative and attentive: D

Happy Hour is a great time to come for gteat deals. Had the Blushing Geisha which was pretty good. The edamame is a usual appetizer, can never go wrong with that. Tried the pineapple cream cheese wontons for the first time tonight and they were yummy. Also the chicken skewers were new for me and they were a treat.

Oh Ra, the only reason we came here was to try a quick happy hour because we were starving. Regardless that sushi is my favorite food and you had such low ratings we decided to try it out. Kirin and hot sake — good deal during HH Calamari — big portion but bland. Ask for a side of siracha for some flavor Crispy spicy tuna — this was good, I’d order it again Las Vegas roll — okay so this is where you’ve confirmed the low ratings. The sushi rice in the roll was hard as if it was old rice that’s been sitting out in open air. Sushi rice is so important in this type of cuisine and it’s so disappointing that this was not done right.

This is my go-to place for sushi. I honestly come here twice a month and have only had one poor experience(I don’t recommend sitting in the bar area). The servers are all great… Michael, Katie and Lauren in particular. Friendly, attentive, and remember who you are/what you like to drink. I always get the Garlic Edamame… bomb! Then I like to use the left over sauce as dip for my sushi rolls. The Viva Las Vegas Roll is a must, it’s super delicious and I prefer it extra crispy. The Chili Shrimp Roll is also a good one, pretty spicy with the jalapeño but bearable. The RA-ckin Roll is great too, topped with shrimp and guacamole… yum! Those are my faves. The atmosphere is really inviting, they play really good music that isn’t too loud or disturbing. TIP: Complete the survey on the receipt they give you for $ 10 off your next $ 30+ purchase. It’s good for 30 days after completion and must be done within 3 days of your visit.

This RA Sushi Bar Restaurant is located outside the Del Amo Fashion Center. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant, as I’ve heard things ranging from it’s the coolest place on earth to its a pretentious piece of crap. It’s definitely somewhere in between, with the atmosphere being more mellow and service being better during lunch. I can imagine dinners getting a bit hectic and loud with a bunch of poseurs. We went for lunch just to check it out and it had it’s ups and downs. RA sushi has high ceilings, nice fashionable décor and even nice crackled plates. My katsu bento was awesome, but I could have eaten twice the portion. The sashimi was inexpensive and looked good, but actually didn’t taste good. Everything else seemed to be wonderful though. I’d highly recommend it for dates, or a fun time — just don’t order the sashimi!

Fresh sushi kinda expensive but super delicious. Love their happy hour menu. The seaweed salad was so delicious and fresh. There are tons of options on the happy hour menu in regards to premium rolls as well as delicious mixed drinks. Parking in the structure might be tad easier than in the small lot across the street. Great place to come before a movie at the amc or after shopping til u drop.

Went for lunch after the movie(Mockingjay). The hostess told us that the lunch special doesn’t work on Sunday’s. While we were packing to leave the manager came over to find out the problem. After explaining the situation, he said we can order off lunch menu. We were surprised to hear that. We always come here after the movie. We will be back but on Saturday to get lunch special. Thanks!

I like RA sushi, yeah it’s a bit Asian fusion, but the menu is extensive and lots of sushi rolls, their happy hour menu is definitely one of the best! Went with sister after a little shopping at South Bay Galleria, we ordered quite a few items off the happy hour menu. Seaweed salad, edamame and miso soup: so refreshing and yummy. Spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna crispy rice, calamari roll: fresh and tasty, especially the spicy tuna crispy rice. Salmon nigiri sushi, spicy tuna hand roll: not the best but still delicious. We got a free order of Philadelphia roll, thanks to our server, it was pretty good considering we don’t usually like sushi rolls with cream cheese. A lobster mango roll from regular menu: I think this was one of the better rolls on the menu, very refreshing. The chicken fried rice cakes were particularly good according to sister, definitely try that. Service was fairly attentive, I had 2 small hot sake, a decent sushi dinner for us, I really dig the happy hour!

Sit at the sushi bar and trust me. you will be taken care of. Most people come to ra ordering off of the preset menu which is great don’t get me wrong. However if you meet a couple of their amazing sushi chefs such as– Tristan, Branden, Nacho, or Valentin then you will get to experience some seriously bomb sushi. Every time my boyfriend and I dine here we come during their awesome happy hour! They have huge discounts on drinks & apps. As far as sushi goes we let the chefs work their magic and they create some amazing rolls! I’ve been to countless sushi joints in the South Bay but the guys at Ra come out on top & make it our go-to spot for late night sushi! 5 stars

One of my favorite spots in Del Amo to sit and have a drink/appetizer before the movies. Their happy hour deals are great, especially for a Sake fan like myself.

*Random Fact — Did you know RA Sushi Bar is owned by Benihana?* RA Sushi Bar is located at the«north» side of the Del Amo Mall(where the Lazy Dog and P.F. Chang’s are located). This place reminded me a bit of Katsuya … basically an «American» sushi joint with fairly extensive selections of appetizers(like garlic edamame, gyoza, shishito pepper), specialty rolls, maki sushi, hand rolls, nigiri, sashimi, udon, etc. Daily specials are also available(Sunday 3PM to close — extended happy hour; Monday 3PM to closed — martinis & sushi rolls $ 6 each; Tuesday 3PM to closed — 2 for price of 1 Viva Las Vegas Rolls; Wednesday 3PM to closed — pick 4 dishes for $ 25). If the only thing I order here is spicy tuna, then this place deserves a solid 4-star. Unfortunately, I had more than just a share of spicy tuna. *** Spring Rolls(Lightly fried vegetable spring rolls served with spicy sesame mustard dipping sauce): Sorry I have to be politically correct here … but these are technically CHINESE spring rolls(aka egg rolls with deep fried crust just like tortillas) and NOT Vietnamese spring rolls(wrapped with rice paper). Crispy crust, but flavorless. Viva Las Vegas Roll(Crab and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed, lightly tempura battered and topped with spicy tuna, crab mix and sliced lotus root; finished with a sweet eel sauce and spinach tempura bits — approximately $ 13, buy one get one free on Tuesday): First of all, spicy tuna FTW(it was actually spicy … in a good way). The combination of spicy tuna + sweet eel sauce + fried lotus root was the key reason why this dish tasted good. Our group had four orders(for the price of two) and 1st round was good … 2nd round started to get somewhat greasy … and after 3rd round it was too much for us to handle. Pineapple Cheese Wontons(Pineapple and cream cheese get a scallion punch in a lusciously sweet, creamy, crispy wonton; served with roasted pineapple dipping sauce): These cheese wontons were actually pretty good, but I didn’t like the overpowering aftertaste. *** Both Viva Las Vegas rolls and pineapple cheese wontons were a lot better than I thought, but I got one word that sums up my experience — meh. My recommendation? Get anything with spicy tuna.

I ordered their philly roll and spicy tuna hand roll. I was pretty impressed with the taste. The philly roll was quite small but well crafted and tasty. I’d definitely come back here for some sushi.

Located in the Del Amo Outdoor mall by all the big chain restaurants and eateries, this restaurant is great if you want to have seafood and are craving Asian food. Their sushi and salads are great. They also have bento boxes on their menu, which come with a little bit of everything. The majority of their dishes also come with hot miso soup. They have a variety of different kinds of fish and dishes to choose from. Also have a variety of soups to choose from which all taste great! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. They also seem to be very knowledgable of their menu which is nice in case you aren’t sure what to order. The restaurant is always clean the ones I’ve come to dine here and the waitstaff are always attentive to tables that need to be cleaned up. The décor here is really cool and goes great with the type of food served here. The prices aren’t bad for the amount of good that you are given. Also lots of open parking available across the street.

Haven’t been to this place in years, but need to start making it a regular occurrence. We went for date night after seeing a movie at the AMC next door, which is perfect. I had this magnificent Shiso Naughty cocktail, which is a pretty bubblegum pink and tastes like pink lemonade, but is basically all acohol, can’t beat that! I liked it so much I bought the ingredients for it that night afterwards and have started making them at home. We started off with the Garlic Citrus Yellow-Tail appetizer and it was scrumptious, with the perfect tangy ponzu like sauce. Good portion of six pieces to split for a couple people. My husband had some salmon nigiri as well, which he said was really good. For my main roll, I had the Lobster-Salmon Roll, which is topped with a lobster cream sauce and has mango and avocado inside, yum! Except for when it came out they left out the mango, but I didn’t even notice till half way through the roll when my husband asked if I liked it and I was like something is off. Well I let the waitress know and she was super nice and insisted on taking it back even though I said she could just bring me some mango on the side since I hate half of it! lol Anyhow, they made me a whole new roll, which I had to take most of it home because I was stuffed, she knew and immediately offered a to go box upon bringing it out. How’s that for service!

Came here again for lunch with a big group for a coworker’s birthday. We were sat promptly and the server was quick to take our drink orders. No sushi ordering menu was left for us so the waitress had to write down everyone’s roll orders. Food came out as it was made. Good server and good lunch specials. One of the girls had a half birthday coupon for $ 20 off that was for the previous month. The restaurant accepted the coupon even though it was no longer the half birthday month. I thought that was pretty awesome.
