I gave this place a try. Big mistake. It’s pretty much managed by a punch of high school kids who are playing around behind the counter, they lack customer service and their hygiene is gross! I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl and a sushi roll. I stood and watch them prepare my food. The girl who was making my roll, picked up a random knife and started cutting my sushi roll. The knife looked used and dirty. I am beyond disgusted with this place!

Located in the food court of the Del Amo, this place offers Japanese fast food such as teriyaki bowls and rolls. My kids wanted Panda Express, but my husband and I wanted something slight better, so we opted for Ginza Grill. I ordered the Crispy Sesame Chicken Bowl with a Strawberry boba drink and my husband ordered some type of roll. My first impression of the bowl was«eh». There was some type of orange sauce drenched over the chicken. Though I wasn’t thrilled about the sauce, I overlooked it. The taste was just okay. I don’t expect that much from mall food court food. My issue was when I bit into the last few pieces of fried chicken. It was completely raw!!! Now, I can excuse bad tasting food since everyone has different tastes, but uncooked food is unacceptable. My husband took my bowl back to let them know and their response was pretty lackluster. After looking at several of other reviews, seems uncooked meat is a common complaints for this place. Will never eat there again.

Went here yesterday for a quick snack. Have been here a couple of times before & never had a problem. However, I found out yesterday that something changed & apparently now you have to be Mexican/Hispanic to get served. I was literally standing right at the counter as it was my turn to order. The Hispanic cashier(Stephanie M., according to the receipt) literally ignored me & served a Mexican customer who was AFTER me in line. When I said something, she just gave me a blank look, made a snarky comment in Spanish to the skank customer(yes, I can understand Spanish although I’m not Hispanic) & kept serving her. I said something again & Stephanie said that the customer had been waiting, but it was obvious she was lying. If she wasn’t, why didn’t she tell me that in the first place? While I was eating, Stephanie looked at me & gave me a haughty smirk, like she’s so superior to me. The ONLY reason I didn’t go elsewhere was that I needed to eat something immediately & couldn’t afford to wait in line elsewhere. Please do yourselves a favor & go somewhere else. This place doesn’t need your money.

This place is disgusting … I see the cooks working hard but the other staff are coughing in their hands, picking their noses all while handling customers food. Also they hang out with random teenagers over the counter. Employees also like to give free drinks to friends which I witness just by sitting at the food court. Where is the manager of this place he/she is letting them get away with this.(Oh wait spotted the manager in the corner just sitting there with his head down) If I was the owner of this place I would be livid Food is horrible and expensive Don’t waste your money here Did I mention disgusting!!! I’m so grossed out with this place No star!!!

Japanese fast food at the mall. Tried the spicy chicken bowl. Didn’t like. Tasted like sriracha marinated chicken thigh. Should have stuck with the classic teriyaki bowl. Had a few pieces of the avocado cucumber roll and it was okay. I didn’t care for the sushi rice. Like it needed flavor and the texture was more mushy. But they have boba and it’s decent. Not the best like specialty boba places but more like a fast food boba joint. Does that even make sense? Lol. The boba consistency was a little bit chewy and the milk tea was okay.

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. The issue: Terrible Management. When I first visited this place with my sister during a mall crawl, back in September 2015, I found the service painfully slow and somewhat indifferent, but the food was pretty good, and we enjoyed ourselves. Even then I noticed that there were multiple complaints about orders being incorrect, or missing elements, so when our food orders were called, we both made sure to check them carefully before we went to our table. Today, my sister took my daughter there for her birthday. Keep in mind that my daughter loves California rolls(the most generic possible sushi), and has eaten them from pretty much everywhere, from cheap, supermarket sushi, to high end, top grade sushi, without any issues. Until today. After eating less than ½ of her roll, and a couple of spoons of their Miso Soup, my daughter, who had been healthy and happy all day up until that point, threw up EVERYTHING she had just eaten. After calling to confirm that my daughter had not been feeling sick earlier today(she hadn’t been sick at all), she tried to discreetly inform the manager that my daughter had gotten sick from their food. She was not seeking a refund or anything, so much as letting them know that somewhere along the line, something had slipped past their safety precautions. To say that the managers reaction was unprofessional was an understatement. She started going off on my sister about how she had a food handling certificate(!), and how no one gets sick from food poisoning right away(Bullshit. When I eat things that aren’t right, I get sick right away.), and basically that my sister couldn’t possibly know what she was talking about. Their corporate office will be hearing from me, and living in the South Bay, I have enough options for decent sushi that I never have to go back there again.

This place used to be really good. Like others have stated, when this food stand opened up in the new Del Amo food court, it was a standout. The food was fresh and fast cooked right in front of you. They had a mix of vegetables that was put with each order that included broccoli carrots and some shredded cabbage. Everything was cooked well and they kept the amount of sauce to a normal level so you could taste the food. Well, this has recently changed. After eating there the other night, I will be taking my business elsewhere. The new vegetable mix is mostly cabbage with some zucchini. This obviously is a cost cutting measure so they could make a bigger profit. Second, my entire order was doused heavily in a newer thicker teriyaki sauce. Third, the noodles they used had a fishy taste to them. Never have I had yakisoba noodles that smell like fish. Lastly, and most importantly, they UNDERCOOKTHECHICKEN! When I took it back, they looked at me like I was crazy when I told them about the issue. They did fix the issue, to their defense, but I can see from other review that this is a common problem. Sorry Ginza Grill, you have lost my business.

One way to describe this place. BADMANAGEMENT!!! we came here on a sunday evening to do some Christmas shopping but before we started we decided to grab some dinner. We looked around the food court was jammed. understandable since it is christmas shopping season. we came upon this place and decided to try it out. Waited in line about 5 min not to bad but as soon as we got to the line we found out why. They had ran out of rice!!! Its a japanese grill most of they’re dishes include rice. They said they only had noodles so we decided ok fine. I then proceeded to ask if i could combine chicken and beef and the cashier tells me theyre out of beef too !! I look at her dumbfounded. they obviously were not prepared for the crowds for lack of poor management. We never got to try the food here but based on reviews i just read i doubt i ever will.

Two words: undercooked chicken. I ordered the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and was utterly disappointed. The veggies was just some disgusting slaw that tasted like it’s been sitting out for days. Awful place.

Ugh, this place suffered the biggest fall from grace ever. When the new Del Amo food court first opened, I ordered the shrimp panko roll here. There was a lady who assembled the roll right in front of my eyes with fresh ingredients. I didn’t really know what to expect from«sushi» at the mall. Let me tell you, I was blown away. SO, SO good. It had the crunchiness of the panko on the outside, a warmness on the inside, it all just came together and dare I say it, that was one of THE best rolls I’ve ever had. And I’ve had plenty of good sushi at actual sushi restaurants. First trip: 5+ stars. Second time I came, I was super excited to eat it again. Same lady made the roll but for some reason the ingredients weren’t as fresh. 5 stars went to 3 stars. I thought maybe it was just a bad day. This most recent visit, I wanted to give it one last shot. Should have know better because there was only the cashier and one other worker there. After I paid my $ 10, the cashier pulls out the pre-assembled sushi! It was room temperature and tasted like it was made at least 12 hours ago. SO disgusting and so very disappointing. UGHHHh I will not be coming back a fourth time.

Food was tasty, but there is not enough value for the money. I ordered the sesame chicken bowl. My gf had the sesame shrimp bowl. The bowl was 40% rice, 40% noodles and 20% chicken/shrimp. And the drinks are a bit of a rip off too. They filled the cup almost to the brim with ice, then filled with soda/cherry blossom lemonade. So basically, if there is a corner to cut, they cut it. Also, two of staff were eating behind the counter. Isn’t that against health code or something?

First off, I am NOT a picky eater. I’ll eat(and enjoy) almost anything you put in front of me. But this place sucks. The service, sure, but that’s almost expected in a mall for court. Me and my family ordered 4 bowls, correct in the receipt, and TWENTYMINUTES later received ALL wrong orders. Not ONE was right. And when brought to the attention of the employee, she says that we should just eat what was given to us, because they were too busy to redo out order correctly! And to top it off, if I wanted my money back, I would have to get in the back of the(long) line. Seriously? I can’t even believe this place is in business. Finally, the food. When we finally got what we initially ordered… It was terrible. Not one redeeming quality. The«mixed veggies» is actually pre-shredded cabbage and carrots from a coleslaw type bag. The chicken had so much gristle it was inedible. The noodles were a mix of raw(actually crunchy) and soggy. How’s does that even happen? I could go on, but this’d place doesn’t deserve the time… or your business. Anywhere else, anything else, including dog food, would be an improvement.

This place opened up over 1 year ago when the mall was refreshed. But it feels like the workers are still not properly trained. I ordered a simple Teriyaki Salmon bowl. Waited for about 10 mins, when the person behind me got her food first I went up to mention my order. They had misplaced my order slip so the cook never got it. So I waited another 10mins, they gave me a Teriyaki Chicken bowl which was not what I ordered. I had to wait another 15mins for my bowl for a total of 25mins to get my Mall food… ridiculous… The girl who took my order actually had an argument with the cook right in front of all the customers, HOWUNPROFESSIONAL. The food counter is nasty with hot and soy sauce stains, no one bother to clean it as where the foods are served. I would stay away from this place and don’t it will remain in business for long.

I was hungry and thought what the heck. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry with a side of mixed veggies. I can’t speak for their planet… but on my planet coleslaw mix does not constitute a «side of mixed veggies»…even if you throw in 2 slices of zucchini and some broccoli crumbs. Sorry to say I will never order from them again. Gelatinous and weak tasting curry sauce, chicken not fully cooked, on top of unseasoned coleslaw mix… well that just says it all! By the way… I ate it all… oh yes I did. I don’t like to waste my hard earned pennies and remember, I said I was hungry!

I like the sushi selection and even the rice bowl entrees they offer. The only thing that sucks about this place is the amount of time you have to wait to either order or wait for your food after ordering. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful whenever I come and ask questions or get food from here. They also started selling boba, which was EHHH, considering it is boba from a mall.

1 star review for mall food? No way! But seriously, there was NO one in the food court when I made my order. Had to remind the cashier twice of the drink and order I made. There was no line, or massive groups of people with orders. It took TEN minutes just to get my drink and I had to remind them several times. While waiting for my teriyaki beef bowl, I see 2 other customers make an order and receive their food. Confused as shit. I go up to the cashier again and ask what’s taking so long. She asks the guy on the grill where’s the order and he just shrugs his shoulders and says I don’t know. So basically I just waited 15 minutes and my order hasn’t even been started. After another 15 minutes, my food finally comes out. At this point, they could serve me dog food, and I’d eat it with a smile. But serving me raw meat? How can they get away with that crap? Half of the meat was RAW. If this place just improved on the little things it would make the experience so much better. One of the most disappointing meals in a long time :\

My wife and I were at Del Amo Fashion Square to see a movie and shop. We decided to eat at the food court for the convenience. We selected Ginza Grill because how bad can you butcher Japanese food and sushi. Boy was the fuss horrible. I ordered the Crispy Sesame Chicken and my wife ordered the Spicey Beef Teriyaki bowl. We split a California Tempura roll. My sesame chicken was over cooked, the sauce was overpowering. The mixed vegetables was diced and not large pieces. I couldn’t finish the meal it was so bad and I am a total chow hound. The sushi was horrible because the tenors baster was so thick. We are about 60% of the top and threw the rest away. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but I doubt it.
