Left wrong review for wrong place. Just noticed it. My previous review was for coffee bean nearby.

Your store here might as well say«Pete’s TOGO». VERY limited seating. My wife loves your coffee, but nothing about this store says«get comfy, enjoy your coffee.» Instead this store screams«thanks for your money, now get the heck out!»

Ordered two medium almond milk vanilla lattes here about 10 this morning. We found out on our way home that they were lukewarm. Seriously, who wants to pay $ 9.50 plus 1.00 tip for tepid coffee? Also, how difficult is it to make sure you use a thermometer to check temperature. The place wasn’t busy, so it had to be carelessness.

I’ve already written a few reviews of Peet’s and their wonderful café au lait and iced mochas, so this review will focus more on this particular Torrance location. It’s roomier than most Peet’s in that it offers a more tables and chairs for seating. I find it a great place to read or get some work done on my laptop. Considering the lack of good coffee places in the South Bay, this is one of your better options. Only downside is that there is no internet access.

Great Peet’s Coffee place in Torrance. In the morning, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you are unsure of what drink to get, they have tons of recommendations. Luckily, they know my palate pretty well, so their recommendations have always been on point. I would say that the vibe from this coffee shop just screams a welcoming atmosphere. Not to mention that they brew coffee every 30 minutes. Try one of their seasonal drinks as well, you can definitely taste the quality!

One of the roomier Peet’s I’ve visited. Needed someplace not too noisy to park for a few hours. Students crowded Starbucks didn’t sound too appealing. A bit further down the road on PCH but worth the extra distance. Shared parking lot with other businesses(TJ’s, Whole Foods, Blaze Pizza, etc.) but plenty of spots to go around. Lots of outlets as other Unilocalers noted. Service was quick and friendly. No complaint about my coffee. Enjoyed having the option of honey and simple syrup in addition to regular sugar. I would come down here again for when I need a good cuppa coffee with my laptop.

Since 2001 I have and will always be a Peets fan! The coffee is the real deal unlike STARBUCKS where you get water down coffee and btw not fresh it is quantity vs quality. If you want excellent coffee go to Peets otherwise you can go where everyone goes that doesn’t want good coffee

This is our neighborhood coffee spot. We frequent Peet’s on weekends and always pleased with the excellent customer service and the quality of their coffee. I’m hooked on the black tie. Come for great coffee & pleasant baristas!

One of the best coffee places I’ve ever been too, Starbucks is nothing compared to the coffee here! Hubby got their Pumpkin Latte, ooooh soo good. I never liked the sbux one but this one, the flavors blend so well, it was smooth and tasty to drink. We really enjoyed our coffee here. Definitely stopping by here again whenever I’m in the plaza.

Ordered Green Tea Mojito. The drink has more of a fruity taste than green tea with mint blended in it.

I prefer Pete’s coffee to Starbucks coffee. The customer service is great they explain the drinks very well the prices are very reasonable. They have a good selection of pastries and drinks. They also sell cappuccino and coffee machines. They have outside seating. I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I did enjoy a cup of tea.

I like this place! I often come here. There is Wholefoods, Trader Joes in the same plaza. Try the hot jasmine tea :).

Definitely one of the better coffee shops to study at in the South Bay. It is usually very quiet in here and once in a while will have a couple of people catching up and talking. But generally most people here are getting work done. I’ve come here to study and have gotten a lot of work done. The staff are very friendly and will help you with the menu if you’re confused on what to order. Also, sometimes if I don’t want to move because I’m studying, but know I have to eat lunch I either grab something quick from the same plaza, usually Trader Joe’s or Nijiya market. But they also have Blaze Pizza, Veggie Grill, Fish Bonz, Whole Foods, etc. :) TIP: The $ 1 off black tie, use it. My sister ordered it, it’s delicious!

Love this location… Dairy & caffeine free options and I’m never having to double check like I do at other places(that may or may not rhyme with barducks). Always friendly service!

I went in today to finally give them a try. I honestly wanted to try their hot tea, since I’d heard so much about them, but since I had a Unilocal check-in offer for $ 1 off a holiday coffee, I decided to use it. The store is nice, nestled right next to Whole Foods in the Rolling Hills Plaza on Pacific Coast Highway and Crenshaw Blvd. I told the barista that this was my first visit here and asked what holiday coffee was his favorite. He lit up knowing that it was my first time there and proceeded to tell me about the different choices that were available. Ultimately, I chose the cinnamon hazelnut latte. The drink came out quickly and was very pretty with waves of cinnamon sitting on top of the foam. I like how they don’t put the top on your drink, because then you can actually see how pretty they make it before you put the top on and ruin it with that first sip:) The drink was okay. The coffee wasn’t that strong which is fine with me. I like my coffee either way. The latte was definitely mild, which I appreciated. I will definitely go back and try something else. I teally want to try the loose teas that they have. There were many good flavors that I saw.

This is a great study spot. I came by a number of times during undergrad, but there were definitely some drawbacks. I would come in to study, but I would always buy a lunch-type item, a snack, and a big drink so I was still being productive to the business; then I would sit in the smallest table I could, and try not to disturb those around me by typing or reading. That said, this location is much better suited for someone who wants to just come in and hang out. The tables NEVER turn over, so sometimes you buy your drink or a snack and you’re just hanging out waiting(and there are only 2 tables outside, so no luck there). And as a habitual coffee-shop studier, I definitely was thrown off by the just hang-out vibe. Additionally, the last time I went there was a gentleman going table-to-table asking all the people sitting at them for money, and the employees did nothing about it. He kept sitting down next to any of us women and trying to make small talk, and there were definitely more than a few people who were really uncomfortable with the situation. I certainly felt uncomfortable with the way the whole situation was handled and never went back.

I wish this joint did not let laptop squatters come in and take up space without purchasing anything. I came in and this paying gentleman could not sit down because some parasite was using Peet’s as his office space. What is the deal with making moochers comfortable? The store manager was no help…

Their coffee is THEBOMB — the Manager SUCKS. Yesterday I had a less than pleasing experience with«the manager». I come in weekly for my half or pound coffee. You receive a free coffee with every half or pound purchase. I have a TON of those free cards, because if you don’t want it immediately they give you a complimentary card to use later. So I ask to double my complimentary cup handing one back to «the manager» to upgrade to a larger size, and usually the clerk charges me the difference somewhere around .17 from the purchased price. NOTYESTERDAY. NOWAY«the manager» was going to upgrade my coffee. She was argumentative and just plain icky about it. When I said, often the clerks upgrade me it and she said well its not allowed, quoting something from the back of the card and then saying«I’m the manager». WHATEVER! Get Over Yourself! To «the manager»: It would have been nothing to you to pour the already made coffee into a larger cup charge me the .17 cents and have a happy customer, but you chose the ugly route. I hope that makes you feel very ‘managerial’, when in reality it shows that you lack the skills to be a good manager and custodian of customer service and an set an example to those under your supervision in your store. Let me be clear, the rest of the staff here is cheerful and friendly ALLTHETIME. I’v been coming to this store for several years and never(obviously) completed a transaction with«the manager»
