Also working with Jon on website design. Very helpful, communicative and explains coding things to a website newbie like myself very calmly.
I’m hiring him to do a website and a logo and have been very pleased with his work ethic and demeanor.
And now that he is moving into his new store, I will be bringing my new piece in for him to frame. I can’t afford to do that often on a limited budget, but his prices allow me to do it on occasion.

John does outstanding work for a very reasonable price. He really has a great eye and will advise you on how to frame and mat a piece of art. He never ever rushes you, no matter how small your picture is… He is a true pro who used to be the Art and framing Manager at Aaron Brothers. By the way, many of the people in the framing department at Aaron’s are very personable but have next to no knowledge about framing. Besides that, Aaron’s prices can be ridiculous.
I have now used John for several years and wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.
You will be happy with his work.

Jon was great to work with and very responsive both over email and on the phone. We had a large vintage map we wanted framed and we were quite happy with the final result (and the reasonable price). Definitely give Jon a call before paying more at one of the retail stores.

Jon is amazing. I had a very large oil painting framed by Jon and his work is top quality. I would recommend him to anyone. He is great at what he does. I am a life time customer and will always take my art to him for framing. Don’t be thrown off by the fact that he runs his business from his garage. Trust me he is an amazing person very professional and will deliver. You will not find better service for a better price. I saved about $ 600 by using Jon vs Aaron Brothers and the quality of the framing by Jon is Superior.

John really did a great job. I found him on Unilocal,didnt have any clue about framing, or what would be the best option for a painting i picked up in Peru. He framed my picture in about a weeks time and did an incredible job. He really made the painting look so professional and there were a few stretch marks in the paint and he managed to make them not so visible. I give him my highest regards and reference. Thanks!

I had a painting on a large piece of cardboard that my friend made that I wanted framed. Since it was a unique size, I knew I would have to get it custom framed. Jon did an amazing job with it, and made it look really nice with glass on top, spacers, and a cool dark gray metallic frame that went perfectly with the painting. Definitely high quality work. Usually, custom frames can be crazy expensive but Jon did it all for such a reasonable price! He was really nice and professional too! I would definitely go back to him again if I ever need custom frames in the future.

Like the previous reviewer said, Jon is a master at his kraft. I don’t know too much about framing or art myself, but Jon has a certain exuberance for what he does. No doubt, I was a little hesitant in going to get my framing done because he runs his business from his garage; but it paid off in the long run. I was desperate because I had to get a new frame from the broken one thinking it was just the glass that broke. At first, Jon informed me that it wasn’t just the glass that broke from the trip but the whole frame. I was determined to get it fixed after calling several framing businesses in the south bay and being turned off by the price and turn around time. He gave me an option right off the bat that actually made it ten times better looking. The cool things about this transaction was that it wasn’t super expensive (like the guys from manhattan beach I called) it would be done within a day, and it was exactly 5 minutes away from home which made it super convenient.
Jon made me a happy customer and relieved that I was able to handle getting a new frame with no problem. If you have any pictures or art you’d like to get framed, I highly suggest going to this gentlemen, because he’s simply an expert at what he does. When I buy more art for my house, I’ll most definitely go to Jon for all my major framing.

Jon is a master framer! He knows what colors, textures and frame size work with each piece!
He spends a lot of time with me figuring out exactly what works. He has a keen eye for color combinations.
I’ve had quite a few pieces framed by Jon, including a piece that was in a show at the Torrance Art Museum!
I highly recommend him! His prices are very reasonable and fair. Way less than Aaron Brothers or other places I’ve had art framed.

Jon is not just a cost competitive framer who provides excellent quality. He is also creative and provides great ideas on how to use the frame and mat to complement your piece. I agree with Frank E. that he is largely a well kept secret and deserves to have his business grow and prosper. He has also developed some interesting and unique ways to finish frames that are all his own, but will look great around your piece.

Jon does an excellent job and if you are in a hurry, he will certainly accommodate your request. Most times I just let him pick out the best frame and mat for my pastel paintings, which works out just fine. His prices are quite competitive which is important to me as I am constantly framing my art work.

Jon and his crew are top of the line. Whatever you have that needs to be framed, they can do it better and faster and at a more competitive price than anyone else around here and I am not kidding! This is southbay”s best kept secret and it’s just a matter of time before they rise above all the others.
Jon is very good in picking the right frame and mat (I am a watercolor painter) that compliments the work. Lots of times I go in there with a pretty good idea of what I want until Jon shows me his picks and everytime I end up going with his suggestions. They are just better! Five stars.
