Central Cafe

So difficult to talk too… Why can they satisfy customers. I got ripped off for $ 1. The lady didn’t want understand so I gave up and let her keep it.

Food selection is okay, the taste is not that great.
Tasted the Thursday special which is KBBQ, rice, and veggies and a soda.
There’s a dollar charge to refill the soda, so sip wisely.
It’s usually people that work around in the other buildings that come to eat here, I work nearby, and only ate here about 4 times.
The prices are too high for me, if the food tasted better then I would understand, but the food isn’t great.
Never came back again, when the lady charged me to refill soda, and probably won’t ever.

I work in this business park and it’s convenient to have a café next door. It’s a little pricey though. I must admit, I’ve tried a few things and it’s nothing spectacular but their chicken salad salad is very good. It’s the first salad I can eat and do not need dressing.

After having to deal with shitty business park food for the past two years, I was very excited to see that Central Café has had a change in ownership. Not that it would be hard to beat the terrible offerings that Central’s previous owners used to put out, but the new management has really stepped it up. This place puts Mio’s Eatery in check.
Complete with a brand new menu, and a fresh remodel, I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich that I had here today. The food was fresh, reasonably priced and the owner was really nice to me. I’m going to be sure to try their breakfast stuff as it looks really good.
By nature, I’m all about minimal input and maximal output, and I was tired of having to drive all over Torrance for lunch. Now I can just walk over to Central.

Oh, business park cafes. You leave me with little diversity in choices and regret when i forget to pack my wayyy better quality frozen burritos.
This place listed Wagyu Korean BBQ as one of its specialties. After receiving it, it looked and tasted something of a generic, processed meatlike consistency. $ 1.75 4″ diameter bowl of rice? Never again.

Ah, the other place to eat in my little technology center hood. This guy doesn’t actually sit in the PS Business Parks like Mio’s, but it’s only an extra 20 feet in the other direction in the next center over. He is also the lesser of two evils (and by evils I mean places I normally wouldn’t eat).
On a comparison scale, Central Café is ever so slightly cheaper, they offer small and large sizes, The quality of the food pounds Mio’s into the ground, there are combos where salad or soup is the side option, and they actually have a legit veggie option. The closest Mio’s came to a veggie option is a sandwich with four melted cheeses and a tomato. Far from any healthy notion.
On a standalone basis, still a little pricey, but it’s just the nature of the business around here. It’s mostly a sandwich place, and you would have a better go of sandwiches at a subway, but they are tasty enough that it’s not painful to go for convenience. Something I really do enjoy is their half sandwich and soup or salad special. I am a fan of their veggie sandwich. It’s got cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, and standard condiments. I also like their meatball soup. I know what you might be thinking because I thought it the first time I heard of meatball soup… eww? I say nay my friends. Delish! It’s filled with spinach, little pasta balls, and only a mild amount of tiny meatballs. So good! The broth is on the salty side, so I am careful not to gulp down too much of it, but really it is a good soup. On top of it all with my little combo, they offer a free bag of small chips. Not the ones filled with hundreds of calories, but the grab bags that give the perfect amount of unhealthiness to subdue cravings without actually doing a ton of damage.
There places to sit, magazines to read, and a good atmosphere for a group of work people to chat. When I can’t get away, this is certainly my first choice.
