Food is good I always enjoy their enchiladas but the service is horrible. Good luck getting your food while it’s hot.

I think this place is great! Fantastic service, excellent food, and the top 3 biscuit place for me. I love biscuits and gravy and I’m always on the hunt for great places. Reading other reviews I was surprised at what an acceptional«greasy spoon» thus was. Can’t Wait To Try Lunch AND Dinner

I will admit I did not have high expectations going in. Just by looking at the menu it was obvious that this would be your run of the mill roadside diner. Somehow, they still managed to underwhelm me. I don’t know if it was the way the staff openly stared at us as we walked in, the numerous flies buzzing around us while we ate, or the sheer apathy of the waitress, but if I and my companions were not so exhausted we would have left immediately. When I asked the waitress for a recommendation she acted as if she’d never seen the menu. She finally reluctantly suggested a Cobb salad, which I ordered. Imagine my surprise when our sides arrived and I received a side salad… in addition to my entrée salad.(Note: the side salads consist of entirely of wilty lettuce and saltine crackers). The actual entrée was mostly grated cheese and cut up sandwich meat – topped with an overcooked hard boiled egg. I had a hard time even finding the greens, but sure enough it was the same old lettuce. Even so, I seemed to get the better end of the deal. My companion’s meals were pretty obviously frozen. I think of the four of us only one person finished their plate. (It does appear that the restaurant was recently remodeled – and I will admit it looked nice. But no one goes to a restaurant to see light fixtures.)

We had just woken up, and looked for something to eat. This place was open so we made our way inside. For 4 in the morning it was rather empty, with one matron and one guy in the back cooking. The prices are really good and the food… amazing I had the french toast combo plate… it was just like being home… it was so delicious. My husband had the tex mex breakfast… no complaints there. The coffee was perfect. Off the 97 there is a little place called the branding iron… a great place to stop and eat. Even got to talk to the chef. «I cook like im gonna eat it» He told us We made his shift He was super nice and so was the matron We are always gonna stop here when we come up the Us 97.

It’s not that big of deal… But my boyfriend and i didn’t get acknowledged for a few minutes after we walked in(my pet peeve) About 5 minutes later we got water and they took our order for drinks. Its self seating by the way, is that normal? The remodel is nice and i get that Washington Beef is across the street but i personally didn’t care or appreciate the flies i had to share my table with. Gross. I had the chef salad it was great except they ran out of hardboiled eggs… My boyfriend had the hamburger, they’re huge and delicious. He tried getting some soup but they ran out… We took a slice of pie to go for later and i was happy to see they’re big slices. I’m giving this 4 stars because despite these things that weren’t that big a deal Branding Iron is still one of the better and nicer places to eat in Toppenish. So stop by. :)

Staff is extremely rude and should not be working customer service jobs. Food is okay for the place but I would never come here again just because of the pure bad service. Don’t bring kids or families because you’ll only be greeted by lazy and unhappy staff. Could be a good place, restaurant needs a restaffing. Bar is managed well, but also needs serious waiter restaffing.

Friendly service. Very clean inside. The bacon was pretty good, thicker and bigger than we expected. The sausage was OK, a pretty standard quality patty of generous size. Biscuits and gravy(my usual breakfast order at any diner) were nothing to rave about. Unsure that they are actually«homemade» biscuits as advertised. Gravy definitely from a packet. Meh. The O.J. was way too expensive for a small glass of concentrate. guess they have to pay for the nice remodel somehow. Not cheap($ 30 for two meals, 2 ojs), but not a gouge either. we pass through Toppenish a couple times each year and will probably eat here again though we would avoid the pricey low quality juice.

«I ate it Ill rate it» I have ate at the Branding Iron when I was in my mid 20’s in my early 30’s then now over 50 years old. The inside is updated and clean. Waitresses super nice and open to your special requests. It is a small country town café. nothing fancy except their great tasting homemade pies. The steak is thin like for a sandwich but was big and came with the best corn ever and a soft yellow roll and good fresh salad and freshly baked potato. The Nachos here are a mile high. Good Breakfast. The all nice staff makes the meal more enjoyable.

11÷30÷14. Went to breakfast here asked for a fresh cup of coffee to the older waitress. Noticed she poured the leftover coffee from the coffee pot n poured into a cup and brought it over to table. I asked is this fresh. She replied it was just made ! Do I have to make you a fresh pot every time? I replied no you don’t. I will wait for the new pot to be done. Got a ugly look. Needless to say she de finely spoiled my breakfast!!! I will not go there again. Period

The food was good and the service was excellent. My folks just moved to the area and have found the perfect place for them to get a good meal. My mom got the enchilada superior and loved it(she’s a Mexican food snob). My bro got a club sandwich which was loaded and looked good. My dad and I a hamburger with endless fries, a soda and small bowl of pudding for $ 4.99 that was really good. The burger deal was the lunch special and the server told me they do that deal a lot. The place was very reasonably priced. It is a diner so don’t expect a fine dining experience but if you want to sit down and get filled up and have fast friendly service this is the place e to go in toppenish.

Horrid food, absolutely terrible. I ordered the large combo on the Mexican menu and could hardly eat any of it. The waitress’s was very nice, however. There was another lady standing behind the bar talking, talking, talking. She did not help much and there were few people in the place. I will not be back.

So… let me qualify this review and say that after a long night of drinking and dancing at a wedding in the middle of an orchard, this was the kind of greasy spoon I needed to dine at in order to function properly the next day. Breakfast was basic and good. I really wanted the dish in the picture but they no longer sere it – wait, isn’t that false advertising? :-) In any case, the service was great and the staff was quite patient with our loud and obnoxious group. I’d come back if I found myself nearby and hungry.

The Branding Iron is your classic eastern Washington diner, truck stop, disco /nightclub. From the restaurant there are beautiful views of a corn field and rolling hills. The service was good and the food reminded me a lot of things my grandma use to make. While she may not have been a good cook there’s something to be said for comfort food. Unfortunately we forgot to try our luck with the claw machine.

A strange little place with a perplexing menu and a wide selection of offering. A full breakfast option with Blueberry Waffles that I would not mention to my mom but would contemplate ordering again if I had a bigger tooth for sweets. A friendly wait staff that complimented my moustache and asked us if we were out of town.(Why yes, we are. California.) Quick service. Large selection of Mexican food lunch items, paired next to pancakes. Positively dreadful coffee(as in, worse than regular diner coffee) and a claw machine that was not rigged(we won a lion with adorable eyes!).

Now this is the stererotypical side-of-the-highway-on-a-long-road trip diner. In fact, it’s perfect, especially in the land of the historical murals. Definitely a locals place, of course we didn’t see any other restaurants in Toppenish other than the casino. Their specialty is the plate sized cinnamon bun, but I opted for the omelet the first time around(yup, so good I visited it twice), and the second time I had the country fried steak(perfect road trip food). Both were… well…exactly what I expected. Service was down-home friendly.
