The annual Mother’s Day family brunch selected the Versailles Ballroom at the Ramada Hotel in Toms River NJ for 2015. And what a wonderful experience — much better than anticipated! For 2015, our group consisted of about 16 people and we were seated at 2 table’s side-by-side in the atrium area. The ballroom space itself was decked out for the Mother’s Day brunch that featured 2 seating times. One of the factors that made this so successful was the wide open spaces — for a full ballroom, it never once felt crowded. The brunch buffet allowed guest to access the hot and cold food selections from either side. Several stations served up different options, including mountains of fresh fruits and salads, and a hot carving station with delicious turkey and roast beef. The dessert table(see photo) was spectacular, complete with an ice sculpture! The food items were continuously maintained and available to the end of the service. It was clear to me the venue has hired top quality staff to oversee and manage this aspect of their business. Our server Margaret(for both tables) was delightful, attentive and paid special attention to the many Mother’s in our party(there were at least 4). During our visit, one of the managers also stopped by to welcome us. Other than the line to gain entrance to the space(since everyone was arriving for the same 2pm seating), this was a truly a spectacular experience. I would certainly recommend and return to this venue. Although I did not stay at the hotel during this visit, if the high quality experience with the Food & Beverage department is any indication, then the hotel services would be equally wonderful. Definitely consider the Versailles Ballroom for your wedding or group event.

I must have missed the memo about all my friends getting married at the same time. So it was like my fourth wedding in the past month and a half, this time for one of my best friends from home(hey Alexa!!). They had a medium sized ceremony at a small little church right outside of Princeton and had the reception at Versailles Ballroom… which was amazing. I seriously had the freakin best time in the world. The ballroom had a gorgeous setup that was backlit by these ambient purple lights. I have no idea how they did it, but it looked awesome. The bride and groom were beautiful, and the staff was super accommodating and personable. Honestly, I was obligated to write this review just because of how SMOOTH everything went. Every single wedding I’ve been to has a hitch somewhere along the line but the past weekend just went by in a blur of perfectness. Great time with great friends at a great ballroom. Versailles, I shall not forget you!
