Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza is too inconsistent, the food is not that good for the price they charge. I tried to locations in tom’s river, and they both were not good. Save your money, you were warned.

Best wings I’ve ever had. Hands down. Order them with the hot peppers. Caesar salad is fantastic as well! Will definitely come back.

I went here on a Thursday night with my daughter. The place was practically empty. I ordered a pizza(zucchini and prosciutto) and my daughter ordered a chicken and pesto sandwich. The pizza was horrible. I have never tasted dough so bland in my life. My daughter said the sandwich was pretty good. By the way, we also waited too long for our food since the place was not busy. When we got home I became ill(I will spare you the details) and so did my daughter. There are so many decent pizzerias in this area, this place is definitely not one of them!!!

Heard so much about this place I finally tried it. Went for lunch and had Chicken Francaise which was very good. Service left MUCH to be desired. The waiter acted as if he was doing us a favor. Pasta was cold. We went a few weeks ago because I heard so much about the pizza. We had the broccoli rabe and sausage as an appetizer which was good and ordered a pizza WELLDONE and THIN. It was the worse pizza I ever ate. It was cooked on top but the dough underneath was raw. It was like eating rubber. Both time the service was awful.

Not impressed, two visits and both were substandard, the food mediocre and the service non existant even though we were the only table no one paid attention, our pizza sat on the bar while the server was talking to another associate. We live very close and will drive right by.

Friendly service & excellent cannoli. The Calamari appetizer was tender & a very generous portion. The Homemade Linguine with Pesto was tasty & not too oily. The Pizza de Mare(seafood pizza) was flavorful & generously topped. However, the Penne with Vodka Sauce savored primarily of butter — flat & somehow too heavy while not being thick enough to stick to the pasta. The Gorgonzola Pizza with Grilled Zucchini & Prosciutto was an interesting, but ultimately unsuccessful, combination. We should have known that Gorgonzola — a very salty cheese similar to Blue– would overwhelm when combined with salty Prosciutto. The zucchini was chopped too finely to counterbalance the salt. It would have been better with a simple grilled chicken, or better yet with fresh tomato or sweet pepper, instead of the Prosciutto. The crust of both pizzas was fresh & cooked well with a nice char on each, & the space is clean & airy/open, with high ceilings & blonde wood throughput. We will return again, if nothing else for the rich Cannoli, but will choose our menu items carefully.

Tried this place over a handful of times at different locations. Good concept and advertising but their food leaves a lot to be desired. They’re also expensive. If they’re going to charge those prices then they need to rethink their recipes and/or at least make everything consistent. Their food isn’t wow either. I would say average but even the average pizzerias in the area are a bit better than Nino’s and you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

You could probably consider this your typical pizza place, but I think the bar pies set it above everything else. The brick-oven, thin-crusted pizza is worth stopping in for. But before I get to the pizza, you need to know about the Balsamic Calamari. This is a MUST. I get it every time I go and love if more and more each time. I’m not a fan of balsamic vinaigrette at all, but the think reduction they serve is like candy. I liked it so much that I got the bar pie that comes with the reduction drizzled on it. This was a white pie with Gorgonzola, zucchini, and some other stuff I can’t even remember. It was just THAT good. The calamari and pizza alone is enough to give this place 4 stars. The service isn’t all-that(although Kait is awesome), but the food is great, so it’s worth it.

Service was good, but the food was sub-par at best. Pizza was soggy and tasteless. Salad and apps ok. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Soooooo disappointed. We love the puffy charred crust of the pizza at Nino’s Brick and TR locations. Stopped the the mall today and was excited to try the new location. Much different. All four of our individual pizzas tasted like a prefab cardboard crust. Tell tale pin holes in the bottom. Dry and tasteless. No char. Don’t bother.

Let’s me just say that I want this place to do well. Luckily I have never had a bad server, but it seems that the food has been a little disappointing. I like the location, like the inside of the restaurant, love that I can BYOB, but the food there gives me major heartburn. The food looks good on the menu. Unfortunately, everything is believe it or not, too salty/over flavored and extremely oily. The first time I went, I never got the bruschetta, but the second time I went I got it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t fresh or appetizing. I was happy to see it come to the table while waiting for our appetizers, but when I tried it, the crustini was crispy, but stale and dripping in oil. I wasn’t aware that was possible. The tomatoes in the bruschetta were obviously old as it was pretty cold and on top of it, the pieces weren’t firm and were actually falling apart and mushy. Believe me, I used to work in a restaurant and cut buckets of tomatoes every day. For the pizza, I liked the crust, but all the pizzas I have had were pretty bad otherwise. Usually too salty/over flavored. Firecracker calamari was also over flavored. Regular calamari had a bland marinara sauce.

Lived in Pier Village in Long Branch, across the street from Sirena Italian Restaurant… Asbury Park Press wrote terrible review on everything from food to service and what happened? The Management had Group meeting with ALL employees and you can be sure it wasn’t a friendly meeting. Why talk about Sirena? I see the same thing at Nino’s at the Mall. To have only 5 reviews and Avg Review is 2.5 Stars is Horrible!(notice the Reviews that aren’t included, obviously, from employees to bring their ratings up; try bringing the Service up) I had the Sunset Special at least 3 times. Success with the Chicken Francaise; had to return the Chicken Parm as it was cut so thin and the chef burnt it so it was like rubber. The Manager took it back, never apologized, never changed his«could care less» expression. But, did i learn from my bad experiences? No! Groupon had coupon and Nino’s included reviews advertising the Groupon Coupon including the Sunset Dinner… show up couple weeks back… order the Sunset Dinner… had Groupon Coupon on my table… waitress saw it when she brought my salad and said i couldn’t order it… said it was already discounted(even tho she told me that if i ordered the regular portion it was bigger; smaller portion is not discount!)…so, what did i do? duh! I left! Other restaurants more than happy to get my business considering I eat out so much and club member of Friday’s, Ruby Tuesday, etc. I must add that I met the Owner on a prior occasion(unfortunately, after waiting at table for 15 minutes to get any server to come over when the place was empty). He appeared to be responsible person. Will he call a meeting of All employees to see why his ratings are so bad? Let’s stay tuned! ps…hey, Owner, what happened to the plate of Bruschetta over Garlic Bread that i got the first 3 or 4 times i came for dinner? Wasn’t served to me or anyone the last time i was there. Classic case of decreasing costs when business is bad?

We decided to use Nino’s catering services for my daughter’s 7th birthday party. We had family over the house and wanted to get a few trays of Italian food. The prices were good and we decided to get ½ tray of meatballs, ½ tray of baked ziti and ½ tray of eggplant Parmesan. The meatball tray was made with 2 different kinds of meatballs… 2 very different recipes. I suspect they were two different kinds of frozen meatballs because they were 2 different sizes, too. We were surprised to see that the eggplant parm was served over ziti pasta in that tray as well. We’ve gotten eggplant from other restaurants and the whole tray was filled with eggplant, sauce and cheese. We felt that by serving the eggplant over pasta, this was a really cheap way to fill the tray and was a waste for us since we had also ordered another tray of pasta. The ziti tasted ok. The best food we got from them was the large platter of salad — nicely dressed with plenty of cheese, roasted red peppers and all together a good italian salad. It was alright, but I doubt we would cater with them again based on this experience.

This place is absolutely the worst with customer service!!! I tried multiple times to give them the benefit of the doubt because I work in the facility they’re in. Every single time they messed up my order, took entirely too long to show up, and they promise a compensation but will literally lie up and down to you. Bunch of lying con artist who can’t get their stuff in order. Please change management.

Had the wings which where amazing. They where crispy and prepared in the coal oven. Also had the Sicilian antipasto which had fresh mozzarella and lots of cured meats and olives and roasted peppers. Then I topped of my meal with a tasty crispy traditional crispy coal fired pizza. Anthony the owner was on the floor making sure every guest was getting top notch service. The mall needed this place to help ease the pain of shopping at the ocean county mall. Try it !!!

This place has such good food — but the service and speed are lacking severely. I don’t care if it’s a busy Saturday night or a weekday lunch. The service and speed should be up to par and the same every time. Twice I have been here and have been wowed by the food but have been so upset with the service and how long the food takes to come out. Also — it is not appetizing to watch your waiter/waitress make your«fresh» salads or stuff your cannolis with their bare hands at the bar out in the open. It grosses people out. The first time I came here was for late lunch and no one was in the restaurant. The waiter was completely unattentive and the food came out super slow. We were at the restaurant for a good hour and a half at least. The second time was a busy Saturday night with a larger party. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come over. Already a bad start. It then took 30 minutes for appetizers to come out and another 30 minutes for dinner. You would think since our appetizers were taking so long we would of been brought bruschetta like the other tables, but I had to ask to get it and we only received one small plate when we had a party of 8.(If I knew a big party was waiting that long, bring over 2 plates, come on). All in all, we were at the restaurant for 2 hours. I’m all about sitting back, relaxing and having a good meal but come on — get your stuff together Nino’s. Like I said if the service and speed of the kitchen matched the quality of the food — easily would be 5 stars.

Came here for a nice dinner with my boyfriend and our server took forever to get over to our table. Once he finally did get there it took about 15 mins to get our drinks and an even longer wait for our appetizer and salad. We were ready to order completely by the *first* time our server came over. We had to wait a long time for refills on drinks and many things were forgotten(plates, red pepper shaker etc) and we were left sitting waiting for a long while. Usually when there is an empty cup at the edge of be table that means«I need a refill please» evidently not here. Once the food came out the server asked too many times if everything was ok. Felt like he was rushing us out. So disappointing because this location is so close to home. The food is delicious so it wasn’t a total bust but I would advise the servers to step it up.
