The food here is always delicious. Went here with my Dad for lunch and got lunch specials at 7.50 each. We got soup, egg roll, entrée and ice cream! I agree with previous post Best in Toms River! Others are just meh. Service here is also great!

I may have tried every Chinese place in Toms River and this is the best one. The chicken is always tender(unlike some other places.) The Garlic Sauce is the best I’ve had anywhere. My favorite thing about this place is that they don’t overcook the rice or vegetables. I like my rice firm and veggies a little crunchy.

Absolutely fantastic. My friends and I have never been disappointed coming here for the last few months. The people are always very fast, and very friendly. The food is always on point, too. The lunch special is fantastic, $ 7.50 for a soup, egg roll, and nice size entrée. I refuse to go anywhere else.

This place is pretty good. Didn’t even know it existed until hunger struck. The place is just not for pick up/delivery; very nice inside. The owner is very pleasant. We were just stopping by to check out the menu, but decided to sit down and eat after him being so welcoming. It was a good first experience. We had Singapore me fun, spring rolls, and chicken… all of which were delicious! No complaints.

I’m surprised to see the poor reviews maybe they’re a prior owner. We had take out tonight and it was very good. We had chicken lomein, general tso chicken, sweet n sour chicken, egg rolls, won ton soup, pork fried rice, white rice and also egg drop soup. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Even their fried noodles were awesome and the dipping sauce for them was great! I usually throw away the fried noodles but the ones from here are tasty! Whoever I spoke to on the phone and I think she was the same lady I saw when I picked up the food was really nice, too. They were a bit expensive though but worth it. I will definitely order take out again!

Years ago this was Golden Gate chinese restaurant. It was very good, one of the better places to eat chinese food, and then slowly declined to awful. Then it was bought and the name changed to Golden Garden. The food is still awful. Three of us actually took a few bites of our food sat for a few minutes asked for the check and left, of course leaving that terrible food behind.

The name has changed to Golden Garden. This is a fun location for groups and lunch. Service is excellent. However this is not a fancy spot. You can pet the fish and rub Buddas belly. This is the kind of place you needn’t bother with to-go boxes. What ever you don’t eat, leave behind. I promise it won’t be any better the next day.

Was here for lunch yesterday. It is now the Golden Garden and entirely different. Sorry to say the won ton soup was awful. Super heavy won tons with an awful hard filling. Not sure what the filling was but not good. Broth seemed artificial. The luncheon prices where two dollars more than Tang Dynasty which has delicious food and way more generous servings. Won’t come back here again.

We use to love Golden Gate. It is now under new ownership and we have only been there once since. It is different, not in a bad way, just not the same. We will miss the previous owners. Thank you for the delicious dumplings and soup!

I can not rate this restaurant because it’s currently not owned by Mary anymore. So with that said, we cant order Mary’s famous dumplings. We will miss her dumplings and other dishes we loved from the many years we had eaten their. I’m guessing she retired. Thank you Mary for the wonderful memories my family and friends had experienced.
