The food is average at best. The taco dinner comes in weird shaped hard tacos. The wait staff was fast but not friendly and very short spoken. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again.

This place is called Cielito lindo and Cielito lindo it is. This place has great food and the atmosphere is good too! The waiters are very friendly and attentive! We will be coming back for sure!

First impressions. This is no longer Los Pinos, it is now known as Cielito Lindo. I was a big fan of Los Pinos many years ago, this place is a lot like it. Margaritas leave a lot to be desired, but the food is pretty decent. If you’re a fan of «Chicken Diablo» dishes you will like their«Chicken Caliente.» Friendly staff. Won’t be my last visit.

Yuck. If you like your Tex Mex food swimming in grease, this is a place for you. my beans, that came way earlier than my meal, as if they were an appetizer, looked like they were more grease than beans. That was just a harbinger of things to come. my chipotle chicken was also swimming in grease from the cheese they used. even the rice was greasy. service was not bad but not prompt and required asking for drinks refills several times before they arrived. would not recommend to anyone.

I’m sad to have to write this review. I grew up in Tomball and have been eating here all my life but last night I witnessed behavior I simply could not believe. As we received our chips and queso, the waiter spilled the jalapeño juice from the plate of jalapeños down my husbands leg and right into his socks and shoes.(Side note: they were brand NEW shoes as well). The waiters response was to laugh about it, which of course no one else found funny. We mentioned that at least my husbands drink should be comped and tried to move on and enjoy our meal. When we went to the counter to pay, his drink was still on our ticket. We told the lady at the counter, whom I believe is the owners wife(like I said before, I’ve been eating here all my life and she’s been at the restaurant since I was a little girl) that my husbands drink was supposed to be comped because of the issue I described before. She told my husband in these words exactly, «We always have problems with your RACE! The American men, the Mexican men, no problems. But you, you have a problem! Don’t come back here no more!» My husband is black and I am white and we had treated my parents, who are both white, to a family dinner together and to watch some ignorant woman make a comment like this to my husband over $ 10 truly brought tears to my eyes. I woke up this morning still in disbelief that in 2014 someone, anyone would believe, let alone say anything like that out loud. Especially a business owner or manager as some sort of conflict resolution over 10 freaking dollars! That type of behavior in any scenario, let alone this day and age is absolutely DISGUSTING! I have never been more disappointed in another human, especially in my home town.

Suppa– Went with a friend and his family. This is their place. Met at the door like we were family ;) Seated immediately. Service– Good and personal. Timely. Food– Awesome. Salsa is just right! Margarita’s– eh. Price– reasonable. For the amount of food, the quality, presentation = Yeah. Well, worth the money. 5 adults and 2 kids, for right at a $ 100. I recommend it.

First time here and the chip and salsa are fresh, the staff friendly. Ordered a #1 combo — good guacamole(real), tasty queso, nice ground beef chalupa and a good cheese enchilada. All served at the appropriate temperature. I added on some charro beans and they were good too. Will bring my family here to try some more items. Another nice thing — lots of parking and I don’t smell cigarettes. :-)

I give this place no stars. Their service was slow and inattentive. We spoke with the manager to see if he could fix is a flautas plate and he quoted us a price. When they brought the food out it was incorrect. When they brought the bill they double charged us and the manager argued with us the charges. I will never return and on our way in to the restaurant a person left saying there was hair in their queso.

Ordered lunch chicken and beef fajitas. Dry no flavor chicken. Salsa has no flavor. Chips were cold and thick. Ordered queso dip hoping to find some flavor, but tasted like velveta melted in a bowl. Front entrance flooded with cig smoke.yuk. Service was good but the tea refill guy kept staring at my wife as he text in the back part of the resturaunt and talked on the phone. Did not feel clean looking at the floor in back kitchen.

Los Pinos will always have a special place in my heart. When I was in middle and high school, I came almost every single Saturday with my family before we went grocery shopping. Many of the same people still work there many years later, recognize our family, and are incredibly sweet. My sister is autistic, and every SINGLE time we’ve come in they’ve always transferred her hot meal onto a cold plate in the kitchen so she doesn’t accidentally burn herself… we’ve never asked them to do that, they just do. That’s good people, folks. Many other times I came with my friends during high school because not only was it a great place to hang out, an entire meal rarely topped 9 or 10 bucks. What a great boon for us teenagers! When I came home during college, Los Pinos was invariably the first place I wanted to eat when I made to back to the Lone Star state and was ready for some delicious tex-mex. I can say pretty confidently that I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and can’t remember a single thing I disliked. I was genuinely upset when I heard that it had burned down during my time away at college, and just as elated to her that, even after receiving a fancy new name and some fresh paint, the food still tasted the same. Keep up the great work, Los Pinos. You guys are the best.

I’ve been eating at Los Pinos for years with family and friends. This is the old type of Mexican food I grew up eating as a child and it’s delicious. The food is served piping hot, including the plate; just the way it’s supposed to be served. If you want true Tex-Mex food, Los Pinos is it. We live about 15 miles away, but make the trip at least twice a month to eat here.

Mostly due to nostalgia, one of my all time favorite Mexican restaurants. Now under a new name since it burnt down a little while back. I cannot remember the new name however, and still refer to it as Los Pinos. Same great food though.

Los Pinos had caught fire from my understanding and reopened under a new name Cielito Lindo, so my wife and I decided to check it out. The food wasn’t bad at all and decent for the price. However the service was terrible! We had to wait nearly 15 minutes just to place our order. I had to flag down a waiter to request more tea for my wife and then wait another 10 minutes just to have it refilled. This was only because our order had just come out. The waiter did have a 10 top he was waiting on in the bar, but I still don’t see much of an excuse for me not to get the same level of service that the big table had received. I will return just for the food and hopefully next time the service will have improved.

I’ve been here quite a few times with my family and have always been happy. Food is good — I had the mole enchiladas most recently and they were particularly good. Yay for good mole! Chips and salsa are more than adequate, the chips are particularly good and salsa is just fine. They are super prompt with bringing more chips which is always nice. Service was friendly and not too overbearing. Atmosphere is a-ok. Ok, so all that is fine, but get this — my mole chicken enchilada dinner that came with rice and a side of bean soup… was $ 6.50. holy crap… why don’t they have places like this where I live now. I’m so sad.

Great restaurant in Tomball. Food is cheap, and service is good! Not the usual poor service around here or the«not my table, not my problem» mentality, everyone tends to chip in in serving you. It is also very fast, at least during no peak times i’ve gone. We went right when they opened and had where eating our enchiladas within 15 minutes. My new favorite lunch time spot.

WOW! First off you walk up to the place in a rather old strip center and are surprised by a lovely covered patio and a deliciously intricate glass front door. You walk in and are met by the full bar — as well as the greeter to seat you. There are murals all over the walls and other cultural art pieces on shelves near the ceiling. The one oddity is the booths are a bright teal blue and the chairs are also teal but leaning more toward the green. Freshly made medium thick chips were brought to the table with red and green salsa. Neither of which was laden with too much cilantro — an odd trend I’ve noticed in many Mexican places in recent years as if this was the only seasoning on the planet. The green was tomatillo rather than avocado based as it’s supposed to be. I ordered the enchiladas mole — chicken enchiladas topped with mole sauce and white cheese. They were ASTOUNDING. Even if you provided me with irrefutable proof they do not make their own mole sauce from scratch I’d still slap you in the mouth and call you a liar. Apparently the waiter thought I was totally gringa because he says to me as he delivered my food«chocolate enchiladas.» So later when he came to refill my water I told him just how amazing I thought the enchiladas were especially the mole sauce and he felt the need to explain to me that mole is made from chocolate. SIGH. Yes, I know what mole sauce is made from I told him it’s rare fro me to not have any in my house. My one and only complaint was the bean soup. It should have been called onion and cilantro soup with pinto beans. Obviously I am not a big fan of cilantro and I can usually tolerate it when it’s been cooked down as much as it was in this dish but the quantity was just too much. And lately my body hasn’t enjoyed onions not that it really ever has, so I spent the whole time trying to fish the beans out and spoon up the broth without onions or cilantro… I don’t like having to work to eat. The staff is quick and attentive but not annoyingly so. I was really happy with their service when I went to pay. There was a miscommunication at my bank regarding the deposit I made right before going to this place and my check card was denied. YIKES total embarrassment. But they took down my driver’s license info, which I had no problem providing, and allowed me to return to my bank and solve the problem. I promptly returned to pay and left an extra $ 2 on the tip and told them to fight it out amongst themselves.
