We had a great dining experience at the Bancroft location. Food was absolutely tasty, fresh, and accompanied by an attentive, friendly wait staff. We will make this a regular go to dining experience. Welcome to the neighborhood.

I love this place! The people that work their are really friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The pita is fresh and tastes like Heaven. They have some of the best baba ganoush as well. Normally I get the falafel and s greek salad, both are fantastic!

I have tried just about everything on the menu here. The chicken kabob is my favorite. I have only had the breakfast one time but it was very good. The zaatar is the best I have ever had. The fresh bread straight out of the oven is unbelievable.

After a few weeks of driving past this restaurant on my way to work, I mentioned to my husband it might be a nice place to try out.; very happy we did. Atmosphere is laid back but classy. Staff members were all courteous and prompt. We saw who we presumed to be the owner walking around greeting fellow diners. The food selection was tremendous but yet not overwhelming. Food: fresh pita was served warm and was delicious. Veggie grape leaves were top notch. Falafel was good as well. My husband got the special which was Kafka that night. I ordered the chicken shawarma entrée. Both entrees were cooked just right and were very flavorful. With ordering the appetizers we had plenty to take home for lunch. Next time might order one entrée to share because the portions are large. Great cost for the amount of food. Highly recommend.

Best Lebanese food! And my father, who is from Iran and went to AUB can confirm it is authentic and fresh. Everything is just perfectly delicious, from the zaatar manakeesh to the fatayer. Modern casual interior, wood floor, wooden joists in the ceiling, brick wall in the back, modest prints of Lebanon scenery, with Arabic music playing. Very clean bathrooms. Friendly fast service. Right next to a massive middle eastern market! Going here on my way home from work from now on!

Had a mixed experience for lunch. Arrived and took a look at the menu, ordered the chicken tawook and was asked if I wanted rice or fries with it — I did not want either so the cashier rung me up for two skewers($ 8). My two companions ordered the chicken shawarma and one said she did not want the fries or rice either and the cashier offered her extra meat in place of that(I was not given that option). The other ordered chicken shawarma with fries. We were given a table number and went to find a seat. We were brought delicious homemade pita bread which was very good. After a while of sitting there we wondered if we would get water at any time. After some searching we found a small table with pitchers and cups on it — not sure if we were supposed to serve ourselves but we did as no one told us or brought it to us. When my food arrived there were simply 8 small pieces of chicken on a plate that looked like it was meant for a side item. Not really what I was looking for for lunch. My companions each received a heaping pile of chicken which both had a hard time getting through as it was extremely dry, nothing but a little cup of garlic sauce offered. Fries were tasty. Overall loved the environment and décor, might be a good place to come with friends to enjoy some pita and hummus. Felt like I did not get $ 8 worth of chicken for my tawook skewers and the chicken shawarma was very dry. May possibly try going back and ordering a different item besides shawarma or tawook, perhaps the daily specials.

The pita. The pita is fresh and hot and substantive and absolutely amazing. If this place just served pita and water I would still go there. Best pita I’ve had since we used to visit northeast Ohio as a kid. It is served fresh and hot to your table one big piece at a time. Other than amazing bread, Sidon is a very solid choice for middle eastern food in a city with very good middle eastern food. One of the things I like best is that they have some interesting specials, so in case you get tired of falafel and kabobs and kibbeh(incidentally the raw kibbeh is great here), you can try okra stew with lamb or chicken biryani or some other interesting things that happen to be around just that day. My only slight disappointment here was when I tried to order a big falafel sandwich platter for a Super Bowl party. They said they could plate it all together for me, but when I picked it up, it was in 8 different containers, so I had to plate it at home. Hopefully they will get more proficient with special large orders like that, as this is the kind of delicious food you want to share with people at large gatherings.

Great just great. So inexpensive service works like Panera so its pretty low key. Everything is great plus their grocery store is next door so double function.

In my opinion they have really nice probably the best modern design for dining area for Middle Eastern restaurant around Toledo. Very clean and they are open kitchen(gives customer trust on how they make their food cause customers can see it). I ordered beef Kabob for take out and it was good just little dried out on meat probably cause I didn’t dining in. I will come back again and try other food from their menu.

Amazing! Their food is great! It’s fresh, and portions are great. My new favorite place to get a Fattoush salad. Pitas are made fresh in a wood burning oven. Staff is friendly. Love the restaurant décor as well, modern and very clean!

Great hummus and pita bread. Grape leaves are the best I’ve had as well. We had the kafta and beef shawarma. Both were great and it was enough food to take home for lunch. The atmosphere is nice, whoever decorated this place did a great job. I wish the had some desserts. We will definitely go back!

My favorite Mediterranean in Toledo! So happy that Middle East Market expanded to its new location. Take out was fast… call ahead if you’re in a hurry. The dining room is clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the food was super fresh and tasted great! I love the tabbouli, hummus, kabobs, falafel and even the specialty pizza!

I’d been a regular at the old Middle East Market and was happy to see them carry over their strengths to the new location. Their food is solid — fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. I recognized some of the friendly faces from the old MEM that are an asset to the business. A fantastic addition to the new location is the fresh-from-the-oven puffed up bread that comes to the table with all orders. It’s not exactly clear when you go in, but you order your meal at the register, take a number, and find a table. They will bring your order to you. A suggestion: How about having the bakery whip up some desserts to add to the menu?

The food I had was just okay, which normally would tank a review for me(those of you who eat out for«atmosphere» are oddities to me). However, I liked the restaurant and the staff so much that I’ll be back to try other dishes AND I’m giving 4 stars until then.

My husband and I tried this new restaurant today. We had lamb kebabs and fried kibbie. The kibbie is so tasty, and our lamb wasn’t chewy. The ambience is nice, and the staff was very pleasant. The seem passionate about the new restaurant, and we will be visiting again.
