John Korner’s Bar & Grill

This place will be packed some nights and empty others. There seems to be no logic to when it gets busy but if you’re bored on a random weekday this is the place to checkout.

While I think it was absolutely criminal to turn Rusty’s into a sports bar, I enjoyed hanging out with my cousins here over the holiday. We made good use of the juke box and the dart board.

I come to this bar for the Trivia every Tuesday. The food is awesome, the drinks are cheap, and the waitstaff is friendly. Sure, sometimes they are a bit understaffed, but their friendly attitude makes up for it.

Everything I look for in a dive.
This is my new go-​to place since my other dive (The Break Room) closed. It doesn’t look like much from the outside… maybe a bomb shelter or something. On the inside, it’s a little better.
They have plenty of TVs for sports. Everyone is very friendly and it’s a very communal atmosphere.
The food is surprisingly delicious. Commenting on the chunks and wings only, but they were both of better quality than I’ve had at several other places in Toledo. The wings are the whole wing kind though… that you have to rip apart. So if you’re not down with that, don’t order them. They’re only 50 cents on Tuesday though, so you can fill up for about $ 3.00.
It’s a little out of the way for me, but better than a lot of the places in between.
