Flying Rhino Coffee & Chocolate

Thanks to fellow Unilocalers I got to try Flying Rhino when I was in Toledo. I would never have stumbled upon it. I looked up coffee on Unilocal for my morning fix and read about this place. I used GPS to find it and almost missed it as the GPS told me to turn in to the building on the corner. I drove on and spotted the sign for Flying Rhino on the side of the next building. It was easy to park in the private lot there. When I walked inside, I was surprised to find a bunch of tempting chocolates on the counter. I was soon greeted by the owner and introduced to her coffee blends. I tried two different ones as she was brewing up some more during my visit. I was impressed by the coffee. It was excellent. I also really enjoyed the chocolates! I bought chocolates and a bag of coffee beans to go. I grind my own beans when I travel and so I was able to enjoy Rhino coffee in places I would have had a hard time finding a good cup of Joe. If you are in Toledo, I recommend you visit Flying Rhino! Please not this is not a café! There is no place to sit inside. I rather take coffee to go from here that sit at place serving lousy coffee.

The service was very friendly but I was disappointed to see this was not a café, it was a warehouse/​building that served coffee. You pump the coffee from a carafe and then leave. The coffee was pretty good but not in line with the raves of a few reviews on Unilocal.There is no price for the coffee, just a tip jar. There is a private fenced in parking lot with their own parking which is good so you don’t have to park on the street. There are a few other traditional cafes in the area, one right down Adams street if you want to sit and talk while you drink coffee.

Thank you Gini for the most delicious Paleo treats I picked up when in Toledo. Its always so hard to find time to bake at home especially when like me you are learning to bake breads the Paleo way. sometimes I just dont have the time for trial and error. When I came across your website I was thrilled and then our conversation (which you are amazingly sweet) I couldnt wait to pick up my goodies when we were in the area.
The scones were delicious and the toasting bread-​perfection! The flavors and textures were spot on! Now to get Paleo friendly shops in the Cleveland area… maybe you can branch out!!! A must stop for everyone paleo or not-​delish! Can’t wait to order online.

Best local coffee in Toledo! Ralph & Ginni do a great job with roasting & have a lot of variety for such a small operation. The chocolate is to die for! My favorite is the Bacon OMG– bacon toffee dipped in chocolate. Unbelievable and so so good!

I love the coffee, the owners, and the location. You would be hard pressed to find a more welcoming coffee shop in Toledo. The warehouse is very unique and deceivingly spacious. If you ask real nice they will give you a tour of the coffee roasting area and chocolate room, too. :)

The flying rhino, although not a sit down coffee shop, is well worth the stop. Their crafted chocolates are extremely delectable and very asthetically pleasing. The coffee, made with natural unprocessed ingredients, is by far the most delicious coffee I have ever had. Not to mention the conversation, the owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The coffee was great, and the owners were fantastic. But I was looking for more of a sit-​down, traditional coffee shop, and this was a little bar inside of a warehouse building, with no seating or atmosphere at all. A little disappointing to me.

This is an amazing shop! The coffee does not get any better than this. I love there chocolate and there fast, friendly service. I would defiantly recommend this to shop to anyone interested in fresh delicious coffee and wonderful chocolate! A perfect 10

What an amazing place
I had the best cup of coffee east of the San Andreas fault at the flying rhino!
If I lived in Toledo, I would drink coffee here all the time. They also sell coffee beans that have been roasted here.
Also, as a bonus, they make chocolate here! Nothing is better for a coffee drinker than a great espresso and dark chocolate.
The owner is really nice. Thank you for a great cup of coffee!

Delicious coffee spot run by lovely people. I’m new in town and the owner greeted me with a smile and a lot of helpful information. The coffee is delicious and the chocolates look amazing. I’ll be back to try them all.

What a great place! The espresso was delicious and the owner was so sweet.
My boyfriend and I were driving through and wanted a cup, so we called them and one of the owners gave us exact directions. She was so sweet and walked us around. They’re working on transforming a new space, which is a little misleading from the outside, but still, very cute.
The drip coffee was a little old and a little darker for my taste, but the beans they had roasted seemed really nice. We’re definitely going to stop again and see how they’ve progressed.
