This particular location is the worse. Rude manager. Staff yelled at me when I looked at the hams in the refrigerator. Complained to manager and she was even more harsh. Went to giant and bought one there instead… And cheaper. I’ll never go to this location again. I spend a lot of money at hbh each year. Now on I’ll buy at the mechanicsburg location with the professionals.

I chose this location for lunch because I figured it wouldn’t be as crowded as the other restaurants in this shopping center, and I was right. I’ve had both the bone in ham and the classic sandwich. The bone in ham is a little strange, you’re not supposed to heat it up, I assume because the glaze(which is delicious) melts. Either way, it’s pretty solid. However, you could buy the same size ham at the grocery store at half the price, and I mean, all you have to do is spread the glaze and warm it in the oven for a few hours… why wouldn’t you do that? The sandwich would be really good if not for the fact that the honey mustard is just overpowering! The ham is good, the bread and veggies are fresh, and the cheese might as well not be there due to the honey mustard issue. The sandwich is also relatively expensive, though I would get it again with modifications. The service here is pretty bad. The sandwich«artist» seemed pretty put out when I tried to order modified sandwiches(one with no tomato, one with no mayo– not that difficult).

BOMB ham sandwich. I crave it all the time. It’s a well known secret between my friends and I. A day I eat a ham classic toasted(bread, meat and cheese toasted) is a great day. The perfect hangover cure as well. If I could afford it Id probably eat one 4 or more times a week but it’s so gd expensive. Ingredients are superior quality and sandwiches are master crafted. If you like ham even a little bit your taste buds will do cartwheels. Ham salad is also amazing. Seems weird but necessary to try and wonderful. Great frozen foods and cakes too. I’ve been to this location as well as one in Anne Arundel county and I’ve noticed that the staff comes in 2 groups: a 60+ yr old woman or a 16 year old girl. Service is OK and the staff is usually hiding in the back and comes out when the buzzer goes off from opening the door. Kind of annoying when we needed something else… we had to open the front door and close it for the buzzer go off to get their attention. Which isn’t really a big deal. I mean I don’t come to HBH for the service, I come for the holy, divine, breathtakingly beautiful sandwich that is the ham classic. Black-bottom cheesecake cupcakes are also one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten.
