Great place to stop in with the kids, or puppy socialization! Nice people, plenty of parking, bathrooms, and the bay is there to see, walk around. Worth stopping… and don’t forget the quarters to buy food for the fish and watch the Rainbow Trout jump straight out of the water.

We love fish hatcheries and when driving the 3 Capes Senic Route while on vacation, we stopped in. The runs were empty as we were there at the wrong time of year. There is a big pond with giant Rainbows. We spent a buck or two on fish food and had fun.

When driving the 3 Capes Scenic Route, be sure to stop at the Whiskey Creek Fish Hatchery. This is an all volunteer hatchery that raises, clips and then releases salmon and trout into the Trask & Wilson rivers. For a nominal charge, you can buy fish food and feed the many sizes of fish in the tanks. This is a great thing to do with the kids, but is fun even if you’re just a big kid at heart. Be sure to walk around the grounds and find the huge trout in the pond.
