Leon is the best. I can honestly say his haircuts changed my life. I walked in with a terrible mane (after being traumatized by the worst haircut in my life 8 months before), and showed him a picture I scribbled down, and asked him to please, help me. He said he could fit me in between appointments. WOOSH. Around 15 minutes later, I walked out of the salon a new woman. I have never been so happy with a haircut so much before. I was so inspired by my new look that over the next few months, I started wearing better clothes, learned how to do makeup, started joining clubs, taking leadership roles… It’s funny how one really good haircut started it all.
Years later, I still go to Leon for all my haircuts, and now my sister goes there too. This summer, I wanted to cut my hair drastically shorter and he did a great job. My haircuts always grow out nicely, too. It’s also great that he knows how to properly cut our Asian hair (something I’ve struggled to find in salons here). Most haircuts are around $ 20 – 30, though I always tip a little extra because I walk out happy every time.
YOLO Salon was formerly called In-​Style Salon. I have been a faithful customer since 2009, before I even moved to Portland. I still make the trip all the way out there just for his haircuts (and Korean food from H-​Mart next door, yum). Highly recommended!

Out of all the barber shops and hair places located in the Portland area, Yolo Salon is my go to. Leon and Cho are easily the best. I’ve never been disappointed.

I absolutely love this hair salon. I have been going to the same hair stylist for last 7 years. Leon and his brother absolutely fantastic, and amazing at what they do. Hair cut will cost you around $ 25 – 30 for women, and you will get hair cut done right.

This place was by far the best salon I have ever been to. All I did was get a haircut. I came in with a picture. Leon was the only one there so he asked me to come back later. I did and after waiting about 3 minutes he got me started. I showed him the picture again and he asked me a few questions, then he got started. He was very fast. (I was chopping a lot off). I had a unique hair cut, but he never hesitated. I got there at 4. I left around 4:20 with a awesome hair cut, shampooed and conditioned, and styled. He was very friendly, and nice. It cost me about $ 25. He did a awesome job. I will be back the next time my hair grows out some more.
